I loved how when you dropped in on the Crones, and they turned and saw it was Ciri, they dropped their act (and the head that one of them was petting!) and took on their true form. It was like, s*** just got real! LOL! I was so worried because there were 3 of them and thought this fight is gonna be so bad, but luckily I only died a few times and then finished their fight. Doing that, immediately followed by Geralt and Imlerith, was one of my most favorite parts of the final hours of the game! Awesomeness followed by more awesomeness!!
By the way, I was so excited that the Crones came back into the game!! When I got to the part where Ciri gets chosen to go see them, and Geralt gets the coin as well, I was going, "Yessss! The Crones! I bet I get to fight them now!" Ha ha ha! Oh gosh, that fight with Imlerith was AWESOME!!! I didn't have too hard of a time with it, thanks to lots of dodging, but he was tricky at the end! He was constantly teleporting next to me and it was just a matter of constantly pressing B to dodge, while trying to get a swipe in here and there. I took screenshots of him after the fight, when he took his helmet off, and wow. It was just awesome!
I loved that scene of Geralt slowly, slowwllllyyyyyy pushing the bottle towards the edge of the desk, and then Crash! And Ciri knew exactly what was up too! She sort of smiled and then started knocking something over herself, it's like each knew what the other was thinking! That was such a fun scene, I laughed out loud while it played out. They were so silly and it was great! I laughed even harder at the end with the mustache that Yen drew on Avallac'h too!! I never expected anything from her, as she was just standing there watching them like they were crazy lol!
I loved Avallac'h's short and to-the-point demeanor, but yet you could see he was cared deeply about the situation with Ciri, and had integrity. I was also a bit curious about his interest in Ciri after going to his lab and seeing his pictures he drew of her! Now that is a bit beyond just being worried about her power, I think he secretly had more of a personal interest in her. Maybe because he's looking at her as a descendant of his people, with the blood of that one woman (what was her name? Laura or Lauren? Not sure lol!) and it caused more feelings towards her than he lets on.
Oh man, the Aen Elle elves were so intriguing in the game! There were several parts where you would go underground and explore old Elven ruins and it really made me think that I wished we had more story on that. I wish we could have seen the world when the Elves ruled and had their temples. It was beautiful when you went with Avallac'h to talk to the other Aen Elle (I forget his name, ugh!! The one painting the funny painting when you arrive) and you get a little view of his world there, with the waterfalls and bridges. Oh my gosh it was gorgeous. I think they are just a gorgeous race, and really want to know more about them.
I was really touched on the part when she went back to make sure Skjall was buried. I think she really did like the guy, and it made me a bit sad. But yeah that's strange how at first Ciri was upset and wanted to leave after talking to Emhyr, but later, she seemed to have thought it over and said it was what she wanted. Maybe it's like you said, she had time to think about it and then things became clearer to her. There were times during making dialogue choices that I just sat there thinking about it, staring at the screen too. It was so emotional!
As a Witcher, she can still help people, but it's more of a one-at-a-time thing. As Empress, she can help everyone through far grander decisions. It's still sad of me to think of her not being a Witcher, since she is one, but that's kind of selfish and I know that lol. Especially if she says she wants to do that. So sad, yet so beautiful of an outcome and ending for her. I can see her ruling with both her heart and her strength, and the people loving her for it. She is strong and stubborn but she cares for people, so I know she would be the greatest ruler ever.
I'm still torn with these endings, even though it's been 3 days since I've finished it lol! I'm going back and forth on if I should pick it back up (I still have a save) just before entering the Isle of Mists, and redo it the opposite way. Or I don't know, maybe I'll leave it since it was my original ending. I can't believe the ending/fate of your game all decided on that ONE dialogue choice, on whether or not to go with Ciri to Velen or to take her to see Emhyr first. Wow lol. I think the ending you got is right for her though, and will do the most good for the most people.
I was thinking something like cannon ball alley or a rope or even a ladder. For now I guess I'll just drop but eventually once I get the hang of it I'll learn to work my way down.
Once every two months Corrupt. and I go through every game that doesn't have a published guide. If the "last edited" is greater than 60 days we'll either send it to the Greenbook, contact the author to see what they plan to do with it (if they want more time that's completely fine) or decide to go ahead and publish it. Looks like his last edit was yesterday.
You missed the only female running the course making it passed the dice. I thought for sure if she made it to the second one which was 50 lbs there was no way she could do it. Proved me wrong lol. I'm rooting for the wolf pack and Meghan to make it. I saw a video of Drew Dreschel teaching a guy the salmon ladder made of nothing but wood. I suck at construction so we'll see what happens.
