Q. If I get a gold medal in all of the arcade races does that unlock the silver and bronze?

A. Yes.

Are there any guidelines to earning money online? IOW, does anybody know how much money, if any, is earned for 2nd, 3rd, and so on? I've raced several races and came in 2nd and didn't get anything. But people have told me that you DO get money for placing in top 3 or 4.

You get money depending on your place, how many people were at the start, the track, and the number of laps. You get no money for last place or not finishing.

SPYAGE 05-08-2008 02:34 PM

so if I come in 2nd, but I don't finish within the 30 second or 1 min countdown at the end then I won't get anything? I guess that makes sense. Thanks.

What cars are the best to use for the Regional Championships and for Professional class races if they differ from whats good in the Regionals. If anyone could answer this would be GREAT because no matter which car i use It's never the fastest in the bunch.

Will all cars unlock after i finish career mode?

will i am not 09-17-2008 02:51 AM

For the 1 million credit achievement, can I spend the credits as I earn them? Or do I need to keep the 1 million credits till the achievement unlocks?

CovertDog 09-17-2008 10:30 AM

You can spend them. In your garage there is a thing in your stats that says how many credits you have earned on line. When that hits 1 million you get the achievement.

T Man 360 Fan 10-05-2008 03:49 AM

if i do every race in career mode on the easiest level will i earn enough money to buy all the cars?

Shinchib 10-06-2008 08:04 PM

You will probably have to repeat a few of the races over again.

T Man 360 Fan 10-07-2008 08:15 PM

ok thanks for the help

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I thought it was better here, rather then opening a new thread just for this question.

I'm going through Career Mode, and need to do the Flyweight Invitational event. I was told I need to use the 1998 Nissan R390 to compete in this. I've finally managed to get to Level 15, to win the 1998 Nissan R390, but it still won't let me enter the Flyweight Invitational event due to the car being over the weight limit. I've heard that you need to tune the car so it's under the limit, but being a n00b I'm not sure how I am supposed to do this. Any help or advice would be welcome on this.

Thanks :)

I think I used a Lotus, since those are super lightweight cars. If it is possible to use a 1998 Nissan R390, go buy the weight upgrades. Some of the performance upgrades will also reduce weight but it will only be by a pound or two each.

Thanks for the reply Shinobi273, went and looked in the Lotus garage and managed to pick up a Lotus Elise 135R which is only 737kg (I think). Not sure if I unlocked it since I last looked in the garage section, but I can finally finish the Proving Grounds section.

Thanks so much for the help :woop:

I completed carreer mode and still have to buy every car in Japan, USA and a part of Germany. Now I wanted to know what is the best way to win the last endurance race with a driver. Just to earn as much money as possible. What should I enable/disable in the options? What difficulty and of course what driver. Thanks!

How long ago did you purchase the cars from the auction? It usually takes some time for the cars you purchase to go in your garage. You'll notice the cars you purchase from an auction when you see it.

Make sure you choose the option to "receive" them

CanuckLefty 04-13-2009 01:21 AM

I'm starting this game from scratch, after getting through a considerable amount of it on my former roommate's HDD. At what point does the option to 'hire a driver' reopen?

You have to be level 20, the same level you unlock the endurance races.

CanuckLefty 04-14-2009 03:26 PM

Thanks!

Similarly, it appears that I'll unlock cars specific to my home region once I reach car/driver level X. Is this true? If so, is there a guideline to when I should switch regions? My plan was basically to complete every single race in the game, staying from North America, but is there a more efficient way? Suggestions?

AMikeA 04-14-2009 04:08 PM

Am I unable to get the Saleen S281 E? I know its on the LE but can I get it from the auction house or gifted from someone? I just want that car....

CanuckLefty 04-14-2009 07:32 PM

I kind of found an answer to my question, but not entirely. A Toyota I was looking at requires 'Level 50 in Asia' to unlock. If I switch regions, I start from level 1, correct?

Wrong, you retain your level when switching regions. Your region discount and ability to buy region specific cars is all that changes, well those and your credit balance :P (the cost to change region increases each time you do it)

So once I've purchased every single car from the United States, and I switch over to Asia, the 'level 50' Toyota will automatically unlock?

By the way, "A toyotas a toyota" is a palindrome.

CanuckLefty 04-15-2009 03:33 PM

Double follow-up: Once a car is unlocked, will it remain unlocked if I don't purchase it, but switch regions?

I lose my region discount? Bunk. I'm currently enjoying a 40% discount on N.American cars.

AMikeA 04-16-2009 01:26 PM

My guess is that you dont get to keep your region discount but Im sure you keep the car unlocked once you switch.
