Replaying for Golds - weird animal sign glitch
Before another Cabela game sends me to an early grave - has anyone come across this?
I've completed all 12 levels and replaying chapters for Gold. First up is the Columbian Blacktail hunt on Level 2. There are 3 animal signs, one before the blue marker, one just to the right up a hill and one before you turn the corner. I collect all 3. I collect all the covers and take the shot from the 50% cover.
Every single time I try the game only registers 1 of the Animal Signs - always leaving me short of the Gold score of 900.
I've played the level from the beginning and from the fox hunt, and simply restarting after failing it. It's always the same, I collect 3 signs - 1 registered.
It also seems to over-count the Cover Bonus too (ie I collect 3 but it scores 6!!) - not that it helps my score in anyway as you need to max everything for Gold.
So I copied the save to memory stick and started again on a new save.
My first, brand new attempt at this hunt gave me silver so I thought I'll have another go - restarted the hunt - and it's fucked me over exactly the same way - only registering 1 of the 3 Signs despite having definitely collected them again.
PS. Is Cabela american slang for c*nt? Because it should be....
Just in case anyone else gets stuck, the only way I found around is to make sure you make the Challenge Bonus for 200 point (one shot heart kill). If you're lucky enough to get a chance to take the shot that is...
I have the same problem. The reason why it's glitched seems to be:
You collect 1, 2 or all 3 animal signs and play the minigame that is placed after the first 2 animal signs. After that the game saves the animal signs but you don't get the bonus points for finding them. And you can't discover them again because the game already saved that you got them.
Trying to aim for the heart for 30 mintues now. It's very hard. Would be easier with the 100 points for the animal signs!
