Centipede is the first Gameroom title that was released on the WP7. It shares scores and time played with the Xbox 360 version of the Gameroom. If you already have all gold medals on the Xbox 360 version of Centipede, the achievements unlock immediately on the WP7.
The first thing you should do is to try which control system fits you most. You can choose between touch and tilt. After your first game with tilt, you'll unlock Shaking Things Up. Watch the credits in the menu (Help -> Options -> Credits) to unlock Credit Where Credit Is Due. After that play the game to unlock all three gold medals. You'll also get three achievements for playing the game while travelling for 6 miles / 10 km (and over 35 mph / 55 km/h). Please do this on a train or the passenger seat and don't risk your live or others.
Centipede offers a list of creative and enjoyable achievements. I enjoyed getting the 200 and can't wait for the other Gameroom releases.
Across The Board - 20
Win a medal of each type
To get this achievement you have to win a Point Buster, Survivalist and Time Spender medal. It doesn't matter if it's bronze, silver or gold.
This achievement unlocks right away if you've already won a medal of every type on the Xbox 360 version in Centipede of the Gameroom.
Exterminator - 30
Defeat 10 spiders, fleas or scorpions in a single Ranked game
Easiest done on the second level, because the pink worm is slower than the green worm from the first level. Shoot the spider as soon as she jumps into the field and let yourself die if the worm reaches the ground. Fleas are the things that move from the top to the bottom on the screen and drop mushrooms on the field. Sometimes a scorpion will move from one side of the field to another.
Get The Ball Rolling - 10
Win your first medal
Win either a Point Buster, a Survivalist or Time Spender medal.
This achievement unlocks right away if you've already won a medal of any type on the Xbox 360 version in Centipede of the Gameroom.
Gold Rush - 30
Win 3 gold medals
You need to achieve the required score (25.000 points), survival time (4 minutes) and overall time (one hour playtime) to unlock all three gold medals. After every game you'll see the results and requirements for the next medal.
This achievement unlocks right away if you've already won all three gold medals in Centipede on the Xbox 360 version of the Gameroom.
Keep It Moving - 10
Travel 2/3 mile (1 km) while playing a single play session of the game
See Retro Roadie.
Retro Roadie - 30
Travel an accumulated distance of 6 miles (10 km) while playing the game
Play that game while being on a train or the passenger seat of a car and travel a distance of 6 miles / 10 km. It can be done over several rounds. You don't have to stay alive for 6 miles / 10 km.
Velocity Gamer - 20
Travel at over 35 mph (55 km/h) while playing a game
Get on a train or the passenger seat of a car and it will unlock after reaching the speed of 35 mph / 55 km/h.
Shaking Things Up - 20
Played using tilt controls
From the main menu go to Help -> Options and change the control from touch to tilt. After completing a game with the tilt control this achievement will be yours.
Credit Where Credit Is Due - 20
Watched the credits in full
All you have to do is watch the credits. From the main menu go to Help -> Options -> Credits. You can use your finger to speed things up and it'll unlock fine (thanks to montrossity
for pointing that out).
Try Try Again - 10
Surpassed your own leaderboard score 3 times
This achievements requires you to beat your own highscore of the WP7 version three times. It will most likely unlock after your third played game. You don't have to beat your Xbox 360 record (thanks to Ooyah
for pointing that out). The WP7 version has it's own leaderboard and shares the public one.
