I loved the first Bully. It and Red Dead Redemption have solved what has become my biggest complaint about the GTA francise. The last GTA game I enjoyed (and bothered finishing) was Vice City.

To me Rockstar tries to put way to much into the GTA games and they end up becoming convoluted. I find myself digressing from the main storyline to do all the side crap and then never find my way back to the storyline because it wasn't gripping enough in the first place. As a result I just get sick of the game and stop playing it.

Bully and Red Dead, in my opinion, found that perfect medium between just enough but not to much stuff to do beyond the storyline. Red Dead also had a fantastic storyline, strong enough to drag you back when you diverge to do the side stuff. All this is why Red Dead is easily one of my top 3 games of the year and the first Bully (which I played on ps2) was awesome. Hopefully, they don't put to much into Bully 2.
