I think my wife is glitched :/

I just recently did a sidequest where my wife got kidnapped (yeah how the hell do you even kidnap Aela?!?!) and now she keeps walking funny...most times she walks backwards everywhere

is there a way to fix this or is it normal? lol

that is strange, didn't even know that side quest existed.

try clearing your chache and re-updating your game. :)

its part of the hearthfire dlc if you have her moved into a home you built :p...was a mild inconvinience lol

and to fix it i had to reload an older save which because i forget to save was about 4 hours before i went home lol

Would asking her to follow you then giving her commands not fix this?

Looked for some solutions on various forums and the main thing people suggest is save before the quest and do it quickly, the quicker you do it the less chance of the glitch occurring... Apparently!

I had the same problem, except mine doesn't walk backwards she is permanently downed and just hovers above the floor. Any fixes for this yet?

so far never kidnapped, hope it never happen... i got a magician steward, a warrior housecarl, a dog and a bard to watch over her... should be enought really...

Consider yourself lucky. My wife thanks me for killing her ex-husband every time I walk past her.

Didn't know there was such a quest that did that. I shouted my wife whenever she starts acting strange, works for me.

I've got a problem but with Serana, I was halfway through the Dawnguard expansion when Hearthfire came out and concentrated on that. Now I don't know where I left her, she's not back at the castle or any previous locations I've been too, can I still complete the quest chain? :(
