Ah cool, I kinda got quite a bit of money and decided to blow a quarter of it on games.
You should try and get skate 2 (DE) as at the moment, I can't be bothered with the online as i've already done it once haha.

The way I work my guides is to write it while playing through. Normally most games I can finish within a week of buying as developers seem to be making games shorter. Normally I will also start a guide in the guide forum and build on it while I'm playing through so it's almost finish when I put it out on the site.

Some people manage to get a hold of games early through various methods, some download illegally, others get their games early from retailers or from debug copies of the game. I have seen a lot of of guides that are half finished being stuck lately, as long as the guides get finished I don't really mind, though there are several guides out there people started and never finished.

Sometimes with some games you can find out all the information you need to write a guide within just playing it for an hour, it just depends really. If I ever put out a guide though you will be sure that it will be finished and not left behind.

I had that issue with my Playstation especially! On games such as the Spyro the Dragon series, Syphon Filter series and the Resident Evil series...the music would cut out and completely go off for a majority of the game, then crackle back in sounding disorted like it was a TV with bad antenna reception.

I've owned at least 4 N64s in my life, all have worked magnificently except for some issues reading games (you turn it on and instead you get a weird oldtime "sliding" picture, like in the 50's). From what I know, they go for about 30-40 bucks (the Gamecube is almost always 30) as for the games, I've seen Glover there for 10-20 dollars at our local retailer that handles older console games. I am so picking one up when I get the money, AND I'll try to get an older TV, I prefer playing earlier generations on a old TV =P

Awesome Glover sig, just noticed it and I miss playing that game so much. I need to go pick up another N64 so I can have a run =D
