Earth Defense Force 4 - Achievement Guide

Overview:

Roadmap:

Step 1: Missions

You have three options to complete all stages. You can clear all difficulties in SP, Split-Screen or Online. In SP mode you will notice that some stages are designed for Online or at least Split-Screen mode, so you have to grind much armor to survive on Inferno some minutes.

The best thing you can do is complete all stages in Split-Screen, since the progress will be saved for both classes you and your friend play. That means you save 8 playthroughs in total. Make sure to combine Air Raider or Fencer with Ranger or Wing Diver. Otherwise you will have problems, because the Air Raider only supports other classes and the fencer is too slow for some enemies.

Step 2: Weapons

After clearing all difficulties with all classes, you will certainly miss some weapons you need to collect. The drops are luck based and it may takes hours of grinding.

Step 3: Mop up

You should have all achievements at this moment, because of all difficulties and weapon grinding. If not, it's time to get the remain kill, medic and revive achievements. If you don't know how to get the medic achievement, you can look in the guide below.

Introducing Classes:

the best team for coop is Ranger and Wing Diver, although the ranger seems to not do the damage that is shown, where as the wing diver does the exact damage which is listed.
i.e. the "Monster-S" energy sniper for the wing diver does 6000 damage, so on inferno 4 shots to take out a dropship while the Rangers "Lyzander - Z" shows 5500 damage, but needs more shots. Maybe the rangers damage is affected from distance and probably the enemie type.

Air Raider does not have good rifles for close combat, but does have heal, power up, defense up stations, supports with transport vehicles and mechs, plus airstrike support.

The Fencer is more of a tank, he will get the most armor out of all 4 classes, providing high HP while also able to defend with all kind of guns.
