I'm still using the Axii Puppet so much, I actually rely more on that then Quen lately! I did a quest last night called Little Red which at the time was a bit above my level. Turned out it was a Werewolf quest (go figure with a name like Little Red lol!) and it was hard to fight! So I used Axii Puppet on the Werewolf and guess what! It made it kill all of the bandits in its own group, and then I kept casting it and once they were all dead, it made the Werewolf just stand there. So I would run up and get 4 quick slashes on it, run back and cast it again, run up and repeat! I wound up beating it super easy without even getting attacked. I think Axii Puppet might be the most helpful Sign in the game lol! Oh and I did use the Dancing Star bomb, and I love it too!!
I liked the first South Park game because it was just that stupid-silly type of humor, but believe it or not, it actually still had some good RPG mechanics! The combat and skill trees and level up system, while changing out with your buddies to select which one works best for the type of fight you're about to do, was actually pretty good. Either way, lots of games to look forward to! But Fallout 4 the most, of course.
Yeah I'm curious myself as to why we've seen no gameplay from Tomb Raider yet. Hmmm. I'm still perplexed as to why they would release it on the same day as Fallout too lol! Gosh, from E3, aside from those games, I'm also excited about Deus Ex, Dishonored 2, Unraveled (looks like a ID@Xbox game I think) and the new South Park game lol. With Dishonored 2, I just really, really hope they don't throw in some sort of DLC or ridiculous achievements in the main game like how they did with the first Dishonored's DLC. That prevented so many people, including me, from going for the 100%. If they have some crazy achievement in their next game, then I'll still play it, but I won't bother going for the full completion then. I'm looking forward to the next Deus Ex because that new stealth mechanic in the trailer where it looks like they cloak in black looks really cool and I can't wait to try it out!
So much progress in The Witcher, woo hoo! Now all I can really do is the Main quests in Novigrad and then I'll be moving on to Skellige soon, since I have no more Contract or Side quests to do here until I hit level 23+. Oh! Also, I edited my last post in your thread of All Witcher Contracts to update some more level requirements for some of the Contracts which still showed a "??" for the recommended levels. I figured I would tell you here, since I edited my last post to avoid a double post lol, so I don't think you'll get a new post notification that way. There are a few more in Skellige, so I'll update it with those too once I get there, if nobody else has updated them already.
These quests are SO exciting though!! And it goes back to something I said the other day, how The Witcher takes you from doing one quest, into another and then into yet another quest, before you are done. Doing Broken Flowers led into more Gwent quests, and into the Get Junior quests, which have then led me into the one I'm on now, the Count Reuven's Treasure quest. It's never ending, and I LOVE IT! I also uncovered a couple more fast travel points last night, bought some more recipes from Merchants/Herbalists and knocked out about 4 more "!" quests on the map that I stumbled across. But honestly the Broken Flowers quest did it for me. It was all fun trying to find Dandelion and going to talk to all of his women (lol) but when you meet Priscilla and she sings that song, oh my gosh. Good Lawd! I googled it and a lot of sites have the name of it as, "The Wolven Storm." I even saw sites where you can download it as a MP3!
I also got some more Side Quests done, so now I have all of those done as well except for the ones that require me to go to Skellige, of which I think there are two. I also finished up all of the Gwent quests that I could, so I played Zoltan which then led me back to Roche (haha, funny since I stumbled on him the other day anyway ) and then I went to the Bath House to talk to Sigi Reuven, where I also won another Gwent card from him. Gwent seems to have become more easy than ever now, as I won all of those games on my first try, easily! And I went back to Novigrad to the Merchant and the Blacksmith that I couldn't beat when I first arrived in Novigrad, and beat both of them on my first try last night too.
I got through a good chunk of stuff last night though, I was very pleased with my Witcher gaming lol! I finally went and did all of the Velen fist fights, and grabbed the Fist of the South Star achievement, and did the horse races there too (they were all very easy!). I did all of the Contracts that I can, including the Doppler one, Deadly Delights (I let the Succubus go because I tried twice to kill her but it was too hard lol), Swamp Thing, The Apiarian Phantom and An Elusive Thief. I'm done with Contracts for now, as all of the ones left are in red because their levels are in the 20's and 30's. I did gain two more levels last night, so now I'm up to level 15. The game really continues to get easier, the more I level up!
I was speechless after that part. It was so sad yet so beautiful! I got a good screenshot of Geralt and Zoltan while she was singing and they both had their eyes shut, I think they were teary eyed! Really, Geralt should have been regardless because it was about him and Yen and if there were any part in the game that should move The White Wolf to tears, that will be it. Even if I had wanted to go with Triss up to this point, that would have been the changing moment right there. Yen and Geralt are meant to be together! "I know not if fate would have us live as one, Or if by love's blind chance we've been bound..." Either way, they are bound, be it by love or fate! (I think it's by both. ) Oh my god, what a beautiful scene!! That entire quest was amazing, I wish I could reload a save just before it and do it again. Now this really makes me unable to wait until him and Yen are together!
BIGG! I did Broken Flowers last night!!! I knew exactly what you were talking about when I got to the part with Priscilla's song! Ohhhhhhhhh man, this confirmed my decision to go with Yen!! The song was so pretty! It was really touching, oh my gosh everyone was crying in the room too! It was so perfectly about Geralt and Yen, and just described their love so perfectly too! I knew instantly what it was about from the beginning...
"You flee my dream come the morning
Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet
To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy
Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep"
And the first line of the next part... "The wolf I will follow into the storm."
I'll keep you updated as I play through some more Witcher tonight and tomorrow night! And you'll have to let me know how Batman goes, as I can't believe that's already around the corner now too! Where does the time go?! Before we know it, it will be November already lol!
