Introduction:

Welcome to Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage! There are 12 achievements with a total of 400 points. These three games were very successful in the 90’s and have a huge following around the world. Three soundtrack CDs were released in all by Yuzo Koshiro and have been critically acclaimed, each of which now sell for high prices at auction and in Japanese markets. The Streets of Rage series is a huge financial success for Sega, who has developed and released all three games. The entire series has been re-released on various system platforms, handheld consoles, and mobile devices. They were all previously released on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection as well as Streets of Rage 2 being released to Xbox Live.

Playthrough:

Playing online will disallow you from receiving any of the achievements. Play offline solo if you wish to unlock anything. Difficulty will not affect any of the achievements in any way.

These games are horizontal and vertical sidescrollers that are pretty straight forward and will not cause you any real hardships. The achievements are very straight forward and all are easy to obtain. If you want to make the game's difficulty extremely easy, select the Japanese versions (Bare Knuckle titles), set it to Easy and change the number of lives to 5. The Japanese versions are much less difficult then the English releases, due to original porting reasons. For example, in Streets of Rage 3 (Bare Knuckle III), the English version’s Normal difficulty is harder than the Japanese version’s Hard difficulty.

You can start with any of the 3 games you wish, as you do not need to play them in any order. Certain Stages need to be reached with certain characters to unlock particular achievements. Just select the character you need to use and reach the stage that is required. Making saves often should help you out if you are prone to dying, although each game is pretty easy and shouldn’t cause you any real hassle. Please see Exu's speed run method at the bottom of the guide if you wish to unlock everything very quickly.

Streets of Rage (Bare Knuckle: Furious Iron Fist)

Declawer (Part I) (20 points)
Defeated the clawed Souther in Round 2 single-handedly with Adam in Streets of Rage.

Once you beat the Souther at the end of Stage 2 with Adam, the achievement will unlock.

Beautiful, Yet Deadly (30 points)
Defeated Round 5's Mona & Lisa single-handedly with Blaze in Streets of Rage.

Straight forward, make it to Round 5 and defeat Mona and Lisa with Blaze.

Cat-like Reflexes (20 points)
Performed a recovery after being thrown in Streets of Rage.

Let an enemy come up and grab you (enemies with colored leather jackets). When being thrown by the enemy, press up on the D-Pad and jump at the same time to land on your feet.

Eyes in the Back of Your Head (20 points)
Throw an enemy in Streets of Rage.

For this achievement, you also need to let an enemy grab you from behind. Once they have you grabbed, press the D-Pad in desired direction and the attack button at the same time to throw the enemy.

A very easy way to unlock this achievement is to start up a two player co-op game. Right as the game starts, stand there and have player two walk up behind you and grab you (looks like a warm hug from behind). Once they have you grabbed, press the D-Pad in the desired direction and the attack button at the same time to throw the enemy.

Streets of Rage 2 (Bare Knuckle II: The Requiem of the Deadly Battle)

Heavy-weight Champion (30 points)
Defeated Abadede in Stage 4 single-handedly with Max in Streets of Rage 2.

This achievement is self explanatory; just beat Abadede found at Stage 4 with Max.

Declawer (Part II) (20 points)
Defeated the clawed Zamza in Stage 3 single-handedly with Skate in Streets of Rage 2.

Another very easy achievement, simply beat Zamza found in Stage 3 with Skate.
