Who did you Marry in Skyrim?

I'm still deciding on who I want to marry in this game. Kinda having a hard time picking on who, I guess there are some better than others yes?

GENWAKU 11-21-2011 03:23 AM

My female Khajit married Jenessa (?) the dark Elf in Whirerun. SITCOM COUPLE. She's a strong fighterand she gives me almost 1000 gold every time I come home to visit her.

I don't know if any of the others do this, but she's awesome to me either way. I'm a sucker for Dunmer.

Plus her voice is sexy~ :p

Panznerr 11-21-2011 03:28 AM

I married Aela from the Companions. She gets kinda wild on a full moon though :)

D412k Kn16h7 11-21-2011 03:38 AM

Gilfre from Mixwater Mill. Didn't see anyone else I'd rather marry

TombRaiser 11-21-2011 03:38 AM

My female Wood Elf married Vorstag, a male Nord Warrior from Markarth. We moved into my house in Whiterun. I'm glad I picked him, he's good looking and sweet. (But, I'm sure all the married partners have the same dialogue). Sometimes he accompanies me in my dungeon diving adventures. Although, every time I have him as a follower, I'm worried that he might die. I don't want him to die! That's why whenever we go out, I make sure he's got the best armor and weapons that I can forge and improve!

Same here, we go hunting together. I also took her out for a swim in the northern ocean area and it's pretty darn icey out there!

DEG23 11-21-2011 04:29 AM

I was planning on marrying Aela but i'm still trying to track down all potenital matches, at least my copy of Nord Chicks Monthly keeps me company on those lonely winter nights:p

IDiivil 11-21-2011 04:50 AM

I had my character marry Farkas.

Deyankees1 11-21-2011 04:58 AM

I married Ysolda in whiterun. She liked what she saw couldn't deny her all this junk in my trunk.

ghost2112 11-21-2011 05:04 AM

I have not yet married, but if I decide to go the non-merchant route, then Aela it's going to be. She's a f*cking awesome partner to go questing with!

Armored Puma 11-21-2011 05:33 AM

I fucked up, I married the woman trader from river wood just because se was the first I talked to with the option to marry her, wish I woulda known you can't remarry in skyrim.

Lord of Fate 11-21-2011 06:23 AM

Ashame i cured my Werewolf status. Talk about wild on a full moon with 2 wolves going at it :woop: But all kidding aside glad i picked Aela as a wife and follower.

exo-apollo 11-21-2011 07:00 AM

The never ending road. Also Ysolda.

Me too lol, funny thing is with me...she's a werewolf and I'm playing as a vampire. Kind of ironic considering werewolves and vampires being a bad combination, because redheads have always been my bad omen in real life. :p

redlight racer 11-21-2011 09:54 AM

At first I married Ysolda, but I restarted from an old save after I found out I couldn't drag her with me places. I then finished up the quest line just so I could marry Aela.

I don't really let her fight (I'm an archer, I don't need help), but she is great at carrying my crap. haha

Inebriated Jedi 11-21-2011 11:12 AM

Farkas. He's all kinds of badass.

xKRAIZEEMANx 11-21-2011 11:13 AM

I married Jenassa, as I am a Dark Elf assassin, and figured she would be a good match. She sits in our big mansion in Solitude cooking and using my enchanting table. Also, she has a decent shop.

mchunthunt 11-21-2011 11:39 AM

i'm thinking about aela, but that seems kind of cliche. i need to research it a little bit more to see who would benefit me the most tho

Panda 11-21-2011 12:00 PM

Mjoll the Lioness from Riften. nomnom.

Darkskilling 11-21-2011 01:40 PM

I picked aela too :D was very helpful for a while, I could train archery and take back my money all the way up to lvl 75 :D and the 100 gold/day was definitely useful, I probably got ~20K gold just from her that way haha

Paka 11-21-2011 03:03 PM

This is a tough one as a straight female character. There aren't too many human options that don't look like Packers offensive linemen. :p I wish there were more elven options.

Anyways, as I'm playing an Imperial and he isn't too bad and I prefer a bit older anyways, I married Marcurio for the achievement, but then reloaded since I wanted to wait til I got the Solitude house. He is very easy to marry if nothing else, and conveniently in Riften already. Not bad looking, and like the idea of a mage.

I married him as well....and then immediately sacrificed him to Boethiah to gain her favor.

Easy come, easy go, right?

yummymummy 11-21-2011 04:06 PM

i tried marrying him but there seems to be a glitch because when I go to the temple they either tell me to go away or they dont even know the wedding is on even though its passed dawn,.

please help me I want to marry.

THUGGEDOUT 11-21-2011 05:47 PM

I married Camilla from Riverwood, Ysolda was my first choice but I was late for the wedding...

JONBLEACH 11-21-2011 06:37 PM

I tried marrying the lady in Riverwood trader house twice.
I went to the temple of mara and the guy said the ceremony wud be in the morning so i used the wait feature and then when it was done it said i missed the ceremony and it failed my marriage. This has happened to me twice so far.

What is the advice to actually succeed and get this achievement?

IDiivil 11-21-2011 06:42 PM

For all inquiries, maybe this'll help you guys:

KriugerisLT 11-21-2011 06:47 PM

Aela the Huntress. She's immortal, and she's an archer just like me. Crafted some Legendary Dragonscale and a Daedric Bow for her and she's awesome in a fight. I just don't like to bring her with me much, because sneaking and dealing high damage critical hits is almost impossible with companions arround...
