Now I really can't wait to get to Skellige, and I can feel it's coming up soon! I look forward to hearing the music as well, and seeing the land. Since you said it's very Nordic and reminds you of Skyrim, I'm looking more forward to it than ever. I can't wait to see Geralt in that setting! Thanks for letting me know about the Wolf Gear not being available until I get to Kaer Morhen, whew. I'll definitely get it when I get there!
Oh! And I do have The Play's The Thing quest now! I haven't started it at all, so I'll do that as well when I play again. Can't wait to play it now! I'll probably do that first actually, because it's a level 11 quest and I'm already level 17. I need to get to Skellige soon too, because the quests I have that take me there are getting lower and lower in relation to my level now. Some of them are level 11 and 13, so I need to get to it.
I'm also building up my fast attack and my strong attack skill trees. I definitely want to grow them, as they help a lot when you put points in there as well as unlocking new abilities. The game just keep getting 500million% better by the day!
Oh yes, when I Googled Priscilla's Song, all kinds of MP3's of it came up lol! Here is one, which I think has the song in English, Polish and other languages too! I might download it too. I know I'll be looking it up and playing it on YouTube quite often. Actually, I got the soundtrack to the game from pre-ordering it, and I need to check that! I wonder if they put it on the soundtrack? I never thought to check that until now. I'm going to take that CD and put it in my car today and listen to it when I go out. It's SUCH a beautiful song, that lady that sings it has a mesmerizing voice.
I also gained two more levels last night. I'm glad I really haven't experienced any glitches with getting XP with the game so far. There are some quests I would only get 40 XP from, but I was way overleveled for them when I did them, so I think that's why. Otherwise, now that I'm back in the main story lines, I'm getting XP and leveling up really well. And it really is making the game much easier!
I also used my Quen more last night, lol! When I went to help Roche defend Ves, I used Axii Puppet again on all of the enemies and it made it go soooo fast. Either my puppet got killed instantly by the other enemies, or he killed them, so either way it just makes it go so fast without you risking your neck in battle. I even used it on the Katakan in the sewers too, and it made him stand there long enough for me to hit him good with my sword. It's definitely my favorite sign, and I wish we could put even more points into Puppet for a longer effect.
After Triss was gone, I also went back to Roche and did his Eye For An Eye quest and helped him to save Ves, so that's done! Now I've got the quests A Deadly Plot to help Dijkstra bring down Radovid, and Redania's Most Wanted to go and find Phillipa. I feel like I'm making good progress! I'll do those quests the next time I play. I gotta say I was happy to kill Whoreson Junior, he was such a psychopath! That was one sick guy, I had to kill him lol.
I also loved the part where you play as Ciri again, in Junior's quest line! I don't know if it's the same ability you were talking about, but while fighting my way (as Ciri) through Junior's place after I rescued Dudu (what a funny name!), she had a new ability where you hold the right trigger and a light expands past the enemies, and then when you release it, she kind of dashes behind them and hits them while they're in slow motion! It was so cool!! I wish Geralt had that, I love her powers!
Well, I definitely made some more progress last night! I finally finished the quests for Count Reuven's Treasure and Get Junior, wow they took forever too! They were a lot of fun though. And I got Triss's quests - A Matter of Life and Death and Now or Never. I went with her to the ball at the Vengelbud estate, and won all 3 rounds of Gwent on my first try! So I got those 3 cards, yay! After that, I did kiss her during the fireworks, woo hoo! And then I helped her get those 2 Mages, although one died and since it was part of the cut scene, I'm guessing that was supposed to happen? We cleared out the sewers, I saw my first Katakan down there, and off she sailed. I didn't try to stop her or anything, I just let her go. I suppose that was the chance to seal the deal with Triss? Other than the kiss, I tried to make every conversation choice as "friends only" as possible. Sometimes I felt a little cold, but I had to make it that way to be safe!
Yeah I've seen those Skyrim mods too! Shoot, I've seen mods that make the females in it completely naked, lol! I think it's hilarious lol. This is all why I'm so excited about the possibilities with Fallout 4 though, because I want to see the new weapon mods that are created or the new Vault Boy outfits, like if I play a female and they have a mod for some blue shorts and tank top with a yellow "111" on the top, I would definitely grab that lol! I think that would look awesome lol.
Anyway, I'll keep you updated on more Witcher progress! Woo hoo!
Ahhhh, Ciri's special attack sounds awesome! And you're right, I bet one of the DLC packs coming out is for an alternate look for her!! They've already done Yen and Triss, and Geralt with the Wolf gear set, so really she's all that's left! I'm positive they will do a new look for her, and ohhh, I can't wait to see it! Although I will say, I love Ciri's look now. Her clothes and hair, all of it, looks perfect for her. But still, the new stuff will be interesting.
(I've posted posts on my own wall so many times too, shhhh don't tell anyone though! LOL!! Luckily I've caught it and deleted them right away though, ha ha!)
You should look into doing some work for Audiable, that sounds like a great suggestion! That would get you more familiar with reading into a mic and getting some coaching and feedback on the job, and then from there, it would look great on a resume. Plus it's all about networking too! From there, you're bound to meet more people in the field, and that's really the biggest benefit of getting on right there, I think. You can start networking, mentioning to people that voice acting in video games, is ultimately where you would like to branch out to. Then you never know, you'll get pointed you in certain directions, or they may know people that they can tell you to contact. Go for it, if for nothing else, to make contacts and network in the field. Working for them doesn't have to be a forever-thing, but more a stepping stone to get your foot in the door.
I didn't get a chance to start grabbing the new Witcher Wolf gear yet, but I'll do that tonight! Where do you start that at? I didn't see anything automatically in my quest log, so I figured you have to do something or go somewhere in particular to activate it? I did go talk to Triss in Novigrad to have her look at a statue, and I loved her look! I really like her hair better this way lol.
Thanks for letting me know there is an auto-save with the 3rd player in the Gwent tourney in Skellige, whew! I would have been worried otherwise. I'm about to go now (Gwent: Big City Players quest) to win a card from a member of the Scoia'tael band, but I think that after that, I need to go to Skellige for the rest! Most of the cards I won last night (I got 5 of them) were all for other decks outside of the Northern Realms deck though lol.
