Lavindathar
This is truly shocking - sad times in England. Stabbed, bricked and robbed of his copy. My thoughts are with him. http://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/news/gta-v-fan-stabbed-robbed-of-game-in-britain-420009

Rickmassacre
i doubt the reason he got attacked was for his game. it's london they'll do it for the hell of it. still fucking shit though, how people could do that
JuSt BLaZe
Dayum, this thing just got real. Now R* can spend all their money on lawshit. I feel sorry for the family, 23-years is freaking young!
Mr Sticki
I feel there's this type of attack happening at most big, triple-A title launches? Could be just me. Either way, wish that gentleman a speedy recovery. "MINE!"
zambeezi
So any minute now we can expect a bunch of news stories about violence caused by video games etc. That's what I thought when I saw it on the news last night. For that very reason I don't go out at night... don't want to get clubbed with a 4 foot dildo!
AwoL DudE
Sounds like a typical mugging, only reason it's made the news is because he happened to have a copy of said 'ultra violent' game on his person.

angelusanya78
No doubt there will be people saying that games = violance, cause there was never a murder before a games console.... Either way, swift recovery to the victim.
MILINKYO
His wallet and watch where also stolen, sad fact is if it happened any other night it would never have been mentioned in the news

KFZ Scrubs
The game isn't even worth doing something like that. That's why whenever I go out to get something on craigslist or for something that's highly sought after, I bring my friend and he brings his Machete and his gun

MrStabby1981
Yeah wouldn't matter if he had a kebab or pizza they would have mugged him for that. And yes it was video games that made the sailor a killer not his military training and nothing to do with him being mentally unstable. BertieBotsJellyTots
I know it's horrific and all but don't newspapers and the media realise that it's more free advertising for the game and enticing more people to play it. The same happened with Manhunt (I hadn't really heard of it until the murder of a 17 year old in England). Rockstar/DMA once paid PR spinster Max Clifford to put articles in the media regarding the controversial violence and the like as a way of more advertising. Well, at least they can't blame the game's content as neither of them had played it yet.
AlienDenzil85
The fact he had the game is important, but not for the reason the media are giving. As a few people have said, the mugger would have mugged him regardless, whatever he had on him. That being said, if he hadn't gone to a midnight release, he wouldn't have been mugged at 1:30am and so the mugging of some other poor sod wouldn't have made the news. Slow2die
This is so sensationalist. It happened way after midnight so he was clearly hanging around rather than heading home. I queued up in South east london at a random tesco express and the queue was full of gangsters smoking weed and talking about robbing the store for all the copies but unless your doing something silly then your not gonna get bricked for your copy of a game.
