Jellybean468
Just unlocked my achievement, finished at 5:57 AM on Day 4. I suggest restarting the game and getting the SUV keys, then restarting again and running straight for the Driving Magazine in the BBQ Shack, then straight to the SUV. Don't do any zombrexes, case files... nothing. Just kill zombies. LOTS of zombies.
The Filthy Goat
I just hit my 72K at 8:00pm on day 4. Doing all the cases and switching to the slicecycle as soon as I got the bike magazine on case 3-2. Finished during case 7-2 with 11 hours left till the firebombing. So even without going back in time using overtime, I have a considerable amount of time left to spare. So I wholeheartedly recommend this method for anyone who may be nervous about not getting it on time with the SUV-no cases method. I think I'm going to keep running it and see what I can cap out on before TK kills everyone. Especially since i haven't seen that ending yet. MrSteel74
I have no clue how you guys are doing this without doing the case files. I stared a fresh game with the SUV keys bought from a previous play through went straight for the magazine and then out to the SUV. Right now I have 20 hours to go and I need 23,000 kills. Over the last several run throughs I have barely been making 800 kills an hour my number of zombies has actually gone down since I started up day 3. I go through entire areas where there are no zombies at all this is driving me nuts. I have tried different paths, tried zoning in and out of Yucatan Casino and using the save reloading in the middle of the park. Anyone have any suggestions or should I just say screw it on this save. I'd also recommend this method to anyone who hasn't tried getting this achievement yet, because there is nothing more frustrating spending hours on end just driving over zombies and realise you're not going to make it by missing out about 2,000 wombies. Yes, 'wombies' was intended.
Kaspanova
got Zombie Genocider 2. Not worrying about the 72k one. Alls good.
JackTheRipper
The bike did do a thousand kills in 50 minutes though, 'twas glorious. If you grab the bike magazine from the Slot Ranchcasino (you have to do case 3-2 first) combine a chainsaw with the bike and you can rack up 5000+ kills. ( I crashed into a few things so m bike was damaged more, so you can probably get close to 6000)
JackBauer24
Can this be done with 2 people, in two different ways? 1. One person uses the slicycle driving in one direction while the other drives the SUV? 2. Can both people be in the SUV and have the kill count register for both in co-op? WhySoSerious831
Day 1 - 7pm - 10000 kills Day 2 - 7am - 22000 kills Day 2 - 7pm - 34000 kills Day 3 - 7am - 46000 kills Day 3 - 7pm - 58000 kills Day 4 - 7am - 70000 kills Day 4 - 10am - Game over Okay, I haven't finished yet, but this seems to be perfect. SUV level 50. Day one at 7pm I was at maybe 12,000. Day two at 7am, 24+. day two at 7pm, exactly 34,000. Really seems simple enough.

bombfirst885
Someone badly needs to write a better guide to getting this. I'm going to list some points though. - Skip all mission. Run straight for the vehicle magazine, and then to the SUV. Oh it also helps to save this achievement for last since you'll be a level 50. - Get a feel for the path you wanna take through the strip. There are spots where hordes form thick packs. Personally for me it was a feeling out process. As long as you're on par or ahead of the numbers posted a few pages back you're good. - Save every 2200-2500 kills. Personally I was saving on my third trip back down the strip towards the save point. By this time zombie hordes are spawning in less tight packs. Don't worry about the 4x4 health because it can easily go for over 3000 kills as long as you aren't hitting walls. - After saving take the caddy back to the SUV, rinse and repeat. I can't stress how much there is a feeling out process. Personally I got this achievement with six hours to spare using this method.
balboa316
But I don't understand, if you ignore the Case Files, then you lose the game and it starts over automatically. If the game starts over, your kill count resets. So, how is everyone getting 72,000 kills without doing the Case Files???

Buruma
Got it yesterday with just 45 in game minutes to spare. Not fun. I was averaging 850 to 1100 zombies every hour (five minutes real time). For anyone concerned about the Snipers causing less zombies to spawn, they really don't. I started falling behind using the save/load method so I switched to the Yucatan for a few hours on Day 3. Even with the Snipers around I was able to boost my # of kills per hour. There really is no difference in the # of zombies present.

AresGlvz
I've searched the entire area starting LEON'S trailer and the only/nearest chainsaw I spotted is always in the MAINTENANCE ROOM near the sex-shop. In the alley right across the Slot Ranch Casino Entrance (Silver Strip). There´s another chainsaw on top of the rock stage ai the left side, and if u kills chuck, there are two chainsaw and two bikes, double fun!!! Bulfmaster
Does anyone know of where to find a chainsaw? That may be near the bike? Or possibly anywhere! Thanks! On top of the stage! look to the back of the stage standing by the mic. climb the left side of black boxes. Get onto the cross ladder to the chainsaw. jl45
How do you deal with the snipers? they keep blasting me off the my bike.
STR1986
I'd like to point out that if you were to get said items, save and then restart the game from the quit option, you restart with any remaining money and keys, including the SUV key. EDIT. It seems I didn't read the topic properly - sorry about that! Thanks for the help, either way Edited January 14, 2011 by STR1986
SpinelesS
How do you deal with the snipers? they keep blasting me off the my bike. You have a few choices: 1) kill them 2) use the SUV 3)never leave outside. If you just save and then load at the savepoint outside You never leave the area. If you never leave the area, you never enter the area. If you don't enter the area when they are capable of loading, they never will load.

No, you can get it without completing any case files or giving Katey the Zombrex. Just make sure that you are killing 900-1400 zombies every five minutes (one in game hour). DestroyThineslf
Just got this the other night. 1st attempt was w/ no case files using the save/load method. Missed it by about 2k. Second attempt, did case files and when my SUV was about done, enter Yucatan then back out. Accidentally failed case 6-1 but kept going and got it with 45 in game mins to spare (whew). If i hadnt failed the case, i could have beat the game and still gotten the 72k way before overtime.
