I'll keep you updated as I play through some more Witcher tonight and tomorrow night! And you'll have to let me know how Batman goes, as I can't believe that's already around the corner now too! Where does the time go?! Before we know it, it will be November already lol!
The mods are game changing to me though! I remember mods to change the looks of Lidia and other characters to where they were so much prettier, and shoot, I've even seen then in super sexy lingerie running around the game with you like that lol! The mods to make amazing custom weapons and really cool looks for your character from the face to the clothes they can wear, are really interesting to me and I'll be giving them a try, for sure! They will probably even have mods to customize your house with nice features, so it doesn't look so much like a shack I guess! But as we said, I want to enjoy the "vanilla" game first, because as amazing as that will be, think of how hilariously out of place a beach house would be in Fallout 4 with tile floors and granite countertops, and flat screen TV's in every room! LOL! But still, it will be great fun to play with though.
I completely adore Ciri's voice too, and Yen's, and Triss's for that matter! They represent each of the characters so well. Especially with Ciri, you can hear the energetic and youthful beauty in her voice. I've said it before, but you have a great voice yourself Bigg! Have you ever looked into career paths toward that? Or what you would have to do to start training for it? There's got to be online sites where you can upload some voice samples, and where Developers can listen and contact you from there. It's definitely worth looking into!
Yeah I've seen videos of some of those Skyrim mods, oh my gosh I laughed so hard! I remember something that would shoot wheels of cheese, it might have been a bow and arrow set? I think I might have even seen a video featuring Master Chief as the playable character in Skyrim. This will be hilarious if anything even remotely similar comes to Fallout 4!
The Dudu character looks just like his actor! Ha! I was on YouTube and under "recommended" videos there was one of an interview with Doug Cockle. He doesn't naturally talk like Geralt at all! He was talking normal, but then he could turn on the raspy voice of Geralt whenever. I kind of had a feeling, because I've noticed in the game when Geralt yells, sometimes he loses that deep husky voice. There have been times that he's yelled, and I've actually thought to myself, "That didn't sound like Geralt at all! Hmmm.." But I would always talk like that if I were him. If I were in a restaurant, I would love to order lunch as Geralt of Rivia LOL! How cool would that be! Oh man, I agree with you, Geralt has a very sexy voice. It's part of his whole appeal, I think. Personally, I love that sound that his voice has. It's the same sort of rough, raspy voice that Adam Jensen had in Deus Ex. I love it.
So Ciri gets a special ability that she unlocks at the end? I remember Geralt saying something about how she can travel between worlds or something like that? He was even having a hard time explaining it lol. But it sounds very interesting and I can't wait to see it. I'm really looking forward to that!
That's so crazy that the first two fights at the end are the hardest, and then the third and fourth are the easiest! From recent memory, the final boss fight in Kingdoms of Amalur was the same! I was completely confused, I thought, there is no way that was it. The game can't seriously be over now? The final boss fight was so easy, I didn't even get hit once. The fights leading up to that were much harder, where I actually died trying to get through them lol! So it sounds similar. Hmmm, so strange! Well at least I know now that once I get past the first two fights, it won't be as bad after that. That's good!
When I fought the Greedy God, as long as I stayed on my half of the basement, he wouldn't cross the imaginary line in the middle and come to my side! He kept running and jumping around, but wouldn't come to me at all. So I spammed him with Igni and a few quick sword slashes. I do wish there were more Sylvan's in the game though, and they're interesting and fun to fight regardless.
I think I shall kiss Triss for sure during the fireworks too. This all makes me want to get back to the main story! But I feel like I still have too much to do in Velen before I leave to head to Skellige! Ahhh! But yes I will be watching out for the Gwent tournament, I do remember there are the 3 cards I have to win there, so I'll make a manual save before each opponent! I can't wait! Do you get an actual Geralt of Rivia card for your Gwent deck? I finally have a good deck now that seems to be beating all of the opponents I find lately.
Thank you so much for breaking down the Eye For An Eye quest for me, that's makes sense now! I was wondering how I would have ran into Roche and Ves if I hadn't been wandering around. I keep going back and forth on deciding if I should go back to Main Story stuff, side quests, monster contracts, or do some grinding to get more achievements out of the way. I get genuinely torn trying to decide what to do! I'm definitely looking forward to the other Witcher though. I already wonder if his first impression will be better than Lambert's.
I still want to reload Sarah's quest to do it again. Sadly, I'm much too far past it now, but true, I guess either way at least she winds up happy. The Dreamer seems really happy with her too, almost in a strange motherly way, so at least Sarah's happy. But I would have rather seen her with Johnny because maybe one day they would have little baby Godling's, and that would have been cute lol.
I'm almost done with the Fool's Gold quest, I'll finish it tonight, and I was surprised it was leveled down so low too. I'm about to have to lead the pigs using my Axii, so that's where I left off. The quest with the stolen clothes was funny, it was a short quest but it was silly enough to make you laugh. I've been rotating between trying all of the different bombs, but I'll focus on the Dancing Star some more tonight! I didn't realize it has the 100% chance to burn, because I try to cast Igni sometimes, but it seems to be a 50/50 chance for it to ignite someone. I've also been playing around with the Blizzard (I think that's the name?) bomb, which freezes enemies for a few seconds! I like that one a lot too, and it helps with the larger enemies as it also seems to freeze them too. Sometimes I'll do the Dragon's Dream bomb followed by Igni to cause an explosion too, and that takes good chunks of health off of the enemy.
Yeah I found myself keeping Axii selected for a long while the last I played, and I wished I'd used this more when I was lower level and everything seemed to be higher level than me. I would get killed so fast by groups of Drowners, and if only I had used the Axii Puppet skill more, I wouldn't have had any problems. It's great!
I think I'll go for a few more achievements tonight, especially working towards uncovering 100 fast travel points. It's definitely very handy! I've ran around uncovering random ones, even though I have no need for those particular fast travels, but then later you'll get some random quest and when you look at your Map, it's near to one of those fast travels that you uncovered earlier that you didn't think you would ever use.
I've been spending a good hour this morning getting a little caught up through YouTube of videos and trailers from E3, as I missed a lot of it due to work. What amazing stuff! One of the first things that grabbed my attention though - Why are they releasing Rise of the Tomb Raider on November 10th?! What are they thinking?? They are going to lose so many sales on that day, because everyone is going to want to play Fallout 4 first and they'll wait to get Tomb Raider until they're done with F4, hoping on some cheaper used copies up for sale by then! I know I'll be waiting on Tomb Raider now, and I was probably going to get it day one too. They really should have delayed that. Even 2 or 3 weeks later would have been better. That's crazy to release any other game on the same day as Fallout 4!
