  • Every section of each chapter will only contain 1 COG Tag, and 1 Declassified Mission, other than Chapter 7: Aftermath which contains no Declassified Missions.
  • Make sure to complete the requirements of the declassified mission for them to count.
  • To check declassified mission progress, from the main menu select "Stats & Awards". On the first tab, select "Campaign". Use :rbbut: to scroll to Pages 41-46 where you can see what difficulty you've completed each declassified mission on.

Looks really good so far, was going to do something like this myself but its difficult on my phone.

It might be a good idea to put what each declassified missons is but under one of the spoiler click things. That way people can see what they are if they want to.

[] - Elliott’s Mansion COG Tag
Once you arrive, the mansion is attacked. Head to the main mansion area and you will see a large burning flag. On the highest level, to the left of the flag you can find the COG Tag.

This is actually quite missable. After you get done defeating all of the enemies, the chapter ends. You have to get this while fighting.

I missed it : /

Thanks, I've updated the description a little bit.

It's more descriptive and mentions to grab it before killing all the enemies. As far as I remember, the enemies come in waves though, and you can get it in between the waves?

Yeah, you actually have a minute and a half or so before you have to start the waves, that would be the best time to do it.

Hey Maka, great guise dude. Just one problem, where you've listed Guest Bungalows and then "never give up" my total shows 19/20 cleared meaning the last one of this chapter is number 20, is this correct?

EDIT: Nevermind. I had 3 stars on the mission where the bomb counts down and you have the beserkers after you. The timer hit zero BUT I didn't get mission fail and I was nowhere near the end of the section

Chapter 1: 8
Chapter 2: 6
= 14

So for 20, we'd need 6 in Chapter 3.

The 6th section is guest bungalows, which means you must have missed on of them.

Formatting Suggestion

*Add Section names above instead if with collectibles.
*Possibly remove the Missions. I have to always sift through skipping them since they are so obvious. That or change the color so that the Tags are red and the easier ones to skim through.
*You can add pictures later when I am done getting them all.

Just thinking that might make it easier to read. Up to you!

WHITESTAR 2032 03-21-2013 04:54 AM

I know the guide is still under construction and all. But good work thus far. I thelped out a lot.

Maestro25 03-21-2013 06:56 AM

Very helpful! I had two Declassified missions and I couldn't remember which ones. Good thing it's hidden deep in the Campaign stats!

Tyger7 03-22-2013 06:30 AM

I have all the pictures, but somehow missing one. No good! I labeled them Tag1, Tag2, etc. So I have to look through all my pictures and figure it out.

After using the truck to create a bridge and exiting the police station, you will be attacked by snipers. After making it two the 2nd sniper ambush, you push your way up the street, by using a house to the left. Then you will want to cross the street into another building, and you will see a sewer on your left as you cross. When you enter the second building, you will see the Gears of War logo on the far wall. Go down the stairs, and into the basement to find the COG Tag.

This could use some editing. There is a very big gap between the truck and the COG tag. I would focus more on talking about when going to the hotel and there are One Shot Snipers aiming at you. I missed the part in your paragraph about the police station, so i focused on running around there looking for it.

Just played through the campaign with a friend, he was host. He got the quality soldiering achievement, for completed all declassifield, I ended on 41/42. We both played through the game together, no lag outs etc... I can't see anywhere on the game or online to see which one I could have missed? Any ideas?

I think I will get this game. After Serioulsy 3.0, what else can they do?

Very helpful! I had two Declassified missions and I couldn't remember which ones. Good thing it's hidden deep in the Campaign stats!

Could you tell us where? I don't actually know and I imagine it would be helpful for people like this fellow below you.

Try checking the leaderboards? I think it says difficulty/stars obtained.

Up to you!

I don't think section names are necessary, as each section only contains 1 of each, so I just put the name of the section in the name of the location. I think it works for something like this.

I'll more than likely be leaving the missions, as even though like 90% of them are near the start, some people are missing them as they progress, and may want to use this thread as a quick reference when seeing what levels they may have missed along the way. Changing the colours seems like it might work though, so I'll play around with that tomorrow.

I have all the pictures, but somehow missing one. No good! I labeled them Tag1, Tag2, etc. So I have to look through all my pictures and figure it out.

[1:33] - One Step Closer COG Tag

Alright. Feel free to add them yourself, or email them to:

If you snap a picture that goes in between tag4 and tag5, just name it tag4.5, zip the folder, and I can figure it out.

And then I'll take a look into the location above tomorrow as well.

It tells you how to check them in the notes in the first post.

It's not a glitch, you might have just failed one of the objectives. Chances are that you meleed during a weapon challenge or picked up a different weapon, so it didn't count.

[2:14] - Straight to the Top COG Tag
After dealing with the Snipers, you'll find a large hole in the ground inside the building. Drop down the into the hole, head straight into the office room, and then mount through the windows on the right hand side. After going through the windows, turn left to find the COG Tag.
This one is also very missable as I missed it twice. You're definitely not forced to go down into the hole as you state in the video. You can open the door on the floor above the hole and completely miss the tag below.
