Emailed them twice - got a response today:

 

We are aware of the issue and have recently have found the problem. We are currently discussing with Microsoft the quickest way to solve the issue and we hope it can be fixed from XBOX Live server's side. If this will be possible the fix should be up and running in a couple of days. Otherwise a full game update submission will be necessary and that can take up to a couple of weeks.

 

The solution is going to come, one way or another, hopefully faster rather then later.
