Awww, I appreciate that, it's ok. I'm a little better now, I've just started playing again a little bit ago just because I have to know what happens next, but I'm still incredibly sad. I honestly didn't think he was dead, I thought it just seemed that way, so it didn't even hit me until Ciri was over him and she started crying, saying it was her fault. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Yeah the whole quest, finalized with that scene, oh my god. So many feelings at once. I truly felt devastated at the end, I really did. I still tear up over it even now if I think about it. I immediately wrote you because I knew you would know exactly how I feel. I remember you saying how emotional the end was, how it affected you, and now I know what you were talking about. It's overwhelming..
Bigg.. oh my god.. Bigg. My head is spinning right now! Ciri's scream scene? And then I get hit with this?? Vesemir????? Really, Vesemir?? I'm completely crying right now. I'm on my third kleenex, I had to stop playing. Why Vesemir??? I literally can't play this game right now. I had to get up and pace around my house for a bit. I mean, I'll keep playing, but I'm so upset right now. He can't be... but he's on my screen burning right now, so he is. Oh my god Bigg. Oh my god. I'm still crying as I'm typing this.
Oh my gosh, I'm taking a lot in right now with TW3, ha ha, but I wanted to share one awesome little thing I just found out! Ciri explains how Avallac'h got cursed!
It's really quick, just one or two sentences, so it's easy to miss, but it caught my attention since we've been talking about it. It was Eredin, he did it to humiliate him! He wanted to humiliate him, rather than kill him. I made a clip of it, if you want to see, here. Yayyyy, it's small and insignificant in the story of the game, but at least now we know lol.
I just got it! Master Marksman! 4 Hours and 5 minutes, and 126 headshots later. Thank goodness that is over with, as that was truly the only grindy achievement in the game. Whew! Now back to having some fun again!
I remember reading about the perma-death in State of Decay, and that seems like kind of a cool feature, maybe? It sucks if you're used to playing that one character a lot or you've upgraded him a lot, but it makes it more realistic at the same time. It does sound like The Walking Dead. It's one of those games that I might grab on sale, if I had nothing else to play. Unfortunately, I have so many other games to get to though! Yeah, I can't believe I still have to finish up the Pre-Sequel too! At least it sounds like you're almost done with State of Decay, so that's good.
Well, back to the headshots... Wish me luck it pops soon before it puts me to sleep again lol!
Yeah what you said about FC4 sounds like the impression I got when I watched gameplay of it. I don't know why, but I also got bored (I know that sounds horrible!) with FC3. I know there are so many people that loved it, so I feel like something must be wrong with me lol. But I was playing it and just lost interest, and honestly I still have the disc but I never even finished it. It's just sitting there. So when I looked at FC4 and saw more of the same, I knew it wasn't for me. I can't really explain why, but the game just doesn't "grab" my attention the same way that games like the Witcher do. I'm glad a lot of people enjoyed it though, as I seem to be in the minority of those who don't care for the series too much.
Yeah it scares me to think how in the world CDPR will be able to do this again in their next Witcher game, especially if they don't have Geralt in it. The next Witcher has some BIG shoes to fill, and I'd say they're almost near impossible to fill. Geralt made the Witcher games what they are, and I can't imagine them without him. But what more could they do beyond what has been done? I can't imagine.. I guess as long as the same team of Lead Developers/Writers/etc works on the next Witcher game, then I will remain optimistic. I can't imagine what they can do next, but I guess that's why they get paid to do what they do and why I'm not a game Developer lol. I'll just happily say to them, "Take my money!" when the next Witcher game comes out lol!
I can't wait to get to Avallac's laboratory now! I'll try to carefully pick my dialogue so I can see the fun cut scene lol. Oh yeah that maxed out Fast Attack skill which adds the bleeding is one of my two favorite skills in the game now, right next to Axii Puppet! Although I haven't even had to use that lately, now that I'm higher level. My final Contract last night was The Creature of Oxenfurt Forest, which was a level 35 Archgriffin. I was level 34, but I figured I could take it. Oh my gosh Bigg, it was a piece of cake because of that bleeding effect in my Fast Attack skill tree! When he landed, I would take hits and then he would fly up and I'd watch his health go down by a third! The third time he landed, I finished him easily. It was surprising yet incredible.
I do see Triss as a manipulator now, the more I've read the story and how she was originally written. She seems nice and sweet, but it doesn't mean she's not out for her own interests, and she's willing to use and manipulate Geralt to do it. Which is the total opposite of Yen. Yen is straight up, she tells it how it is, and as a matter of fact, she's the one that wanted any magical bond that tied her and Geralt together to be broken so they would both (mutually) know if their feeling were true or not! Triss would never do that. Even when Yen is acting b****y, I think it's just her hard exterior and her strong will that is showing through. Her sole purpose right now is to get Ciri, and she's dead serious about it. Yen is that friend that would always have your back and she would kill those that try to harm you. She doesn't play around. Deep down though, she is definitely a soft, lovable puddle lol.
