Stifler4Life
I would stick with Kazooie, Tooie is more complex if your not familiar with the Kazooie's controls. Besides, the First-Person aspects are inverted and can be daunting in certain boss battles. Ex. Mr. Patch, Hag 1. But really both are great games, why not just get both? mjc0961
I would stick with Kazooie, Tooie is more complex if your not familiar with the Kazooie's controls. Besides, the First-Person aspects are inverted and can be daunting in certain boss battles. Ex. Mr. Patch, Hag 1. You can change the up/down motion of the aiming in the options menu if it doesn't suit you. But what you can't change is how the targeting cursor doesn't stay where you place it. That is completely obnoxious.
Poida
If you aint really into the story and just want a good platformer, get Tooie, otherwise get Kazooie to understand the original characters.
Juggasaurus Rex
The first one is great, I can't remember ever playing this one so I thought I would check it out. Go for the first one and if you like it come back for this one
Poida
I hate that football thing on Tooie, way too hard. But Tooie has loads more stuff in it, levels are different and you can use other characters
HaZard2K8
Even though Tooie is the better game when it comes to moves, levels, depth, etc. Its better to start off with Kazooie because Tooie builds off of the gameplay and story of Kazooie.
Banana of Doom
I think the first is a lot more enjoyable. Tooie is bigger, yes, but bigger doesn't always equal better. I liked the sense of completion in the first one... 100 notes, 10 jiggies, 5 Jinjos, 2 honey combs, every level. Tooie, the levels are too large and convoluted... Too much backtracking and just feeling like you're accomplishing little. I'll 200/200 it eventually, but ugh.
Poida
I agree the levels on Tooie are rather big, bit too big and the backtracking is annoying as. I just enjoy the variety in their puzzles
A Cow
kazooie first just beacuse its the first one in the series
DeadSpace99
They're both amazing and in terms of review scores Tooie scored better and I liked it better, but you should play Kazooie first and play it none the less as it is a classic and amazing game. LowerKibbles
Tooie is far superior to Kazooie, but Kazooie is better than Tooie.
Veterancodplayer
Play Kazooie then buy Tooie after you complete it since Tooie assumes you know all the old moves plus all the characters.

Jimmy Taw
Gotta vote for Kazooie. I love the originals' soundtrack more.
iceghost27
The first is an amazing game. It ranks among the best ever according to me. Tooie... Not so good. Ofcourse, it's a good and enjoyable game. But it's unnecceserly complex, which, to me, ruins it. But you should get both and play them in order. I would say this is a bit harsh I don't like the complexity either but I still don't think the game is ruined. The complexity sure makes it hard though. I think that playing Tooie before Kazooie would make it excruciatingly difficult. Get Kazooie simpler, funner.
Sparx.
Kazooie all the way. It was simple and fun. Tooie was complicated and unnecessary. I constantly got lost in Tooie because the maps were way too big. Although, there are some parts where Tooie is better.
Mr Blijhoofd
ah no Tooie is much cooler than kazooi
Bcleal
Kazooie is a much better game bc its the original and i dont like all the backtracking in Tooie.
NinjaKiwiVI
I love them both, but I picked Kazooie since I like more of the levels in that game than the second one.
gatorbait
I see a lot of people felt the same way I did. As much as I still enjoy Tooie and it is a bargain of a game on the marketplace, Kazooie is the better game in my opinion. I expect a little challenge in games but Tooie became overwhelming and frustrating at times with the size of the levels and the amount of backtracking. There were times I would check a guide and still not remember exactly which area they were referring to.
Tankore
I had both for the N64 and have tooie for the XBLA. It's not that tooie is better than kazooie but it was on sale and also i belive that it had more content than the first one.
njdevils17
I'd get Tooie. It will keep you occupied longer and I found the levels to be more fun and the jiggies to be more challenging to obtain. However, if you're going to get both, play Kazooie first and then Tooie. Jidehem1993
I first played Tooie (on N64) and something was missing. Still, if think Tooie is much more fun (and funny) than Kazooie.
