TheLankyguy
Overview: -Estimated achievement difficulty: 6/10 -Offline: 45 (1000:gsicon:) -Online: 0 -Approximate amount of time to 1000:gsicon:: 15-25 hours -Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3 -Number of missable achievements: 0 -Do cheat codes disable achievements?: No -Does difficulty affect achievements?: Yes -Glitchy achievements: None -Unobtainable achievements: None -Extra equipment needed?: None Introduction One of the more bizarre games of the year, Asura’s wrath doesn’t cease to entertain, with a vibrant anime styled world, amazing battles and action, and a story that you can’t help to love. While more of the game is told through interactive cut scenes, the actual fights and bosses of the game is the reason gamers will come back for more! This guide aims to help gamers get the full 1000 as quickly as possible, so I hope you find this useful. Step 1: Normal difficulty playthrough For your first playthrough, it’s recommended to start on Normal rather than easy (There are no difficulty achievements for easy difficulty, starting on normal would save an extra playthrough). For this one try to aim for an “A” or “S” result in all the episodes, getting at least 10 “S” ranks (this will get two gauges that you will need for the next playthroughs). The other achievements to look out for on normal are the “Shut up…” achievements. Play the game through on Normal and beat the "Secret Episode" once you finish the game and your first playthrough is complete. You can use unlockable or pre-order bonus gauges as they will not disable any achievements. Step 2: Blind master Gauge Playthrough For this step you will be doing another playthrough with the “Blind master” gauge equipped. This gauge disables all other gauges in the game, so you’ll need to tread with caution to survive. To make this easier, I’d recommend doing this on easy mode. Also take this opportunity to finish collecting combat achievements that you didn’t finish from the normal playthrough (burst, counters, unlimited mode kills, excellent prompts etc...) Step 3: Mortal gauge Playthrough For this step you will be doing another playthrough with the “Mortal” gauge equipped. This will reduce your life gauge, so again I’d recommend going through on easy for this one. Step 4: Hard Playthrough The final playthrough will be dedicated to going through on the hard difficulty. This can be testing, and by now you should have all the gauges unlocked, so equip one of your choice (I would take the defender or the obliterator gauge) to make this easier. If you would rather cut down on a playthrough, then you can equip either the “mortal” or “blind” gauge to save time, but this can make things much more difficult Step 5: Unfinished business Now all that’s left to do is to get any “S” ranks you missed on normal and hard, and anything else you missed. Conclusion I hope you guys find the game very fun and this guide useful on your road to 1000G, so release the wrath! WARNING! For story related achievements, do not skip the cutscenes that they correspond to, otherwise the achievement will not unlock.

The number of times required is 100 times. To perform a burst, you have to fill the gauge underneath your health gauge by attacking enemies (normally rapid fire attacks that are performed with the :xbut:button do not fill the gauge but they do in shooting sections). Once full, press :rtbut:to activate burst. The number of kills are 300 Heavy attacks hit all those in a close meter radius, but overheats asura for a while, whilst lock on fire attacks are used by moving the crosshairs over targets to lock on in shooting sections, then fires lock on attacks at the selected targets. They are both activated with . To make this easier, use only lock on fire in the shooting sections, and heavy attacks when enemies are many in the normal sections (unlimited mode makes heavy attacks easier by removing the cooldown procedure). Do it like this and you should have unlocked it by chapter 10. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1623/UP69AJw=.jpgQuick on the Draw-15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Achieve a certain number of EXCELLENT synchronic impact rankings. Wait for it to become near the exact size as the prompt then press it to achieve an EXCELLENT. You should reach this number around your 2nd-3rd playthrough http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1623/UP8i5Og=.jpgBe the Fist-20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Achieve a certain percentage for your overall synchronic rate average. You need to achieve at least 80 % on your synchronic rate average. This isnt that hard, just always be ready during cutscenes and aim for EXCELLENT's. If you end lower, just replay episodes where you had a low synchronic rate and it will eventually pop up. You need to receive a total of 10000 in damage for this one This is one you should get quite early on, I achieved this around episode 9, but with all the playthroughs including the one on hard, it's unlikely you will miss this one. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1623/UPtg94I=.jpgToo Legit to Quit-15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png If at first you don't succeed... Plan your moves, and attack patiently. To make this easier, do this on easy difficulty. Unlimited mode is automatically activated with this gauge equipped http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1623/UPihBqQ=.jpgWho Needs Health?-90 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Complete all episodes with a certain gauge equipped. For these achievements, you need an "S" rank on every episode (secret ep. included) on hard AND normal. Ranking is based on 3 elements. -Clear time -Battle points -Synchronic rate You need 3 "S"'s or 2 "S"'s and one "A" in these elements to get an overall "S" The obliterator gauge will aid you for this one. Since you won't face much of a great opposition clear time isn't a worry, however battle points are. Just don't die, Use alot of heavy attacks as there is no cooldown, and continue to fight even when the burst gauge is full to boost your rank, but not so long as to hinder your time rank. Synchronic rate isn't too hard. Always be ready during cutscenes for those out-of-the-blue buttons, don't miss anything and aim for mostly EXCELLENT's. EliteShadowMan
Is there a reason to making another guide when the games already simplistic? There's really nothing you can do to differentiate this from the other guide. Either way i want to see how yours turns out.
TheLankyguy
Im not trying to differentiate anything, i just felt like making a guide for two games, this and MGS: HD collection. Besides the game can have some difficult achievements. Its not to compete really, its just for fun. I'll probably get round to finishing it later when I have the time

pedgz
just a quick question regarding skipping cutscenes: if i need to use the replay feature to get S ranks, as long as i've unlocked the chapter-/story-related achievements, it's alright to skip them, yes? shelbygt5252
just a quick question regarding skipping cutscenes: if i need to use the replay feature to get S ranks, as long as i've unlocked the chapter-/story-related achievements, it's alright to skip them, yes? Yes you can skip all cutscenes that do not contain QTEs. The game will not allow you to miss any cutscene that will affect your Sync Percentage. So a playthrough on hard would only take about 2-3 hours if you are looking to S rank while skipping all unnecessary scenes.
