Introduction:
Doritos Crash Course is a fast-paced, funny, obstacle course game show for your Avatar to compete against your friends and family over Xbox Live. Play through 15 exciting platformer levels across 3 different countries. Compete against your friends and family up to four players over Xbox Live and local split-screen.

Difficulty and Time:
You can get the first 150http://tinyurl.com/gicon within 1-2 hours depending on your skill (American Hero, I'm Big in Japan, Euro Star, Tarzan, Frequent Flyer, Hopscotch, That's Gotta Hurt, Roadrunner, Competitive Spirit and Social Climber). The last two Achievements for 50http://tinyurl.com/gicon will take you anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on your skill (Going for Gold and Sore wa kantan desu).

Playthrough Strategy:
It would be wise to have 2 playthroughs of single-player. The first playthrough attempt to finish each level from the 3 Countries (American Hero, I'm Big in Japan and Euro Star) with a Gold Medal (Going for Gold). Second playthrough obtain all the in-level Achievements (Tarzan, Frequent Flyer, Hopscotch, That's Gotta Hurt, Roadrunner and Sore wa kantan desu).

Unobtainable Achievements:
Since the lastest update, both Sore wa kantan desu and Going for Gold are unobtainable. The only way to unlock them is to clear your systems cache, reject the latest download and attempt the Achievements offline.

Obviously a WIP but I can't wait to see the roadmap. :)

slmmzy 12-08-2010 03:27 PM

Is three hammers in a row glitched or am I doing it wrong?

Zebrasqual 12-08-2010 03:30 PM

u should really play the entire game before starting achievement guide.

TRICKY1976 12-08-2010 03:34 PM

Its not even an achievement guide!!!!! its the achievement list with a roadmap!!!!
FFS!! if you gonna dash on here to do a roadmap & guide at least do it properly!!
hopefully someone will do a better job! i came on for some cheevo help this didnt give it me!!

BearsAirz 12-08-2010 03:36 PM

I agree with the fact that you should complete a game before writing the guide. There is no point in doing something if you are not even gonna do it correctly. I also like how you miss spelled achievement in the thread title.

You should take your own advice then, it was a rule to only make a roadmap/guide IF you have either most or all of the achievements, it wasnt for "advice" it was a fact and rule you had to abide to if you made a guide, they also said that if you submitted a guide, that they would check your card to see if you got the majority of the achievements, so go back and read the rules

Finished every level in Xbox LIVE

Simply finish all 15 races over Xbox Live.

For this achievement, do you just have to be signed into Xbox Live to get it or complete all the levels online against someone? A little clarity would be helpful.

GDMFS0AB 12-08-2010 03:53 PM

He doesn't know. Because he has used mearly logic to make this guide and a little practice.

Guides are just not the same these days! I say get dedicated guide makers.

Hammers, I believe, is referring to the things that come stomping down on you cause I got the achievement when I got crushed by one and was on a conveyor belt, so after I fell down and was riding along the belt, 2 more things came down on me and I got the achievement. Everyone is probably gonna get confused and think hammers are those things that swing back and forth, knocking you into the screen, which is what I thought at first.

Luckily i only stop by here now and again.

Those seem like pretty proper rules if you ask me.
Btw this is the last time I reply to your trollish nature, actually on topic does anyone know how many levels this game has?

No prob. Glad my first post on this board was helpful.

I'm much for playing games online, so this question might sound stupid, but for the "Beat a friend in an Xbox Live race" achievement, I'm assuming "friend" means I have to play against someone on my friends list? Cause I beat someone on Live, just playing a random person, and it didn't unlock.

TealPavelski 12-08-2010 04:15 PM

Wow, what is with all the haters in this Guide? I was just trying to be helpful. I have most of the Achievements and the only ones I don't have are self explanatory...

DubNut86 12-08-2010 04:18 PM

Great job on the guide =)

I havent played the game yet but i think it means that you have to play with someone on your friendlist like you said. But try to join a random persons game and when the match end, ask him or her if they want to trade the achievement and if you can add them to your friendlist. Often people are nice when you ask nicely and maybe they even need the achievement aswell :).

That is why it says "Friend". Tell one of your friends to download the game, easy as that!

Good idea. Didn't even think to do that. Thanks.

That's what I figured, but since its a free game, you never know when there might be a glitched achievement.

Even the 'self explanatory' achievements you need to elaborate on.

You need to be crystal clear as to how you unlock them.

You should specify that the Competitive Spirit achievement has to be with someone on your friends list.

If someone cannot figure out you have to beat a friend to unlock the Achievement, then they are a complete idiot. If you didn't have to beat a friend it would simply say in the description "Win an Xbox Live Race"...however. I added in the guide "beat a friend from your friends list".

Well you sound like a fun person... seriously though have you ever read another achievement guide?

Some achievements are very poorly worded, just because it says beat a friend doesn't necessarily mean they have to be on your friends list.

This guide is pretty damn poor, you need information.

And calling people idiots is just not the way to go to be respected round here -_-

master_shake_350 12-08-2010 05:27 PM

Thanks for this I am so stumped on how to get any of them yet though!

I truly suck at this game.

EDIT: Finally got some GS in this dam game!

wolvieware 12-08-2010 05:35 PM

Good guide. With the trampoline jumps though, does it have to be only one jump on each, back and forth without stopping, or can you do multiple jumps on one trampoline to get height and accuracy, before going back to the previous?

One jump on each, back and forth for a combined 12.
