Then before I left, there was the issue of Nettie, so I used my Axii on the Rev. and said to untie her and let her go, and leave her alone, that sort of thing. So I did that and he said, "Ok" and did it lol. Nettie was thankful. But yeah the cut scene with Hubert at the docks was so cool when he said (paraphrasing), "You should have drawn your Silver sword." Then the morphing, I was like Ahhhh! So cool! But I wish it was longer, because in reality that whole part in the cut scene was probably like 5 seconds long lol.
Oh man, I agree, vacation homes in both Skellige and the Grassy Knoll area would be nice! Maybe when him and Yen get tired of chasing monsters, they will settle down and do something like that lol. Well, my main story quest is Ugly Baby now, so it looks like I'm headed back to the Bloody Baron's place to see Uma. This should be interesting lol!
Yeah, when I walked in on Rev. Nathaniel, it was dialogue choices that I made that allowed me to talk to him and we figured out together that it was Hubert! I can't for the life of me remember now what it was that I chose though... I was just kind of winging it, I hadn't looked up anything on the quest beforehand or anything. But whatever I chose, led him to say that whoever was behind the killings knew he would be there with Sweet Nettie and sent Geralt, to make it look like it was him. Then he realized that Hubert was the only one that knew he was there, and Geralt said yeah, Hubert is the one who found the note on the body that Sweet Nettie was next, thus making Geralt rush there. So Rev. Nate said you can find Hubert in the docks, where he's picking up a shipment of Formaldehyde, and you should get your answer there.
Man, I might have to tie Wolfenstein TNO and Metro Redux for 2nd place in my Top Five X1 Games Thus Far list lol! The narratives that BJ would do in Wolfenstein were so well voiced, he was perfect as BJ, and it was almost mesmerizing playing that game. The guns, shooting and action were incredible and the world that they depicted being ruled by the Nazi regime was so believable and scary all at the same time. But the Metro games - I fell in love with them, with Artyom, with the struggle that he and all of the survivors endured. The Librarians, the Demons and the Nosalis monsters come to mind immediately! And the Dark Ones, my goodness. It was a very atmospheric game and always tense - what's in the tunnels? Am I going to run out of air filters? Always something. And you could feel Artyom's stress as you played! Shoot, many times I actually got stressed out playing parts of it lol. They are SUCH great games!
I do remember those bobbleheads in Fallout 3, and agreed! I actually wanted to find those, because there weren't too many of them, and they helped boost your skills so they were helpful in the game. Finding pointless trinkets just for the sole purpose of getting the achievement for it, while it does nothing to help you in the game, stinks big time. I really dislike when games do that too.
Just because I love RPG's so much, I think I'm going to enjoy DA Inquisition. I'm usually not a big person on playing a game and comparing it constantly to another game, and putting it down because of it, so I'll keep an open mind in that regard when I play it. I'll try to put Witcher out of my mind and focus on Inquisition lol. But with all of the RPG elements, I think I'll enjoy it for the most part, at least.
Since CD is working on Cyberpunk right now, I wonder how long until we hear anything on the next Witcher game? If they don't release Cyberpunk until 2017 or even 2018, do you think they'll just then begin working on the next Witcher? Oh man, then it might be 2021 or 2022 before the next Witcher if they take 3-4 years on that. That's too long lol!
Ugh, collectibles. You know, I just realized there aren't any collectibles in the Witcher, are there? I never really thought about that before! I mean, you have your side quests which include some fetch quests, but there's not any achievements related to anything like, "Find all _____." CD deserves another hug for that one. I truly think it's made the game more enjoyable. You have the scavenger hunts, which give you the Witcher gear sets and such, but it's not required for an achievement or anything, so that's up to you. Oh my gosh, another reason I love CD now!
I'll definitely do that with the headshots achievement, and redistribute my skill points. I actually grabbed a potion of clearance last night while I was playing, because while I was doing the Skellige Gwent quest line, I had to get 3 items for Gremist in his Practicum in Advanced Alchemy quest, in order to play him. After I played him, I looked through his wares and he had one so I grabbed it for that achievement later.
I have the Missing Son contract as well, but right now it's red as it's a level 29 quest. I'll get to it soon though! It's strange, even though I'm higher level now and it's taking 2K xp to level up, it still feels like I'm leveling up pretty fast overall. Doing these quests and contracts helps so much with that. Sometimes I just go talk to someone and then it updates the quest and boom! 200 or 300 xp just for that lol.
I finished the Gwent quests (Skellige) and played everyone there in the main Gwent quest. Now I only have a few fist fighting ones left and horse races, so I need to get those done. Bigg, this game is SO MUCH FUN! I get giddy when I sit down to play it, it's so weird! I can't even explain it. I really dread the day when I finish this game.
I have the High Stakes quest, but haven't played it yet as it's a level 26 quest, but I'll play it soon! Ha ha, can't wait to meet Madame Sasha then, but that was actually really cool of you to reload your save so you didn't stray from Yen! I'll do the same. You're a good guy, Bigg! It reminds me of the Iron Maiden quest when you have to go and retrieve the sword for Jutta, so that you can prove yourself worth to fight her. Then afterwards she invites you back to her home, ha ha. I should have reloaded my save after that, but I didn't think of it! Ahhhh, my Geralt has some apologizing to do to Yen.
Good morning Bigg! I made a little more progress last night and finally got a few more achievements out of the way, ha ha! Nothing major, but I got two for two of the Contracts (The Mystery of The Byway Murders - Sarasti, and the Woodland Spirit) and then the Necromancer achievement for the Nameless quest. Sarasti was pretty easy, and the Woodland Spirit was so cool looking! The Nameless quest was really good, as I thought that Skjall really was craven for running when the Wild Hunt came. But then after playing as Ciri and enjoying her Spa vacation (LOL), I saw that he was trying to help her get out and protect her. I was like, awww, this guy really likes her lol. And he really wasn't craven, as I saw him step in front of her when the Wild Hunt came, and he raised his little axe to protect her. Poor Skjall. I did have Ciri give him a kiss just before the Wild Hunt came - his first ever kiss. Awwww lol.
I'm glad I went with Cerys too, I agree I liked her a lot. I've noticed there are a lot of redheads in Skellige! She was one of the first ones I noticed, but now I see them quite often. Skellige is unique in so many ways, I just love it here. If I were Geralt, I would buy a vacation home here lol.
