madmassey
This is just some quick info that would have helped me had I been more prepared for the endgame stuff. Basically, you can complete most of the game before deciding which of the four endings to take... and if you follow these quick items, you'll only have to do them once instead of 2-4 times each. Quick and painless endgame achievements. BTW, I try to keep things vague but there are definitely plot spoilers here. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Accept all the missions up to and including "Render Unto Caesar". You won't have to make a branching decision yet. Just talk to House, the NCR embassy on the strip, Yes Man, and the Legion guy that appears outside The Tops and get all their missions. (As well as your luxury suite in the Lucky 38!) http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Go to the Boomers in Nellis Air Force Base to the northeast. Get on friendly terms with them by completing their missions. Eventually you can convince their leader to help you in the final fight, assuming you got that mission from the NCR (Things That Go Boom). Accept their help, it applies to all the endings. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Go to The Kahns in Red Rock Canyon, to the northwest south of the mountains. Do their missions and convince their leader to shun the Legion and bail. You'll still be good for the Legion ending. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Deal with The Omertas in the Gomorrah Casino via the mission "How Little We Know". Get this from the Gomorrah receptionist after you talk to some people in The Tops. I don't know if it's important how you resolve this, but I helped Cachino out in every way that I could. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Deal with the White Glove Society in the Ultra-Luxe casino via the mission "Beyond The Beef". Again, don't know if the resolution is important but I exposed Mortimer and saved the reputation of everybody else. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Do all the missions for The Kings leader, The King (in Freeside). Get to the point where he offers you a favor. Don't spend it on any of the 3 available rewards... it'll make things easier on you later for one of the storylines. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Make sure you have Arcade (found in the Mormon Fortress in Freeside) recruited, and make sure he's alive and well. At some point during your Legion playthrough later on, you'll be able to use him to avoid a trip to the most annoying dungeon in video game history, Vault 34. (Having a Medicine stat of 50 or higher apparently also works.) http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Go to The Brotherhood of Steel base in Hidden Valley, east of Goodsprings in a fenced in area. There are a number of ways to gain access, one of which is looting a brotherhood body north of their base in a crater. Do all their missions, get friendly, whatever. But in the end, just deal with them, lol. Blow them up via the self-destruct terminals, kill them all, whatever. Everybody seems to want these guys dead and doing it now will save you from having to do it several times later on. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Secure the platinum chip. Everybody wants this thing and you can get it before you decide which faction to go with. I recommend letting Benny run to "The Fort", then completing "Render Unto Caesar" up to the bullet point "Deal With Benny". When given the chance, awaken the Securitron army. This is cool for Caesar's storyline because he'll just hear a noise and assume the threat is dealt with. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Discover the El Dorado Substation, southwest of Vault 11 and 188 Trading Post. It will make travel easier later on. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Discover Hoover Dam, east of Boulder City. Again, travel will be easier later on. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Now that you've done all this stuff, make your final save and branch off from here. Talk to one of the four faction leaders (House, Yes Man, Caesar, NCR Embassy Guy) to continue, and each final storyline will zoom by really fast since you already completed most of their objectives. *** A few warnings! *** http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png I recommend leaving your companions behind for the final Legion missions. I brought Boone with me to sail over to Caesars camp the first time and the idiot just started shooting the guy we were supposed to meet. Boone is the worst double agent of all time. So then, I just brought E-DE and that tin can got in a bunch of random altercations too. It'll go smoother if you fly solo, IMO. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Be careful of the faction outfits you're wearing on the final missions. Specifically, I was wearing an NCR outfit for the first Hoover Dam Legion mission, and then kept getting attacked when I teleported to The Fort after the mission. They appear to be hostile even though a Legion agent personally hands you the NCR outfit a few moments before and asks you to wear it, lol. ****** That should be pretty much it. You'll have to deal with Mr. House 3 times, then do the final 2 Hoover Dam missions 4 times each (Yay!!), but getting all the endgame achievements should go rather quickly after this. Let me know if I missed anything here... I was pretty drunk last night when I beat these and I think Caesars storyline threw a few curve balls, but you should basically be covered if you do all this stuff before you choose a faction. JuSt BLaZe
You're the man madmassey. I was looking for something like this, cause I'm right @ the point where have to decide where to go. Thumbs up yo!
Lone Soldier x7
If only you came a week earlier! I did t know each faction would want me to deal with all the other factions til now!! I hated doing those long quest for just one quest! I have to do it all over again
zindar
What does this guide do? Get all faction achievements in one playthrough? Sorry to sound like a noob I just started playing New Vegas today
KrakenGreyjoy
If you save where he indicates, you can get all the guest achievements at the perfect save spot. They can't all be cheeved in one playthrough. This way you wont have to start at square one.
madmassey
Heh, glad you guys like it. I literally had to hike my ass back to the hidden bunker 4 times because I was an honorary Brotherhood of Steel member and desperately wanted to save them.. But everybody kept asking me to kill them over and over even with 100 speech. So I just gave up and betrayed my brothers, lol. But anyway, the experience made me want to make a list because I scoured these forums before and the most detailed info I could find was "save after the legion messenger talks to you"... Which, as you can see, isn't quite the whole picture. I had luckily already done most this stuff anyway cause I'm a completionist.
PenderPowguin
Hey! in that walkthrough you dissed on Vault 34! That Vault was awesome!!! It has good experience and great weapons. Also, this guide is SUPER extensive. Wouldn't it be easier just to save Right after completing Ring a ding ding? That's what I did and got all achievements just fine. Ah well, extra details never hurt right?
madmassey
You can just save after Ring a ding ding... But depending on what you've done so far you'll have to re-experience a significant amount of content up to 4 times. Being a professional game developer myself, I think that's a pretty lame way of extending gameplay time... Right up there with forcing the player to backtrack to extend geo usefulness, lol. If you follow this guide, you get to do all this awesome stuff the perfect amount of times, once! Except for the Hoover Dam missions of course. I didn't think of that because I did EVERYTHING I could before I went to the main quest but other people maynot be like me. I think it's kind of funny to label yourself as a 'professional game developer' Not trying to be a dick but that kind of seems desperate... On that note, since you are indeed a professional, what exactly have you developed or helped develop? I am just curious because you could be super awesome or super gay to me depending on the game hehe.
madmassey
Lol. I'm just saying that to say that I wouldn't dare insult a gameplay mechanic in a game that I love unless I thought I could do better... PenderPowguin
according to my game guide there are 27 different endings you can get for this game Yeah it depends on what you do (side quests, certain descisions) through out the game. But there are only 4 faction decisions to complete the game. Independant NCR Legion Mr.House

What is wrong with him being a game designer anyways? Great guide man. I kept an older save file when all of the final missions opened up but I have to check if I can do a little more to make it easier to knock everything out with minimal replay instead of starting all over. The Cripplers
Thanks for the guide. I took Arcade Gannon to the fort and talked to the guy behind the throne, but nothing seems to happen. Is there something I need to do to trigger it?
madmassey
You won't need to do the Arcade thing until you're several missions into your Legion playthrough. I was trying to avoid spoilers but basically, at a certain point Caesar will tell you he's feeling ill and needs you to take a trip to Vault 34 to fix his medbot. You should have a dialogue option to suggest Arcade instead at this point. You can't volunteer him until you select this dialogue option.
Evo Kazz
I'm confused with this bit.... http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/start.png Secure the platinum chip. If I let Benny escape the Legion they all try to kill me which wont let me do Render Unto Caesar, is there another way to get the chip while keeping all happy? I know I shouldn't. I try not to but seriously I am human being I make mistakes. At least I am a man and admit to them yaknow, I also appologized to the OP. There's nothing wrong with him being a developer, he's legit and good too! But some people come on these forums bragging about their 'developing' skills when in fact they're just false and that is insulting to those who actually work their ass off like the OP, Imho. But anyways, hope that clears this situation up.

ColdSpider72
If your medical skill is above 50 (Or 30 with a med skill mag and the double mag effect perk) you can do it yourself. No need for Arcade.
Parallax Demon
Probably a stupid question. Can I do everything you said on savefile 1, and after finding the Hooverdam, I can choose which ending I want, or do I have to make a new save after each paragraph? I ask this because the first 3 doesn't seem to influence the faction choice you have to make.
xRelentlessx
Ok so I've just finished Ring-a-Ding and ive picked up House always wins 1 from mr house, and Wild card from yes man, I just need to pick up the other 2, so nothings screwed in my game then? waxc3
just a quick question when is the point that I am suppose to make different save files? when the game prompts you if you continue to help so-and-so then so-and-so faction will no longer like you. and when it says THIS IS THE FINAL BATTLE be sure to save before that (or click not ready and save, then click ready)
