Doktor Wilhelm
Updates: 18/02/12 (extra details), 19/02/12 (road map) NOTE: I would have thought someone would have done this sooner? But as they haven't; I thought I would throw my hat into the ring and have a go myself; please be gentle with me; this is my first time (writing a guide and roadmap). Anyways; let's get on with the show: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Wilhelm/Gotham2.png Overview: -Estimated achievement difficulty: 7 (luck and skill plays a big part) -Offline 0 -Online 200 -Approximate amount of time to 200: 40+ hours (getting to level 100 will be quite a grind) -Minimum number of playthroughs needed 0 -Number of missable achievements 0 -Do cheat codes disable achievements? N/A -Does difficulty affect achievements? N/A -Glitchy achievements There have been reports that Hero of the Hour is glitchy and there is a glitch with stats that makes everything harder to get. -Unobtainable achievements N/A -Extra equipment needed? N/A Introduction: Gotham City Imposters is a multi-player only team based first person shooter, with a Batman theme. When you start the game you first stop should be the Initiation mission to learn the basics of the game, and then you can either play the main game or attempt to gain Gold medals in Challenge mode. There have been reports that Shower of Gold and Hero of the Hour are not unlocking when they would; though people are reporting getting Shower of Gold at 51 gold medals and Hero of the Hour during their next match of fumigation after the match they should have gained it in. Walkthrough: When you first start up the game, head straight to Play Now and select Initiation and complete the brief tutorial (Initiated), now jump straight into normal gameplay; your first stop should be Fumigation, and complete your first match (Thanks for Playing!), after a few games you will have gained enough EXP to be level 3 and be able to unlock a weapon (Customizer). During your matches of Fumigation hang back and allow others to run forward and soften up enemies as you finish them off from range in order to get a 10 kill streak (Kill Crazy), also during these fumigation matches you should be attempting to gain a second Gasblaster for your team when the enemy team has less than 10% to go until victory (Hero of the Hour). Now if you've not already won a match on each map during fumigation, do so and then do the same for Team Death Match and Psych Warfare (Total Victory); if your having problems keeping track of which maps you've won on, at level 35 Feats of Prowess unlock of Gametypes that include feats for winning on each map during each gametype (though it doesn't track wins on the maps before level 35). During all this time you should be attempting to kill players as much a possible without dying in order to be come their nemesis, until you have become players nemesis 50 times (Nemesaurus) to become someone's nemesis you must kill them 5 times without them killing you; it doesn't matter if you die by someone else's hands just as long as the person who you keep killing doesn't get a revenge on you. You can view how may times you've become someone's Nemesis in the Lifetime section of the Feats of Prowess menu. At level 10 you unlock the Feats of Prowess of Weapons, which weapon you use will be upto your playstyle; if you're good at headshots use a machine-gun/rifle for running and gunning and a sniper rifle for sniping, if you like ambushing people close up use a shotgun, if you prefer ambushing from a distance use launchers and if you want to play medic for your team use the Motivator, pick a weapon and stick with it until you've unlocked all of it's Feats of Prowess (Weapon Specialist). When the Feats of Prowess for Support items unlock at level 18 you should make sure to unlcok the Motion Sensor support item and just run around using the Ninja Smoke Bomb gear to stay hidden dropping the motion sensors in high traffic areas or near objectives, every time it recharges drop another one and by the time you've detected enough enemies you will have dropped more than enough to complete both of the items Feats of Prowess (Gearhead). During Psych Warfare matches after the other team attach the battery to your teams motivator and the countdown reaches zero; another countdown will begin; during this time you will not be able to shoot; though if you hold the fire trigger you will perform a slapping animation; kill the enemies with this slap 50 time (Slap Happy) and you will gain the achievement; it's very hard as opponents will be able to see you on their radar during this time and their gun fire pushes you back; it is best to ambush enemies as they chase your team mates. You can also use the panic-slap melee attack at the end of a losing Fumigation match; but the window of time in which it is possible is very small, before you die from the poison/bats. Now you can either keep playing against other people until you reach level 100 and accept a promotion (Prestigious), or you can put the skill that you've learnt during gameplay to good use and gain 50 medals in Challenge Mode (Shower of Gold) before going for level 100. Conclusion: The above guide is aimed at gaining the achievements as fast as possible, but it's still going to take a while to gain all the achievements as Prestigious will take 2.5million exp, so sit back and enjoy the game. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1931/UPk4Xqg=.jpgSlap Happy - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Kill 50 enemy players using the panic-slap melee attack. When you reach level 100 you will be able to accept a promotion, getting to level 100 will take 2,5000,000 EXP so complete as many Feats of Prowess as you can. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1931/UPv-sjU=.jpg Gearhead - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Complete all feats related to a particular gadget or support item. Gadgets and support items are unlockable after level 3, but you will not gain the ability to complete the feats related to them until level 15 for Gadgets and level 18 for Support Items. Each gadget/support item has it's own different feats that need to be completed. There easiest item to complete the feats for is the Motion Sensor support item as you do not have to kill anyone for it's feats; just run around using the Ninja Smoke Bomb gear to stay hidden dropping the motion sensors in high traffic areas or near objectives, every time it recharges drop another one and by the time you've detected enough enemies you will have dropped more than enough to complete both of the items Feats of Prowess. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1931/UPmhp2c=.jpgKill Crazy - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Earn a 10-kill streak. Play your first match; Start the game and select play now, then you have the option of either Team Death Match, Fumigation or Psych Warfare; pick either one of them and after the match is over the achievement it yours. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1931/UPpgVkE=.jpgCustomizer - 5http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Unlock any locked loadout or costume item. You gain access to the Impostor Customization menu (Secret Identity), your first loadout slot and unlock tokens at level 3, use an unlock token on any loadout item and the achievement is yours. The ability to unlock costume items isn't available until level 8 after that you can use costume coins to unlock any costume item and gain the achievement that way. Doktor Wilhelm
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1931/UP4iRSs=.jpgWeapon Specialist - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Complete all feats related to a particular loadout weapon. You gain access to the Feats of Prowess of Weapons at level 10. Particular feats are different for each weapon and the game has several different types of weapons that cater to different play styles. Rifles, Submachine Guns, Heavy Weapons and Sniper Rifles are good for people used to playing first first person shooters as they usually have: X amount of kill, X amount of headshots and X amount of kills with each mod equipped; as their feats, although the (Heavy Weapon) Deep Freezer is different in that it has feats for inflicting damage with the weapon as well as shattering enemies with you knife after freezing them instead of kills and headshots. If you have difficulty gaining headshots, you may prefer Shotguns as they need close kills instead; though you have to be more or less right next to the enemy when you gain the kill. Launchers are good for people that prefer ambush attacks and need muti-kills instead of headshots. If enjoy playing Medic you may find that the Motivator is a good weapon to use for this as it doesn't require any kills (as you can't do damage with it) or mods (there are none), just healing. Although the feat to gain 1200 healing in 10 seconds will take teamwork, as you will more than likely need to heal 3 to 4 players using the Mighty body type while they are under constant fire. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1931/UPsZVx0=.jpgHero of the Hour - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Turn the tables in Fumigation when the enemy team's victory is imminent. ofay
For weapon you might want to add that it's 1000 kills and 500 headshots. That the shotgun and launchers don't require headshots but close kills and multi kills respectively. And that the bear stalker only has one mod that requires challenges. In case people don't want to be a medic Also a tracker for total victory is located under game type, it tells you x/5 completed so you still have to know which ones you won on, but you'll know when you got all 5 for each game mode And the nemesis tracker is under lifetime GG on the guide, as soon as I saw it I thought "why didn't I do this yesterday?" lol Also fking awesome banner for the guide Edited February 16, 2012 by ofay

My thinking with the motivator was that it seems the fastest; but I can understand people not wanting to be a medic; I'll add a few details about which combat weapons would be best/fastest! The trackers in the Feats of Prowess are only accessable at certain levels, so they don't keep track of what you've already done before unlocking the ability to gain credit towards them; it's why I'm asking if anyone knows the levels they unlock at; as I agree that it would be good to mention the trackers in the guide, but they arn't there from the beginning of the game (and arn't always needed to actually get the achievements). Great work on the guide!!! thanks Thanks! Edited February 17, 2012 by Doktor Wilhelm
ofay
Isn't the lifetime tracker there from the start? That would be the one to track the nemesis cheevo
GoDz Kaiser Ren
Not sure that I agree the motivator is the easiest since you have to get what 1200 points of healing in 10 seconds? I've been trying to do that for a while now and considering that's basically 4 mighties with horse healthy at 22 or less hp? Ehhh... Not saying it's impossible just without communication and playing with some friends (or people working on it in a party) it seems one of the more annoying challenges in the game. Even healing 3 people at once in a firefight where they were all taking damage but staying alive I only JUST got the 800 points of healing in 10 seconds. Other then that it's a great guide so far, and for a few tips on the panic slap alot of people have said that a mighty/body armor/ with the armor buff rampage works well. I haven't had any luck considering as long as your getting shot your being pushed back so I tried a speedy/rollerskates/and the speed buff rampage. It makes it alot easier to not only get to them quickly but get behind them so you can get the extra slaps in the smaller body needs.

ofay
That's really gonna depend on skill and play style. Good fps players this games a 2, if you're not good at fps prob a 10 Edited February 17, 2012 by ofay
Tonic24k
That's really gonna depend on skill and play style. Good fps players this games a 2, if you're not good at fps prob a 10 That's ridiculous. That large of a disparity can't be attributed to gamer skill. Unless of course you're comparing a one armed infant and MLG player of the year.
I1 Chewbacca I1
I agree with ofay on the difficulty. For me a 10 kill streak and 500 head shots with the gate keeper to get achievements is not that hard. To get to 100 is a grind. I'm at 80 at 27 hours, with no double xp. They are not that hard just a slog. I would give it a 4 for fps veterans and a 7 for people new to series outside COD. Plus, slap happy is more luck than skill. Doktor Wilhelm
Updated a bit; added in a few bits; not sure about the section on weapons; just feels a bit heavy and maybe confusing? ofay
You should paste that road map into the first post That's ridiculous. That large of a disparity can't be attributed to gamer skill. Unless of course you're comparing a one armed infant and MLG player of the year. No it's not, one cheevo is tied to clearing all fears with a weapon, one being getting 500 headshots, another is get a 10 kill streak, another is get 50 nemesises (that's killing a player 5 times withouth them killing you) You asked for a difficulty and I answered. This games cheevos are easily as hard as call of duty on veteran which to some people is a walk in the park, to others insanely hard. If you dont like how someone else rated it, give your own rating and a reason why you think it's better not call it insane

ofay
It took me long enough to get 500 headshots with the dawn patrol. I would say since gold medals on the new map are supposed to count towards that cheevo the new weapons would as well
Yin
Great guide. I made YouTube videos for the challenge levels, feel free to put them in your guide. Also, it's worth noting that there are now a total of 90 possible challenges, as the newest map, "25th Floor" includes an additional 15 levels (as shown in the videos below). snowboardjo
Honestly I agree with you. i was very good at Shadowrun and this game is a lot like it and though ive gotten a 9 kill streak, with as many experienced players as there is on this game its incredibly difficult to get a 10 kill streak. not impossible but unless you get lucky and find a very small game with unexperienced players, it will take a lot of time and skill to get that 10 kill streak cheevo. hero of the hour is difficult too

anslytlid
I can note that slaps in Fumigation doesn't count, unless they of some weird reason gets added to the feat counter for Psych Warfare. I had 2 slap kills in Fumigation, but the achievement didn't unlock before the Slap Happy feat counter reached 50. This means I had 50 slap kills in Psych Warfare + 2 slap kills in Fumigation. The achievement is most likely linked to the Slap Happy feat, so unless Fumigation slap kills of some weird reason gets added to that counter, they most likely doesn't count. Kyoujin
Thanks for the guide! Though I really regret getting the game haha.. mostly because it runs horrible on my PC (I don't know why, a lot of other games have no issues and this game isn't even that great looking).. Plus some of the achievements look like they'll be annoying, mostly getting level 100.. But oh well, when I upgrade my PC, I'll be using your guide! Haha. fastNcurious
This happened to me. The tracker for Weapons Specialist glitched and showed that I completed 0/7 feats for my weapon when it should've shown 5/7. I don't know why. I turned off console and restarted the game and it shows correctly now. I'm going to check that tracker when I think I'm close to getting the achievement. Don't want it to glitch on me....
