Tenselemming
Sorry for the double post but I didn't reserve two post slots on the previous thread so here is the revised guide with advise from the community. Good Luck. Helpful Items Useful Outfits -Thanks to sigmund500- BFG Location- Go to Palisades Mall, then head towards the maintenance shop on the lower level closest to Atlantica Casino. Instead of entering, keep going down the hall. When you reach the end, go right and you'll find the elevator you took back upstairs from a mission. Use the elevator to go back down, head around the corner and straight into the door in front of you. Grab the Blast Frequency Gun leaning against the wall by the door then head back up to the mx shop and combine it with the amplifier -Thanks to hitechkoolaid- -Best items Plate Launcher- Cement Saw+ Plates Boomstick- PitchFork + Shotgun- (Palisades High Noon Shooting=Shotgun and Atlantica Entrance stuck in planter in between two escalators=Pitchfork) Quick Step:Wine +Wine Repulse: Beans + Beans PainKiller- Vodka+Vodka and Whiskey+Whiskey Tips -Easier with High level and combo cards -Some of the challenges will require you to have a higher inventory limit in order to complete them -To Earn the required amount of kills to open up the challenges Chainsaw + Motorcycle works the best unless you've unlocked the SUV -Use the tips below for co-op as well -Sometimes its easier to just die and reload checkpoint -Pretty much all the kill amounts challenges should be done with a Super BFG Challenges Roof Top Massacre- You start out here at the beginning of sandbox mode. Preferable with the Super BFG or use combo card of your choice Silver Strip Smackdown- Boomstick Balloon Man- Wear Ninja Suit and jump through zombies, (wearing ninja suit is pretty much beneficial for every one except Thirst Quencher unless you want to hold the magazine) Crowd Pleaser- Fire Crackers Heliblade, and Flying Saucer will help this Place your heliblade on the stage so that zombies dont die from it. Start the mission, throw firecrackers against the wall near the tables so that they dont bunch up in the entrance and run out and grab their attention easy enough Chop Suey-Plate Launcher counts as a slice, combine this with quickstep and aim for big crowds easy Rumble in the jungle- Super BFG Stiff Back- !!!Let me start off by saying the higher your inventory cap is the easier this will be you need at least a minimum 10 open slots !!! Go into Intimate Encounters in the Silver Strip and Fill up your inventory with massages. Go to Atlantica and climb on top of the octopus legs and look for a mag called Juice Boost. Next Go to the star where this mission starts and drop all of your inventory except the mag. Then go to the Leighs Fine Liquor (Palisades) and Stock up on wine (It's going to take a couple tries to get it right) Next go to the Grotto underneath the start of the challenge there is a blender and make as many quick steps as you can. Go to the start of the mission and drop all your quicksteps near the railing except for one and the mag. Drink them and then drop your mag near the rail but away from your collection of quick steps. Now pick up all of the massagers that you dropped earlier and start the challenge. Instantly drop all your inventory in the green zone and start looking for others. I will try and get a video to make this easier as explaining the locations is a little difficult but I finished with 1 second left. Places to look !!!NOTHING IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR!!! -Couches -Zombies Hands -In the Grotto -On top of slot machines -In shrubbery -Randomly on the Ground -Start with grabbing the furthest ones away Now you want to have the max amount in your inv. before you drop them off, then pick up a mag and a quickstep and drop the mag, rinse and repeat Now the best part is you want to have 30 before the 1 minute mark and the last 10 can stay on you but you just need to be standing in the green zone before the timer ends. Good luck its a pain in the ass Side note much easier to do if you don't have Slappie shooting fire balls are you As Requested video below I apologize for the terrible quality but hopefully it helps [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X37dK_EuL8]Dead Rising 2:Off The Record Stiff Back Challenge - YouTube[/ame] Edited October 14, 2011 by Tenselemming
Tenselemming
Killing Floor- Boomstick combo card (Shotgun + Pitchfork)is needed. The Boomstick special kill is worth 2500 PP. You need at least two of these to make the 35000pp requirement. Pitchfork is in Palisades near the atlantica entrance and the shotgun is 2nd Floor gun shop. It is super easy once you have them Murder on the High Seas-Super BFG Rule #1-Same as before Quick step run your ass off Do Not Try This At Home Boomstick Combo Card gets you the most points Thirst Quencher-Impossible to do without the drinking magazine or sports outfit (Americana Casino-Bernies BBQ 2nd floor, climb across the lights to the little ledge Zombrex was here in DR2) Fill up your inventory with drinks before hand makes it easier From the start run to the poker room, then the bar in the center and finish in the stage area where you face the magicians should have plenty of alcohol Ijiek Motors Present-Motorcycle-Dont Crash that easy Party Hard- Use Fire crackers or just run out grab their attention and run back in pretty easy Extreme Off-Road- Motorcycle with Chainsaw, chainsaw can be found on top of the rafters on the stage south of the Yucitan Very easy to get Scaffolding Shuffle-Just use the vehicle near the star. Before you start the challenge move the jeep next to the star. Start the challenge, hop in, drive to the left side of scaffolding, and get out. Should be there in around 30 seconds. Gives you more time for error seeing the jump to the second ledge can be a pain. Killer Rides-Stock up on fire crackers. Remove the barriers to the ship that flips upside down and the saucer that goes up when you press the button. At the start work with the Saucer that you press the button to operate throw fire crackers let them pile on it and then press the button. Finish up with the ship throw the fire crackers in the dipped down part Fast Food-Same as Balloon Man. Moose Head and Quick Step Shutter Bug You need 2 magazines in you inventory -Photography 1-Uranus Zone- First Aid station on coffee table in corner -Photography 2-Palisades Mall, Second Floor, Robsaka Mobile -Fill the rest of your inventory with fountain fireworks Start the Challenge and jam two or three zombies with them and take a picture as close to their face as you can. Rinse and repeat Pawned Prestige Boomstick!!!!! Robot Race-Quickstep and Repulse are needed for this one. Drink them prior to the challenge and run your ass off. (Rabblerouser's tip -get the clown car and park it next to the challenge icon and then use that to get over there quickly) Burn the Bodies-Either make or buy the Fire Spitter. (Toy Gun + Tiki Torch or Palisades pawn shop) you need at least 5 of them to be on the safe side. From the Start make your way towards the palisades entrance there is a massive group of zombies there should have plenty of time left once you hit 120 kills Lightning Never Strikes Twice- Easiest with the Tesla Ball and the Electric Crusher (Battery+Sledgehammer). You have plenty of time and Zombies Tunnel Vision- NEED A MOTORCYCLE- From the Star get on the tracks and turn left and drive. Don't crash Mad About Hats- There is an unlimited supply of Lizard Masks in Ye olde toy box right near the challenge. No Thanks Ill Stand- As usual Quickstep and I found that using the Blambow was the easiest you need at least 6 of them in your inv. if you fail just die and reload check point. You want to walk around and see where the biggest clusters of chairs are best places are -The beginning with wooden tables dont waste to much time but try and get at least 8-10 -Slots in front of starting point -Blackjack tables in front of Platinum Strip Doors (12 Chairs) -The Circle Bar (12 Chairs) -The cluster of yellow chairs in the area The key is to just keep shooting while aiming DTS and try to avoid exploding yourself Tunnel Of Blood- Motorcycle with Chainsaw easiest 500 kills ever One Armed Bandit 2 Money Hackers, there are 2 ATM's and then just hack the slots Alternative Method-Stock up on Money cases $10,000 in each one. Uranus zone respawns them. There is one in the bank vault and 2 in the Bar's upper level. One behind the counter when you reach the top and another one in the vip area. There is also a $60,000 one that won't respawn if you are holding it located in a hidden area. If you do the Robot Race afterwards climb the robots right arm and go out onto the thumb, jump across, look left and climb in the window. The first room has nothing much, but when you go into the next room there are two baskets on the floor, one has a handgun and money case. Double Trouble- You are going to want 2 Painkillers and Quicksteps in case you mess up the first time its pretty easy, next you want a Combo card melee weapon of your choosing and a LMG (Yucitan Food Court entrance up on ledge between Baron Von Brathaus and Food Court Entrance) or a Super BFG. Use your juices and start the challenge. When you fight them focus on just one like in the campaign, melee until you get knocked down a pp marker will pop above her head and then she will run. At this point pull out your LMG and just fire shots at her until she runs back at you. Rinse and repeat Rooftop Massacre 2- Super BFG Again Thanks for the help Hitechkoolaid Working on vids as I am finishing this up Edited October 14, 2011 by Tenselemming
Dangerline
Is there an alternative method for 'No thanks i'll stand'? cos i keep running out of time and the blambows dont do as much damage i thought they would most i got was 35, 75 just seems too high
TVthePunisher
Are the co-op challenges different than the single-player challenges? I'm just wondering cause I'm watching this video here and I didn't see the challenge here in this guide. HiTechKoolAid
Co-op challenges have different names, but are basically the same except the total needed for each medal doubles.
Fire Hawk D
I'm having a heck of a time on the chair-destroying challenge. It was so easy on co-op, too. T_T
acdougla17
With this guide, I was able to get gold medals on almost every challenge first try. Stiff back and No Thanks, I'll Stand to 2 tries. I just stayed in aiming mode and fired like crazy around the place. I hit the 75 chair mark with over 10 seconds to spare.
JuSt BLaZe
Silver Strip Smackdown- Boomstick There need to be a better method than this. I'm packed with two Boomsticks and achieve only 29.500 PP. When I look on the leaderboards, there are people with 90.000 PP (if not hacked). The time window is too short for Boomsticks. HiTechKoolAid
It's Boomstick + all 3 combat magazines. You get like 3250 per kill that way.

JuSt BLaZe
Good Call Ill throw that into the guide Yeah worked just fine. I was too lazy to search so I started the challenge with only one COMBAT magazine (#2, 10% additional PP for kills with weapons).

DarkAmon
i am having trouble with Robot Race i have searched every where on a way to climb up to the awning yet i cannot find a way to get there? what am i overlooking? unless this is different on the PS3 version, however that board (ps3trophies) is not as active as this so i figured i could get the help here. we are all just gamers after all. EDIT: Hayato182006 Posted 10/15/2011 1:34:24 AM message detail quotePast the bathroom, near the spinning alien ride, there is an entrance to a downed roller ride. Head up stairs and it'll lead you to the awning. Edited October 16, 2011 by DarkAmon
HiTechKoolAid
You go up the stairs to the roller coaster, break through the window and head right.

Mister Buds
could you post a good place to make blambows? i've never had reason to use the crossbow or dynamine, don't know where they spawn, or anything.
SteamboatWi11y
The Sports Fan outift helps alot with the timed challanges. Really helped out alot with "Stiff One" using the method posted and the outfit I had all 40 back with 20secs to spare.

The Food Court is a good place for Blambows. Two bow and arrows above Lombardi's the candy store, and a Dynamite up there as well just further along sitting on a box. Then another Dynamite in the Maintence Area near Cheesecake Mania. Exit to Yucatan Casino and back in to get more, Rinse and Repeat as needed. Sorry for the double post.
