NJAM14Titleist
Gaming is a sport in it's own right, you can't compare sports and gaming because they are to completely different games I think it is too hard to compare gaming and sports. Guitarr Steve
I believe gaming is a sport in some sort, 1. I work 40 hours a week and play with my 4 yr old daughter at the park. 2. Played Football, Baseball, ran Track, and competed in weight lifiting competition in High School and played Football in college. (Went to playoffs twice in Football, went to State and placed 5th in 4 by 1 track, went to State twice in weight lifting placing 4th both times.) 3. Not a noob. Mw2 K/D 2.05, Black Ops K/D 2.22 with 71% winning avg. Placed 5th in CoD XP Prequalifier #10. So what do you have to say to that? Seriously? If you say I suck at Football think again, I was 2nd Team All Bay Area running back, in one game I scored 6 TDs with over 300 rushing yards. Just because you play sports and are good at both sports and gaming doesn't mean gaming is a sport. I'd really like to know where you got that idea from. PRODiiGY1994
Gaming is not really a sport rather than a hobby Exactly how I see. I consider it a hobby or a passion. Sports to me involves physicality.
KFZ Scrubs
Cool, then we can call it competitive hobby with money involved for the top 3 winners of a tournament. All I know is that it's more physically demanding than Poker and the spelling bee

At least you have to stand up every now and then in a spelling bee.
TpYourHouse
I'd say the spelling bee is more physically demanding. At least you have to stand up every now and then in a spelling bee. But when gaming what about the occasional trip to the kitchen to grab some Cheetos and a Coke? How about having to go to the bathroom, its such a chore to have to flush that toilet and THEN you've gotta wash your hands before you can enjoy those Cheetos! Not to mention the constant adjustment of volume on the TV when it randomly decides to get louder or quieter...... Ahem... I prefer to just call it gaming... snipingheadshot
Racing is a sport, so that pretty much affirms that fact that gaming should be a sport.
Riphade 1
No. And people who play gaming events and get paid for "being good" (most people camp, or have noob tactics) shouldn't. Im good at masturbating, but I dont expect to make money for it.
