Sourman145
Challenge and Multiplayer Achievement Guide If you are going to farm any challenge or achievement, make sure you reach a checkpoint after getting your desired kills. You can then quit out without finishing the level. Challenges Total Kills: 5000 required This one should accumulate heavily while you get all of the other challenges and achievements. If you really want to farm it, play the Northern Territories level on any difficulty, as enemies seem to infinitely respawn at the end of the level. Spectre Kills: 50 required Spectres are the invisible guys. They aren’t too common, but one level where you will reliably see them is the Atlantic Accelerator (any difficulty). You should be able to kill about 8 per run. Electron Mace Kills: 100 required For this, you have to kill 100 enemies who use the Electron Mace. This is the gun that shoots out an arc of electricity that stuns you in place. The first place you will see these guys is Colorado on normal. They appear in every level after that, but seem to be most common in the Aspari levels (Colorado, China, and Scandinavia) Riotlance Kills: 100 required For this, you have to kill 100 enemies who use the Riotlance. This is the gun that shoots out a burst of electricity that stuns you. This is most commonly used by the Police in the levels China and Scandinavia. Riot Shield Kills: 100 Required Obviously, you need to kill 100 enemies who hold, or were holding riot shields (if you make them drop it, they still count). They only seem to appear in the levels China and Scandinavia. You can easily get 9 per run in the second area of Scandinavia (after the part with the APC, in the container field). ECM Kills: 50 required These are the guys who wear the jammer backpacks that prevent you from using your abilities. They seem to only appear in the last two levels: Argentina and New England. Aspari Kills: 1000 required This is the Syndicate that you fight in the levels Colorado, China, and Scandinavia. If, for some reason, you desperately want these kills, repeatedly play these three levels. Eurocorp Kills: 1000 required This is the Syndicate that you fight in the levels Northern Territories, Argentina, and New England. You can actually farm these guys at the end of the Northern Territories, as they seem to infinitely spawn, but I don’t recommend wasting your time. Cayman Global Kills: 1000 required This is the Syndicate that you fight in the levels Western Europe, Mozambique, and Atlantic Accelerator. Again, just replay these levels if you are really desperate to get these kills. Police Kills: 100 Required You fight Police in the levels China and Scandinavia. They all look like the riot shield guys, wearing bug-eyed goggles and armor. You will easily get 100 without needing to farm. Mercenary Kills: 20 Required (credit to Tylermatic on gamefaqs) It is very likely that you will play through every mission on every difficulty and not see a single mercenary. They appear to be completely random, and have been reported as appearing on Western Europe, Colorado, and Scandinavia on any difficulty. They seem to be more common on Expert difficulty, and playing with 4 players may also increase their chance of spawning. They also only tend to appear when you take a long time to complete the objective/mission. One way I was able to semi-consistently get them to spawn was to play Western Europe, solo on Expert. If you take quite a while before disabling the APC, they sometimes appear immediately after clearing out the area but before hacking the gate. They come via a dropship in the back of the area, where no enemies usually spawn. If you hack the gate and they still haven’t spawned, they’re not going to. After killing the seven of them (six Sergeant class enemies and one Reactive), hack the gate and get the next checkpoint before quitting. Liquid Armor Kills: 50 Required These are the enemies that have one layer of armor that you must breach before killing them. They appear throughout the game, but aren’t as common in the levels Northern Territories, Argentina, or New England (they get replaced by electrics). On Expert, they tend to be replaced by Reactives. The Aspari levels (Colorado, China, and Scandinavia) on Normal or Hard seem to contain the most Liquids. If playing co-op, the player who gets the final hit seems to get the kill (not the chiprip, just the final hit that takes them down). Electric Armor Kills: 50 Required These are the enemies that have two layers of armor that you must breach before killing them. They only appear towards the end of the game (starting on the Northern Territories). In co-op, I’ve noticed that at least two players will always get the kill, so just do as much damage as possible, even if you don’t get the final hit. Reactive Armor Kills: 50 Required These are the enemies that have three layers of armor that you must breach before killing them. They appear throughout the game, but are much more frequent on Expert. Colorado on Expert is a goldmine for Reactive kills, as is Argentina. In co-op, the player who does the most damage tends to get the kill. Make sure you breach the final layer of armor as well if you want the kill. Agent Kills: 20 Required These guys are easily recognized as they are always named “Agent [blank]”. On Normal, they appear in the Atlantic Accelerator, Scandinavia, Argentina, and New England, but on Expert, they appear a bit more frequently. The player who chiprips them or causes them to self-destruct gets the kill. Kills By Fire: 100 Required You can either get these with the Laser Coil or the Thermite gun (Flamethrower). These weapons appear from Colorado and on, and are more frequent on Expert. Gibbed Enemies: 500 Required “Gibbing” is when you dismember or decapitate an enemy. This can be done with the default shotgun, sniper, hand grenade, six-shooter (not the ten-shooter), and the enemy-used minigun, rocket launcher, SWARM launcher, heavy shotgun, and gauss gun (only with a headshot for the gauss gun). Executions: 500 Required An execution is the melee kill. You will probably get a lot of these anyway, but if you need them, just run around on the early levels on Normal and melee everyone. Heals: 500 Required You surprisingly get these when you heal an ally. This can be done either by breaching them, using squad heal, or using C2C pulse. If you want to boost it, repeatedly shoot and heal your teammate. Healing for any amount of health counts, even a little sliver. Reboots: 200 Required A reboot is when you revive someone. You can boost this either by teamkilling and reviving your friend (will cause you to lose points), or by having a friend stand next to an enemy on Expert and repeatedly get killed, while you stay in cover and revive him. Savior: 50 Required A Savior is awarded when you either heal someone who is at very low health, or save a teammate who is being electrocuted by killing the enemy electrocuting them. Not as easy to boost, but I guess you could damage your teammate to low health and heal them over and over. Team Savior: 50 Required A Team Savior is awarded when you are the last man standing, and reboot someone. Easily boosted with one other person by having them get downed repeatedly and rebooting them. Syndicate Heals: 500 Required A Syndicate Heal is just like a regular heal, only on a member of your syndicate. Boost them the say way as regular heals. Syndicate Reboots: 200 Required Just like a regular reboot, only on a member of your syndicate. Boost them like you would regular reboots. Syndicate Savior: 50 Required Exactly like a savior (not team savior), only on a member of your syndicate. Boost them the same way. Multiplayer Achievement Guide Employee of the month-10G Complete a mission after earning a team savior score A team savior is awarded when you are the last man standing and reboot a teammate. To easily get this, play with one other person, have them get downed, and revive them. You will ge the achievement after the mission. High Flyer-15G Score a 2,000 points combo Easier than it sounds. You get combos all the time when you semi-rapidly do things. To get this easily, revive a downed teammate and then kill a liquid/electric armor, or headshot a Sergeant. Application Manager-20G Do 10,000 points of damage and heal or block 10,000 points of damage using applications Doing 10,000 points of damage will come very quickly. To heal or block, use either shielding, squad heal, or C2C pulse. Just repeatedly use these applications and you will eventually get it. In the name of Science-5G Finish your first research In order to even do research, you need either blueprint or application tokens. You gain blueprint tokens when someone chiprips a liquid armor, reactive armor, electric armor, or an agent. You gain application tokens when you complete a mission on a specific difficulty for the first time. To start research, while in the lobby, go over to the agents tab, and click either weapon or application research. Click on the desired weapon/application, and you will see a list of upgrades and their cost. Simply press either A or X on an application to begin research on it. Research is completed as you gain experience points. Hostile Takeover-10G Defeat an enemy agent squad Your first chance at getting this is the end of Atlantic Accelerator. They can be difficult to defeat without 3 or 4 players, because they tend to heal each other. I recommend that at least one person has damage link and activates it, and then everyone focuses fire on the same agent. When he gets downed, have someone quickly run up and chiprip him. Make sure everyone else focuses on healing the person who is chipripping. Also note that enemies will spawn after every agent you kill. Sourman145
Oh no you don’t!-10G Complete 10 Contracts against members of your syndicate First of all, you will need to create a syndicate. This is done by going to the syndicate tab in the multiplayer menu and hitting “create syndicate”. After going through the creation process, you will need to invite players to your syndicate. If you have friends playing, ask them to join. If not, either use the Syndicate sign up page here in the forum, or play public matches and ask players to join. To actually invite people, press Y on their gamertags while in the lobby. You do not need to add them to your friends list to do contracts against them (credit to Brengun for that). Contracts are little challenges that you can do against your friends/syndicate members. You can see them by going to the agents tab and clicking challenges, contracts, stats and leaderboards, and then clicking contracts and challenges. They appear on the right half of your screen. You will only see contracts if a friend is further in a challenge than you are. Once you pass them in that challenge, you will complete the contract. To boost this, play the first mission on Normal, and let your friend kill most of the enemies (including the armor guys) and heal/reboot you more. Then, play through it again (or another mission) and do everything more than him. Mace Ace-5G Save a team member that is stunned by an electron mace Enemies using electron maces don’t show up until Colorado. They are generally Sergeants who have guns that shoot electricity arcs at you. Have a team member get stunned by this gun, and kill the enemy who is stunning them. Make It Snappy-10G Kill 50 enemies with melee executions Perform a melee execution by clicking the right thumbstick. Simply just run around and melee every enemy you see if you really want this achievement. Super Soldier-10G Complete a mission without going down If you have a really hard time with this, play the first mission on normal with at least one other person. Let them do most of the work while you stay back and heal them. Make sure you let them know when you need healing. Highly Adaptable-10G Kill 4 enemies in 4 different ways within 1 minute Load up Western Europe on Normal. At the beginning, throw a grenade at one enemy, kill an enemy with your primary weapon, your secondary weapon, and then melee an enemy. Initiation Complete-10G Complete all Co-Op maps on any difficulty There are nine maps: Western Europe, Mozambique, Atlantic Accelerator, Colorado, China, Scandinavia, Northern Territories, Argentina, and New England. For the easiest possible time, play on Normal with 4 people. Field Surgeon-10G Heal 3 team members for at least 50% of their health within 1 minute Obviously, you need 4 people. To boost, start up any mission, and shoot all of your teammates in the back until they are at below half health. Then, either use breaching, squad heal, or C2C pulse to heal them. Squad heal is the easiest, as it heals every teammate for 50%. Initial Public Offering-10G Be a member of a Syndicate consisting of at least 4 people Follow the steps for creating and inviting people to a syndicate in “Oh no you don’t”. Once you have four people (counting yourself), the achievement will unlock. Middle Management-50G 50% completion (level, research, and challenges) See “CEO”. You can check your progress by going to the agent tab. At the top half of the screen, a variety of stats will be shown; among them, your percentage complete. Rampageous-15G Do 250 rampage kills/kill streaks You get a rampage kill streak when you kill at least two enemies in a short period of time. Buy the chip upgrade called Killing Spree on the rightmost column to make these a bit easier. You can check your progress by going to “Extras” in the main menu and clicking “Player Statistics”. It is the first item under the section General Statistics (Campaign & Co-Op). Warpath-5G Get the rampage bonus up to 5 sequential kills You pretty much have to kill five guys at once to get this. Here’s an easy way to do it: Load up Mozambique on Normal. Play until you get to where the dropship lands. Around here, you should have killed a Sergeant or two who were using rocket launchers. Pick one up. Proceed towards the servers (drop the rocket to kill the three guys before going down the stairs if you need to). Once you go down the stairs, you will have to breach a console that opens two doors. Start breaching the console and face the left door (if you are facing the console). When the door opens, fire a rocket at the large group of enemies. There should be exactly five. Hacker-30G Use breach abilities 300 times Breach abilities means anything that you press LB to do, not just limited to the actual ability called “breach”. You can check your progress under the General Statistics (Campaign & Co-Op) tab in the Player Statistic menu. It will be listed as Total Application Use. Half-Millionaire-30G Collect 500,000 energy You collect energy by killing enemies when your abilities need recharging. I do not know if you can get energy when your abilities are full. This should come naturally. You can check your progress under the General Statistics (Campaign & Co-Op) tab in the Player Statistics Menu. It will be listed as Adrenaline Earned. High Value Asset-25G Complete all Co-Op maps on expert difficulty Expert mode is only unlocked for a mission when you first complete that mission on Normal or Hard. I do not recommend playing on Expert until you first complete every mission on Normal and Hard. This way, you will have sufficient upgrades and will know how every mission goes. I also recommend playing with 3 or 4 players. On Expert, the enemies do significantly more and damage and you fight many more Reactive and Electric armor enemies, as well as enemy agents. Nowhere To Hide-30G Use a penetration weapon to kill 500 enemies through cover, while in DART Overlay First off, the only three weapons capable of penetrating through cover are the Kusanagi HSR-6 Sniper Rifle, the Laser Coil and the Kusanagi ACR-10 Assault Rifle. I recommend the sniper rifle. To be able to penetrate walls with the HSR-6 and the ACR-10, you must purchase the MPB Munitions upgrade, which costs 6 blueprint tokens. To penetrate with the Laser Coil, you must purchase the Helium Focus upgrade (credit to Auburok for reminding me about that). Then, while in missions, stay behind cover and activate DART mode (RB). You will see enemies highlighted; shoot them through the wall. Some walls can’t be shot through, and you can’t always shoot through multiple walls. Most walls, however, can be shot through. You can check you progress under the General Statistics (Campaign &Co-Op) tab in the Player Statistics menu. It will be listed as Wall Penetration Kills. Gaggle of Guidance-5G Use the Swarm’s multi-target lock-on firing mode to kill 3 UAV drones with one volley The Swarm launcher is pretty rare in co-op. You only find it on the levels Argentina and New England. Here’s how I got the achievement: at the end of the atrium part in the level Argentina on Expert, there are two enemies with Swarm launchers. I picked one up, and proceeded through the next area (the multi-staircase area with many armor guys). At the first staircase, UAV’s come out. I breached them, and then locked onto them individually with the swarm and blew them up. The thing is, I’m almost positive there was only two UAV’s. I’m hoping someone else can test this out and see if it works. The Professional-20G Kill 50 enemies with all the weapons in the game Pretty self-explanatory. You can check your progress under the Kills/Weapon (Campaign & Co-Op) tab in the Player Statistics menu. Here’s a list of all the weapons and how to find them. TAR-39: Default weapon Minigun: Only used by Reactive Armors, and occasionally found in weapon lockers CQC11: Default weapon Electron Mace: Mainly used by Sergeants in the levels Colorado, China, and Scandinavia. Takes a while to actually kill guys, so get the upgrades ASAP Coil: Generally found in the same place as the Electron Mace, also sometimes in a weapon locker Thermite: Used by late-game or Expert difficulty Reactives, sometimes found in weapon lockers Razorback: Default Sidearm Fragmentation Grenade: Hold Y to switch to it, default weapon APP3: Default Sidearm Swarm: Found on Argentina and New England, most commonly on Expert UMK MKIV: Default weapon Sniper: Default weapon LAWS-92: Rocket launcher used by Sergeants, also found in weapon lockers. The upgrades help tremendously, and make sure to fire it at groups of enemies. Kusanagi: Default weapon Gauss: Used by Sergeants and Liquids/Electrics on Nothern Territories, Argentina, and New England. Also found in weapon lockers. Bullhammer: Default sidearm Riotlance: The burst-fire electric gun used by the Police in China and Scandinavia. Takes forever to kill a guy, so get the upgrades. Mjolnir: The heavy shotgun mainly used by Sergeants and Liquid Armors in the first three levels. Edited February 27, 2012 by Sourman145
Sourman145
Shield Breaker-10G Successfully sprint tackle 25 riot shield units You can’t actually sprint tackle riot shield enemies in co-op, but you can still get this achievement. When you shoot a riot shield guy with either the Electron Mace or the Riotlance, the riot shield goes flying and it counts for the achievement. To easily boost, play Scandinavia on Normal. At the beginning, an Electron Mace enemy will come out of the APC. Grab it. In the container area, you will encounter 9 riot shield enemies. Do this 3 times, and get the achievement. You can check your progress under the General Statistics (Campaign) tab in the Player Statistics menu. It will be listed as Shields Dropped. Hurt Locker-30G Breach 873 grenades This is easier to do in campaign, but you can get progress towards it in multiplayer. Enemies will often throw grenades at you, breach them like you would anything else. Swarm missiles also count, although there’s only like 3 enemies with Swarm launchers in the entire game. You can check your progress under the General Statistics (Campaign & Co-Op) tab in the Player Statistics menu. It will be listed as Grenades Breached. CEO-100G 100% completion (level, research, and challenges) You must hit Rank 30, buy all 25 chip upgrades, research all 138 items, complete all 125 challenges, and earn all 27 stars. Rank: You will probably get this maxed out before you beat the game on Expert. Chip Upgrades: Buy these in the Chip Upgrade menu in the Agent tab. You get 1 chip per rank, you need all 30 to buy all 25 upgrades (some cost 2) Research: If you need blueprint tokens, play on Expert. You will fight very many armor guys. Application tokens are achieved by completing every mission on every difficulty. Make sure you are always researching something. Challenges: See the challenge guide Stars: Beat every mission on Expert
IDiivil
I'm really, really confused over why you have so many SP achievements.. or otherwise what is easier to get in SP... in what you have listed as a multiplayer guide. Examples: Hurt Locker, Gaggle of Guidance, etc. Also, you have a lot of stuff that I know specifically to be said by either myself, Aub, or Gackt... such as the riot shield section and info about the mercs... Did you get this information by yourself, or are you going based off of things we said? I'm dubious specifically because you don't yet have the CEO achievement, a thread about mercs just came up in which we answered exactly what you wrote in the guide, and you don't have the CEO achievement. Credit where credit's due. Edited February 26, 2012 by IDiivil
Sourman145
I included only the SP achievements that can be done in multiplayer. I found the bit about the mercenaries about 4 pages into the gamefaqs forum last night. And the thing about using the electron mace on scandinavia to get the shield achievement happened this morning when a buddy of mine shot a shield guy with it. And no, I don't have CEO, but I'm at 94.4% and need only 18 challenges. I think it's fair to say I know what I'm talking about.

Auburok
You might want to cut out the achievements and expand on the actual challenges. How many enemies you can find for specific levels on specific difficulties, etc. Otherwise, it's not really a guide, but regurgitation of information. You also need to format it. It blends together when you're scanning down the list. You have bad info on Electrics Armor/Liquids. Electrics are EuroCorp levels (just like the campaign) on higher difficulties. Liquids tend to be the other two factions, sometimes more or less depending on the difficulty. Liquids are only replaced by Reactive Armors. First off, the only two weapons capable of penetrating through cover are the Kusanagi HSR-6 Sniper Rifle and the Kusanagi ACR-10 Assault Rifle. Incorrect. Coil secondary also does this. It's the next step up above sniper in terms of damage and penetration. I found the bit about the mercenaries about 4 pages into the gamefaqs forum last night. Come on, dude. Credit them. And are you positive about the electrics? I'm pretty sure I saw them earlier on Expert mode. I'm almost positive. Electrics are a EuroCorp faction enemy. I had no kills for Electrics until going on to missions EuroCorp arc (I was trying to keep track of Reactives at the time). Even then, I think they are hard mode and above, except for maybe one or two of them. I can't recall if Northern Territories was an Electric or a Liquid on normal mode, since it was sort of a mashup faction you were battling against. I'll confirm it sometime tonight. Nevander
Good guide but get some formatting in there. It's a little difficult to read without anything standing out. For example, make the challenge titles and value requirements bold or underlined, same goes for the achievements. Other than that, this will come in handy.
