Blarghinator 06-08-2011 06:06 AM

yea almost as good as the "everybody loves doughnuts" song from 'splosion man... btw if anyone wants the lyrics i got it right here:

OH!
googly eyes you make stuff come alive
so dont cry those tear drops
alone or in pairs
you belong everywhere
so cheer up and smile, smile, smile

oh googly eyes dont look so suprised
i will put you on stuff
put on a small rock
now the small rock can talk
what does it say, say, say

put you on a tree stump
now the tree stump can jump
over the rooftops

i put you on a balloon
you flew all over the room
do you hear it sing, sing, sing

put you on a warm bun
now that warm bun can run
we will never catch up

i put you on some old pants
now those old pants can dance
you can see them jump, jump

[x3]
jump, jump, jump

[x4]
you got googly eyes

i put you on a hole in the ground
now that hole rolls around and
thats a little spooky

i put you back in the drawer
all the things move no more
everything sleeping now

OH!
googly eyes you make stuff come alive
so dont cry those tear drops
alone or in pairs
you belong everywhere
so cheer up and

[x3]
smile, smile, smile

[x4]
you got googly eyes

oh yea yea yea yea yea yea ya

Freakin' love the song! During the conference when I heard it for a minute, I instantly wanted them to stop and let me hear the rest.

Davey Zoo 06-13-2011 11:30 AM

Amazing song. One of the best I have ever heard in any game.

Vandelheart81 06-13-2011 11:40 AM

Might be dating myself here, but the singer of this song is the old lead singer from The Presidents of the United States. The folks that did the song about Peaches and dune buggies and ...talking to a stripper in a coin booth...:woop:

ConstantC4RN4GE 06-15-2011 07:37 AM

Took me the longest out of the Fun Lab games. So I got sick of the song rather quickly.

Is it definitely him then? The first thing I thought when I heard the song was that it sounded VERY Presidents-y!

And yeah, the song is the best part of the game IMO. :D

sleepydumbdude 06-16-2011 04:28 PM

Got stuck in my head. It got super annoying listening to it for over an hour while i did the 25 scan achievement.

[hide][edit] History

Ballew's first brush with children's music came in 2002 when he recorded and donated an album of traditional children's songs to the nonprofit Program for Early Parent Support titled "PEPS Sing A Long!" Having a son and daughter himself, he enjoyed making the record but didn't think about it again until 2008 when he discussed working on a children's book with his wife, collage artist Kate Endle.[1] Ballew began digging up nursery rhymes and folk songs in the public domain, songs that have been reinterpreted and passed down through generations.[2] This, in addition to a number of original songs, formed his first full-length release, "Here I Am!"
The album was a hit locally, and Ballew began to perform in the Seattle area. A longtime friend, Fred Northup, heard the album while working on a project with Ballew, and Northup offered to play as his live percussionist. Northup, a Seattle-based comedy improvisor, suggested his frequent collaborator Ron Hippe as a keyboard player, and Ballew subsequently auditioned Hippe. Christening the two "Frederick Babyshirt" and "Ronald Babyshoes", they officially became the Caspar Babypants live band in 2009. Although Ballew is the primary creative force behind Caspar Babypants, Northup and Hippe frequently appear on his newer recordings and play at a majority of the live performances.

Revival of a really old thread? Check.
Answering the OP without reading the rest of the thread? Check.
Writing something that is really badly worded and uses no punctuation? Check.

All the great qualities of a 5 post spammer. ;)

...and he still has only 5 posts.

OT, playing through this now, and even the instrumental of the song is good. If I had a shred of decency or coolness in me, it is now gone from singing along with this.
