http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/+3tf8Q==.jpg Pin Win 30:gsicon:

Win a game in Bowling

Simply win your first game of Bowling. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. If you’re really rubbish, just ask your friend to let you win.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/+FxL-w==.jpg Neon Lanes Champion 10:gsicon:

Win a game in Bowling (Champion difficulty)

This requires you to win a game of bowling on Champion Difficulty. As the name suggests, it is rather challenging, especially for 10:gsicon: as your opponent regularly hits strikes and spares. A lot of practice is advised before tackling this Achievement, ensuring that you can consistently hit plenty of strikes, as you will need them if you want any chance of winning. A good stance always helps, with one foot behind the other and the shoulder you’ll be throwing with slightly back (as if you were actually bowling). Line up the ball with the centre arrow, bring the ball back and release, leaning forward slightly but remembering to keep your arm straight, or else the ball will curve.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/+byzbA==.jpg Doing the Splits 15:gsicon:

Clear a split in Bowling

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. This requires you to knock down a split of any kind. A split occurs when the headpin is knocked down, but a group of two or more non-adjacent (not next to each other) pins are left. If you are unsure, the game will announce whether or not you have obtained a split or not. The best way to knock these down is to approach one pin at an angle, and put spin on the ball so that once it’s knocked down one pin, it will spin back and hit the other. As always, practice makes perfect with this Achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/+gJerQ==.jpg Wood Chipper 15:gsicon:

Break the lane with a high ball in Bowling

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online, however I advise going for this Achievement in a single-player game without the computer, or a multiplayer game with a friend, where you don’t have to worry about a score etc. Basically, rather than bowling properly, this Achievement requires you to attempt to bowl overarm and smash the ball down onto the lane. It may take a few attempts, either to actually get Kinect to recognise your overarm bowl or for it not to just fly out of your hand, but once it smashes, it’ll roll a little bit and the Achievement will pop.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/+CNXGA==.jpg Turkey Triumph 15:gsicon:

Get a Turkey (3 strikes in a row) in Bowling

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. This requires you to bowl three strikes in a row, known in Bowling as a ‘Turkey’. It will take a bit of practice, but once you get consistent at scoring strikes it’ll come easily. Try and keep a straight arm and bowl straight down the center, putting as much power on your shot as possible without making the ball spin. See “Neon Lanes Champion” for a more detailed technique on bowling strikes.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/+cOviw==.jpg Ball Blitz 15:gsicon:

Score 350 or more in the Pin Rush Bowling mini-game

This will require a bit of patience and practice. The aim of this minigame is to knock down as many pins as possible within the time limit. You get 60 seconds on the clock to begin with, and a subsequent 5 seconds for every 30 pins you knock down. You can pick up two balls at once, but a new frame of pins will only be added once the previous frame has been cleared. One of the best techniques to use here is a ‘windmill’, where you stretch both arms out straight, pick up both balls at the same time, then ‘windmill’ them forward so they finish straight. The balls will continue to flow, so just stretch your arms out horizontally again and keep the action going. After a bit of practice, you’ll achieve your target of 350+.

I have included a video below to illustrate:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/-GFEcg==.jpg Clear Up! 25:gsicon:

Score 10 or more in the One Bowl Roll Bowling mini-game

The “One Ball Roll” minigames is exactly as the name describes. You only get one ball to roll per frame, and you have to use it to knock down the pins that you are given. You only have to clear 10 frames to net this Achievement, and have 5 chances to mess up. It is not as difficult as it sounds, just take your time and throw as straight and with as much power as possible at the center of the pins. There are a few “split” shots here, especially towards the end, requiring you to hit one, or two and have the pin bounce towards another. Unlike the other bowling minigames, you aren’t timed, so you can take your time in lining up your shot. Try and avoid using too much spin here if possible, and remember to use the blue lights on the lanes as a guide for positioning yourself.

Score more than 250 in Bowling

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. This will no doubt come through natural progression of improving in skill in Bowling. If you don’t have it before facing the Champion, you may get it when you face them. It is by no means a perfect score, so don’t be worried if you mess up a little here and there, just try and keep consistently throwing spares and strikes and this will come easily. See “Neon Lanes Champion” for a suggested technique on bowling strikes.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/-6C1VA==.jpg And the Winner is… 30:gsicon:

Win a match in Boxing

Simply win your first game of Boxing. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. If you’re really rubbish, just ask your friend to let you win.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPleUL0=.jpg Tornado Gardens Champion 10:gsicon:

Win a match in Boxing (Champion difficulty)

Patience and timing are the keys to winning here. Just throwing wild punches may work on lower difficulty opponents, but against the Champion it’ll just result in blocks and stuns, which aren’t good. Combos work well, following one punch with another but as soon as your opponent begins to block, withdraw and play on the defensive side yourself or else you risk getting up their power bar. Remember that it’s a game; exaggerated movements work best. If you’re going for an uppercut, for example, really throw an upwards punch so that the game actually reads it as an uppercut. When blocking, try not to keep your hands too close together, just to make sure that Kinect reads it as a block, so that you’re not caught off guard thinking you’ve blocked when Kinect’s read it as something else. While stuns are your worst nightmare, they’re also your best friend. Once you’ve made a few blocks and got up your power bar, go for a wide hook shot. If it connects, it’ll daze your opponent for a few seconds allowing you to go crazy with the punches without worrying about a counter-attack or a block. Bear in mind the technique mentioned below in “Stunning Recovery” in case you’re subject to a stun yourself. No matter how you win the match, whether it be a KO, TKO or from a technicality at the end, once you win the Achievement should pop.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPi+qC4=.jpg TKO 15:gsicon:

Win a match with a technical knockout (3 knock downs in 1 round) in Boxing.

You have to knock your opponent out three times in a single round. If they’re not all in the same round, they won’t count. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty (although obviously lower is easier) or against a friend locally or online. If you’re playing a friend, just have them sit back until you knock them out, then have them punch the stars that are floating around their head so that they can get back up again. Repeat another two times. You should win the game by a technical knockout and your Achievement should pop.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPqfoZs=.jpg Kiss the Canvas 15:gsicon:

Knock down your opponent with an uppercut in Boxing

An uppercut is simply a punch thrown upwards, towards the chin. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty (although obviously lower is easier) or against a friend locally or online. The aim is to get your opponents health down to the red, then focus on throwing all your punches in a vertical, upwards motion towards your opponents chin. You should knock them out with an uppercut, and your Achievement should pop. Obviously, if you’re going to do this with a friend, you can just have them stand and do nothing.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPt-WQg=.jpg Comeback Kid 15:gsicon:

Win a match after being knocked down 4 times in Boxing

This can either be done against a computer on amateur difficulty or higher (as the computer on beginner difficulty does not know how to knock you out), or against a friend locally or online. For this, you need to be knocked out 4 times in a boxing match, and then go on to win it. Due to technical knock outs however, you can only be knocked out twice per round (in rounds 1 and 2), or else you will lose by default. Once you have been knocked out, you will have to hit a selection of stars that circle around your head, which increase with difficulty the more times you get knocked out. Once you’ve recovered from your fourth knockout, you need to knock your opponent out without being knocked out again yourself. If you’re doing this with a friend, just let them knock you out four times, only reacting to hit the stars, then after four knock outs, knock them out and have them do nothing.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP7dsvE=.jpg Stunning Recovery 15:gsicon:

Survive a stun sequence without being hit in Boxing (Professional or Champion difficulty)

This has to be done against either a professional, or champion difficulty opponent, although naturally professional will be easier. You will notice a ‘power bar’ beneath yours and your opponent’s health. Throw some punches at your opponent while they’re blocking in order to charge this bar up, and then once the three segments have been lit up, stop guarding and let them stun you. You will know that you’re stunned because you will no longer be able to hear the crowd. You will then need to try and read the computers movements for about 5 seconds by blocking all of its punches. If it ducks slightly, chances are it’s going for a low shot, and if it’s stood tall, it’s probably going for a high shot. Block these shots (you should only have to block 2 or 3) and if you haven’t taken a hit, the Achievement should pop.

Win a match in Football

Simply win your first game of Football. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. If you’re really rubbish, just ask your friend to let you win.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP0cQ9c=.jpg Lotus Park Champion 10:gsicon:

Win a match in Football (Champion difficulty)

The key here is possession. The longer you keep the ball without losing it, the less chance the computer has of taking the ball and scoring. When you’re passing the ball around, remember to pass into space. If a player is marked and you pass to them, they will more likely than not, get tackled and you will become subject to a counter-attack. Try and shoot when you feel confident that you’ll get the shot on target, as the more goals you can score, the better. Try and build up a good lead, and if you keep up the offense you may even get “Golden Boots” at the same time. When it comes to defending, make yourself as big as possible as the computers favour passing to the side, not between your legs, and this means you’ll have to move less to block passes. If the computer does get a chance to shoot, try and adopt the stance mentioned for “Golden Gloves” and bear in mind that with it being Champion difficulty, there will be a fair bit of stretching for the tricky corner shots. After the match is finished, if you’ve beaten your opponent, then your Achievement will unlock.

Score a perfect hat-trick (1 header, 1 left foot and 1 right foot goal) in a match in Football

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. It requires you to score three goals, one with your left foot, one with your right foot and one with your head. Obviously, the one with each foot should be pretty easy to do, as you simply need to get the ball into some space where you can shoot, and take a crack at it. Once you’ve scored with one foot, use the other. For a header, however, you need to get the ball into a position where it can be crossed; either attempt to cross the ball (which sometimes works, and sometimes doesn’t depending on your position). The best way to score your header is to get a corner and to cross it in that way. Keep an eye out for a marker to appear by your head, as this will indicate that you are able to header the ball. Position yourself by the marker, so that when the balls crossed in, you can header it. Hopefully, after all three goals you should have netted yourself the Achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP-br0o=.jpg … It Is Now! 15:gsicon:

Win a match by scoring a goal in the last 10 seconds in Football

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. This should come through natural progression with football, as you will constantly be trying to score goals up until the last second. Just keep intercepting your opponents passes and keep passing your ball around the field until you opportunity to shoot arises. The goal can be scored by any means, whether it is a shot, header or even a penalty. If you’re worried about taking your time to net this and being tackled, simply play against a friend and ask them to let you score at the end without any opposition.

Scare the bird from the crossbar using the ball in Football

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. This one should occur through natural gameplay, however here are a few tips to ensure that you get it. This can be If you’re trying to The seagull seems to perch on the upper-left of the goalpost, so aiming in the top left hand corner seems to work best. Bear in mind however that he will not always be there, so keep an eye out when shooting to ensure that if he’s there, that you get him. To scare him, you can either score a goal or miss; it doesn’t matter which as long as the ball travels in his general direction, enough to be deemed a threat!

Score 100 or more in the Super Saver Football mini-game

This minigames is exactly as the name suggests. It will require you to be in goal and block shots. Like with some of the other minigames, it is life-based, so you have a few chances to mess up; it doesn’t have to be perfect. Like with all other Kinect football matches, a ball prompt will appear to let you know where the striker will be shooting, and you must use your body to cover the shot. A good stance to adopt is like an actual goalkeeper; legs slightly apart, arms bent at a 90° to the side. This should leave you with minimum movements needing to be made, simply a few small side to side movements and a lot of up and down movements with your arms. Try to avoid using your feet, as tempting as it might be, as it can throw you off balance a little. Be warned, the further you advance, the faster the striker will shoot, however if you save lots of shots in a row, you will be rewarded with an extra life, so you should easily have enough for a score of 100+.

I have included a video below to illustrate.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP+ks60=.jpg Sharp Shooter 25:gsicon:

Score 80 or more in the Target Kick Football mini-game

A series of targets will appear behind the goalkeeper in the goal. You have 40 seconds on the clock to clear as many targets as possible. This Achievement is actually not as difficult as it seems, provided that you can use both feet to strike a ball with. There is very little delay from one ball to the next so keep shooting, as the quicker you clear each set of targets, the more time you’ll have left for the next set. Also, for each set you clear, the game will reward you with a 5 second bonus. If the goalkeeper gets in the way, just strike one ball in the opposite side of the net, then the next at the target at they have no chance of saving it then as they’re on the wrong side of the goal. Just keep firing as quick and as accurate shots as possible and you should get this Achievement with very little hassle.

I have included a video below to illustrate:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP5ESz4=.jpg Golden Boots 15:gsicon:

Score 5 goals or more in a match in Football (Professional or Champion difficulty)

Once again, this is not actually as difficult as it seems, as long as you can keep up the shots. Quick reactions are a key here, so that you can pick your passes relatively quickly before the computer has time to react to them. Try and, like you would in a real game, pass to someone in space – especially when it comes to shooting as you’ll have a little bit more time to place your shot. If you lose the ball and have to defend, spread yourself out and make yourself as big as possible. The computer favours passing either side of you, rather than trying to pass between your legs, so the more spread out you are, the easier it is to cover these sides without having to sidestep too much. With a bit of patience, this one should come over time. Obviously, playing a professional difficulty opponent will be easier, but this could come just as easily against a Champion difficulty opponent, as you will need to score to much as possible and keep the ball away from them as much as possible in order to win.

Simply win your first game of Table Tennis. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. If you’re really rubbish, just ask your friend to let you win.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPoGWFQ=.jpg Blade Center Champion 10:gsicon:

Win a match in Table Tennis (Champion difficulty)

Try and play the match like you would a real table tennis match. Remember that the game registers when you put spin on the ball, and it is trick shots like these combined with attempting to make the computer stretch to the other side of the table, like mentioned below in “Roll Them Over”, that will help you on your way to victory. Take note of the shots that your opponents play to try and counter them accordingly, as your opponents can put spin on the balls too which will cause them to be returned differently eg. a shot with back spin will be slower, meaning you will have to wait longer before returning it, and a top spin shot will need to be hit earlier than a normal one. With a bit of practice, this Achievement should be yours.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPgnUeE=.jpg Roll Them Over 15:gsicon:

Force your opponent to roll 3 times in a match when reaching for the ball in Table Tennis

This is another Achievement that sounds a lot more difficult than it actually is. Simply return three balls to the opposite corner of the table to which you returned it last. For example; if you’ve just played it to the left, return it to the far right. This will cause the computer to roll in an attempt to reach it. These rolls do not have to be consecutive, as long as all three are achieved during a single match. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPtMYBQ=.jpg To the Left, to the Right 15:gsicon:

Win 2 games, one with each hand in Table Tennis

There are a number of ways you can achieve this. The game simply requires you to win 2 games, one with your left hand and one with your right hand. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online.

  • You can either attempt to do it yourself, against a computer on a low difficulty if you are confident using both hands.
  • You could have a friend let you win if you know that you can’t use one hand as well as the other.
  • You could beat your opponent with your preferred hand, then have a friend step in and play the second match using the hand that you’re not so good with.

No matter how you choose to win, simply win 2 games, one using each hand, and the Achievement should unlock.

Win a match with a smash in Table Tennis

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online.Simply when it is match point for you, win the point with a smash. This can only be attempted when the ball is lobbed in the air. Try and move closer to the table and wait for the ball to come down a bit before swinging hard to smash the ball. Placement is crucial, as you should try and smash it to the opposite side to where the computer is stood, or they may be able to return it and you’ll have to wait for another opportunity.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPiNkTI=.jpg Return to Sender 25:gsicon:

Score 60 or more in the Rally Tally Table Tennis mini-game

This is actually one of the more difficult Achievements to obtain, as you need to resist the urge to just smash the ball. Direction and placement is the key here. There is no time limit, however your opponent will begin to return the ball faster and faster as you approach the needed score of 60+. The best way to approach this is simply to return the ball in as straight a line as possible back to the computer, so that it goes directly to them, rather than forcing them to move for it, which can cause them to miss and the rally to end. Just keep persevering and don’t let the pressure get to you. Stay focused, and this Achievement should be yours.

I have included a video below to illustrate:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPltaaE=.jpg Paddle Perfection 25:gsicon:

Score 150 or more in the Paddle Panic Table Tennis mini-game

This isn’t actually as difficult as it sounds, although it will take a bit of practice and the ability to use both hands accurately to return the balls. You have 45 seconds to return 150 balls, which will be passed to you on both sides of the table. You only need to return them, but it doesn’t matter where on the table you return them, as long as they bounce on the opposing side. For every 5 balls you hit, you’ll get a 2 second time bonus. Holding your arms out at a slight angle, like the goalkeeper stance mentioned in “Golden Gloves” will help here, as you will only need to make small hand movements to return the balls, rather than huge wind up smashes. You may need to employ the “windmill technique” mentioned earlier for “Ball Blitz”. Keep returning the balls until you’ve scored 150+ and this Achievement will be yours.

Win a match conceding no points in Table Tennis (Professional or Champion difficulty)

Slightly more difficult in some respects than simply beating your opponent, as this Achievement requires you to win with a score of 11-0, playing against a Professional or Champion difficulty opponent. Obviously playing the Professional difficulty opponent will be much easier. See “Blade Center Champion” for tips on how to win, and on returning certain trick shots. If you can win the game 11-0, without conceding a single point, then the Achievement is yours.

Win a full contest in Track & Field

Simply win your first game of Track & Field. This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. If you’re really rubbish, just ask your friend to let you win. You do not need to win every single event, simply win overall. You earn points based upon your position and score, so if you do a lot better than the computers in any event, you can expect a lot more points. This can compensate for any weak events you may have.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP8Oc34=.jpg Flame Stadium Champion 20:gsicon:

Win a full contest in Track & Field (Champion difficulty)

This is probably one of the most physically demanding Achievements, as there will be a fair bit of running on the spot and throwing going on here. With it being Champion difficulty, you will be really pushed to the limits to do as well as you can in each and every event. Remember that you do not have to come first in every single event, as winning is based on your total points for the whole contest. This should not be attempted until you are confident that you can at the very least break each world record, as this is the best way to rack up as many points as possible. Winning is obviously the most secure way to get this, although a close second or third will keep any point difference between you and your opponents to a minimum, meaning there’s less chance of them overtaking you after possibly one of your weaker events.

  • 100m – Remember, the game reads high knees as running fast, so try and move those knees and quickly and as high as possible. A boost start and boost finish always helps too. See “Turbo Pants”
  • Javelin – Get a good run up, and throw at a good angle, around 60/70° (depending on what works best for you) to get a good mix of enough height for it to travel well when it begins to dip and plenty of power and distance to make it go further. Remember, you get three attempts at this, and they select your best, so as long as you get one good solid throw in, it doesn’t matter as much if you mess up afterwards. If you can hit the electrical equipment at the back, then you should have no problems here. See “Circuit Breaker”
  • Long Jump – A good technique to employ here is the one mentioned in “Windmill Wonder” as you seem to go further. Get a good, quick run-up and jump as soon as the path goes green. Kinect has a slight delay, so this should prevent you running over and fowling. If you get a good run-up, and a good jump, you should get a good distance. Windmilling your arms while in mid-air seems to significantly improve the distance too, if done correctly. Obviously, the further the better. This may take a bit of practice to get right.
  • Discus – Unlike the Javelin, you are not required to do a run-up. Simply stand with your throwing arm outstretched and bent slightly at the elbow. Keep your legs straight and pivot your body about your waist. Keep your arm at the angle you wish to throw at, and when you pivot your body back, pivot your arm back by your shoulder. Pivot both forward at the same time, with a good deal of force and hopefully you should get a good throw. Like with the javelin, you get three attempts at this, so as long as you get at least one decent throw, it doesn’t matter as much if you mess up in the other two.
  • Hurdles – Speed and timing are everything here. You will need to be quick off the line and quick in the running parts. You will need space here to ensure that you can jump without bumping your head, or head butting the light, as believe me, it’s very off-putting… As you approach the hurdle, it will turn through orange to green. Jump as soon as the hurdle turns green and you should clear it without loosing any speed. Keep this up until you’ve cleared the last hurdle, then treat the final straight like the 100m sprint, putting as much energy as possible into getting as quick a time as possible.

Hopefully, those tips as well as any personal techniques that work for you, will help you bag your Achievement by the end of this very tiresome track & field event!

Gain a boost start and boost finish in 100m

This is best done on a low difficulty to begin with, until you get the hang of it. Once you’ve mastered it however, it is invaluable to winning the 100m, especially on Champion difficulty. Simply begin the race like an actual runner, crouched slightly, with one foot infront of the other, arms posed to run. You will know if you get a boost start because you will have tunnel vision, and it will look slightly blurry as you boost. When it comes to finishing, just before the line, lean forward like athletes do and you will boost finish. If you’ve done it correctly, the Achievement should pop.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP3Jn+M=.jpg Circuit Breaker 20:gsicon:

Break some electrical equipment within the stadium in Javelin

For this Achievement, you have to hit a piece of electrical equipment on the field with your javelin. Unfortunately, the equipment at the side, constituting a fowl throw does not count. The equipment in question is right at the back of the field, and you will need to throw a minimum of 105m in order to be able to hit it. Get a good run up and a good strong throw at a good angle; keeping consistent when you get close. This will take a bit of practice, but keep at it.

Perform a windmill manoeuvre in Long Jump

This is probably best done when score doesn’t matter, until you get it right, and it is also probably best done in private, as you are guaranteed to look like an idiot in front of your friends doing this. Simply run up, and jump as normal. Then while in mid-air spin your arms like windmills. It will feel strange, granted, but it can really get you some much needed distance if done properly. If you land it correctly, the Achievement should pop.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP+XirE=.jpg Dire Distance 20:gsicon:

Throw the discus less than 4 meters in Discus

Like with “Windmill Wonder” this is probably best done when score doesn’t matter. The best way to do this is to throw the discus with very little power at a very high angle, so that it arcs upwards, but doesn’t have enough power to travel very far. If it comes down, very pathetically, and lands with a score of less than 4 meters, your Achievement should pop.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP22gwQ=.jpg Juggernaut 20:gsicon:

Win a race after knocking down every hurdle in Hurdles

Simply treat the hurdles like a sprint, and ignore each and every hurdle. Don’t bother jumping at all, just run as fast as possible and crash into each and every hurdle. This is best done against computers on a low difficulty, as they will be quite slow and thus easy to beat. If you finish the race in 1st place, after knocking down every single hurdle, the Achievement will be yours.

Win a match of Volleyball (Champion difficulty)

There are various ways to try and beat the Champion difficulty AI. Blocking, see “Networking” for how to do this, is a good tip to get yourself a bit more breathing room, although it can give way to smash shots, so vary it a bit and don’t always block. Stretching yourself out and making yourself as big as possible when the ball is coming towards you is useful, because then you will only need to make small movements in order to be able to hit the ball. Ensure you have plenty of space to jump around for smash shots, as you don’t want to be hitting the ceiling or light. Placement, like with the other Champion difficulty opponents is crucial. Don’t just smash it straight at them, smash it into some open space and make them work for it. If you smash it straight at them, they’re a lot more likely to be able to return it than if they have to move into open space. Remember too that Kinect likes exaggerated movements, so if you want to hit it to the left, really exaggerate your arm movement to the left to make it go there. Finally, bear in mind that there are various methods of serving. You don’t have to wait for the ball to come back down to you; you can jump up and hit it when it’s still in the air. Try mixing this up, and placing your serves to make the computer work. Incorporate all these tips, and if you win the match, the Achievement will be yours.

Score a point from a perfect bump, set & super spike in Volleyball

This can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. Obviously a computer on a lower difficulty will be easier. Basically, you have to do a perfect three part play to score a point. The “bump” is when you first hit the ball after it coming over the net from the opponent. The “set” is the second time it is hit, and this is when it’s played into the air. Finally, the spike is the power shot that plays it back over the net. Timing is everything here, so keep practicing until you get it right. Remember that you need to score a point from it. If you’re playing against a friend, you could always have them purposely miss so that you get the point and subsequently the Achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPo1YUg=.jpg Look, No Hands! 15:gsicon:

Score a point by heading or kicking the ball in open play in Volleyball

This is another extremely easy Achievement to obtain and one that can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. When your opposition plays you a ball, a pink hand icon will appear on screen where the ball is going to. Rather than using your hand, get your head or your foot into that position and have the ball bounce off that. If you can score a point from using your head, or foot, then the Achievement is yours. If you are playing against a friend, you can always have them purposely miss the ball that you’ve headed or kicked in order to get the Achievement.

Perform a block move (by jumping at the net) in Volleyball

Once again, another extremely easy Achievement to obtain and one that can either be done against a computer on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. At some point during the match, a ball will be played over the net. If your avatar is at the front, by the net, when the pink two handed prompt appears over the net, jump to block the ball from going over. If you time it right, the Achievement will be yours.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UPwjYcU=.jpg Body Brilliant 25:gsicon:

Score 85 or more in the Body Ball Volleyball mini-game

Thankfully, nowhere near as difficult as it’s fellow volleyball Achievement “Bump-osaurus”, this Achievement requires you simply to hit 85 balls that are thrown at you. However, you will have to do so with various body parts; your head, hands and feet. The computer will announce which body part you should use, as well as a picture appearing on screen. If it wants you to use your head, it’ll be green, if it wants you to use your hands it’ll be pink and if it wants you to use your feet it’ll be blue. It will gradually get faster, with more objects flying across your screen, requiring you to concentrate even harder on which ball to hit with what, but after hitting a certain number they will slow down, only to increase again later. Like with “Bump-osaurus” your lives do not increase. Try keeping your body straight, with your arms by your sides when they’re not in use so they don’t accidentally hit anything they shouldn’t. It will take a lot of concentration and patience, but if you manage to hit 85+, then the Achievement will be yours.

I have included a video below to illustrate:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/UP4CaHA=.jpg Bump-osaurus 25:gsicon:

Score 130 or more in the Bump Bash Volleyball mini-game

This is by far the most difficult Achievement in Kinect Sports. The aim here is to avoid all of the objects being thrown at you, and you will be prompted with a large red circle as to where they are going to arrive. You are not timed, but unlike some of the other minigames, if you get hit you do not get your lives back. Every 40 or so objects you dodge will cause the items to slow down, however, and give you a bit of breathing space. A good tip, and quite possibly one of the only tips here, is to stay in the middle as much as possible, making small movements to either side to dodge objects. This will allow you to get back to the middle after you’ve dodged some, and being in the middle gives you free roam of choosing either side to dodge, which is better than being confined to a corner. Keep persevering with this one, as it is difficult, but with a bit of practice and perseverance, this Achievement will be yours.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/5-ngWRo=.jpg Pew Pew Pew! 25:gsicon:

Scored 360 or more in the Pinvaders Bowling mini-game

This is like a cross between bowling and space invaders. The pins are on a conveyor belt, in lines of 5 pins, and these will gradually move towards where you're stood. The idea here is to try and unleash the balls so that the knock down as many pins as possible using one ball at a time, because unlike with some of the other bowling minigames, the balls aren't indefinately spawning and actually have a "respawn" time, so use them wisely. Focus on one side with each ball and alternate between bowling down these lines. Accuracy is far more important than speed here. Bear in mind, though, that if any pin manages to reach the end boundary, the game will end, so ensure that you keep the pins as far back as possible at all times.

I have included a video below to illustrate:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/5-4WoQQ=.jpg Invasion Thwarted 30:gsicon:

Knocked down 50 pins or more in 4 seconds in the Pinvaders Bowling mini-game

This will likely take a few tries to get right, but it's actually pretty easy to get when you've got a good technique going on. As mentioned in "Pew Pew Pew" the pins will be on a conveyor belt coming toward you. The idea here is listen to the music which will indicate when the pins are going to speed up, like the alien ships in space invaders. The idea is to wait and time it, so that you unleash both balls at the same time. Aim for one side, rather than straight down the middle, as this should, if done correctly, only leave one line of pins rather than two either side. If you've timed it right, you should get your 50+ pins in under 4 seconds and but then the remaining pins will then reach the boundary that ends the game, so be warned.

Scored 12 or more in the King of the Ring Boxing mini-game

This involves KO-ing 12 opponents within the mini-games time limit. It's actually a lot easier than it sounds, and one of the best methods of doing this is by employing an uppercut windmill technique, where you just throw uppercut after uppercut at your opponents. This technique works because no matter how your opponent blocks, you'll still get some hits in - then once they're dazed, you get let off a stronger uppercut to finish them off without having to change motions.

I've included a video below to illustrate: (it also contains a guide for the 'Wild Rush' Achievement)

Hit 3 or more consecutive smashes in the Target Smash Table Tennis mini-game

This can be acquired whilst gaining the 'Target Teaser' Achievement. You need to hit the same target three times in order to earn yourself a smash. This isn't as difficult as it sounds, it just requires you to build up your smash shots. Once you've acquired one smash, use it to uncover a '3' and two '2's. From there, hit the '3' and attempt to smash both '2's and then the '3's underneath. If you don't quite manage it, try again, until you've built up a minimum of three 'smash' shots. Then, unleash them, one after the other to alternating sides of the table to ensure they hit - putting power behind your swing to make sure it's counted as a 'smash' and not just a return.

I have included a video below to illustrate: (it also contains a guide for the 'Target Teaser' Achievement)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/5-u0Sv0=.jpg Kilometer King 25:gsicon:

Scored 1000 or more in the Rapid Runner Track & Field mini-game

Ensure that your Kinect sensor is placed in such a place that it can pick up the movement of your knees, otherwise this Achievement can be made a lot more difficult than it needs to be. Remember that whilst you're timed, you don't actually need to run quickly; bear in mind that the game registers speed by how high your knees are, so the higher you can raise your knees the better. You're timed here, so it's simply a measure of speed and endurance. The green "rest" zones while giving you a slight time bonus will slow you down significantly if you choose to stop running here. One very useful tip to remember is that you can keep your controller handy and just hit the Xbox button to pause the game if you feel like you need to take a break, and you can then come back to it when you're feeling up to it. Stretch beforehand, don't overexert yourself, and please don't do yourself an injury!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/5-iTXvM=.jpg Fruit Machine 25:gsicon:

Scored 50 or more in the Fruit Splatter Volleyball mini-game

This is actually an incredibly easy Achievement to obtain. Like with "Body Brilliant" you will have objects thrown at you that you have to hit, although in the case of this minigame, it's fruit. You only have one life, however, so be careful. In reality though, you can miss as much of the fruit as you like and it will not cause you to lose a life, so simply take it nicely and slowly and focus on the bombs that will be thrown at you, which will be marked with a red circle. Avoid these at all costs as these will cause you to lose a life. If you manage to hit 50 pieces of fruit, without hitting a single bomb, this rather easy Achievement will be yours.

I have included a video below to illustrate:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1516/5-h1u9s=.jpg Target Teaser 25:gsicon:

Scored 130 or more in the Target Smash Table Tennis mini-game

The aim of this Achievement is to score 130 or more points in the minigame. You will be presented with a line of moving targets, each starting with the number '1'. Everytime you hit a target, it will 'smash' and the number will get bigger - meaning more points - and then after you hit the '3' you will smash the block completely. However, in doing so you will earn yourself a 'smash' shot which is invaluable in obtaining this Achievement, as you will need a lot of them in order to rack up this 130 point score. Once you use a 'smash', it will turn the block you hit into a '3' and the ones either side of it into a '2'. The more higher numbers you end up with on the table, the better, as you'll be able to earn more points. Keep hitting the '3's and alternating sides, hitting the blocks on the side where they are leaving normally, and saving your smashes for the new blocks when they enter. With a bit of practice at alternating sides, using both forehand and backhand, this should be no trouble at all.

This is a very easy Achievement to obtain. After a few hits, you will dizzy your opponent while playing King of the Ring. Just keep landing quick, jabby punches with both fists. Try and cut out the power shots for now, as quick, jabby punches work better and the Achievement should be yours first time round.

You will have balls thrown at you, marked with orange targets on the screen, and you will have to get any part of your body that's available behind it to hit it. Watch out for the red ones though, as these will be boots and will cause you to lose a life. You have three lives, and will lose one for either missing the ball or being hit with a boot. As with most of these Achievements, perseverance is crucial as this one will definately take a few attempts at to get right.

This is more difficult than some of the target shooting minigames as you have no real control of direction. A ball will be thrown into you and you have to get your body behind it to get it into the net. A good technique here seems to be attempting to bump and push with your body slightly to get more power behind it, as the goalkeeper seems to struggle to save these shots. Keep persevering with this one, as until you find what technique works for you this could be a while in coming.

Very good achievement guide. A tip for the 360 bowling pins in the Pin Rush mini game is to practice and get the strength to swing your arms round and round like circles. Make sure you do it fast as well. Doing this method I recently got 388, it's not hard when you know the technique.

Excellent guide, well done! Just one suggestion, during long jump, you definitely do want to swing your arms in a windmill fashion. It will make you go further. Also, you don't do it when you're running, you do it when you are in mid-air. Thanks for putting up a guide, I can see a lot of effort has gone into it, so kudos to you.

Invasion Thwarted30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.pngKnocked down 50 pins or more in 4 seconds in the Pinvaders Bowling mini-game

For this, don't roll the bowling balls at the start until the "PIN PANIC" is about to happen. Once it is about to come out with more pins, try and roll both balls into the middle of two lanes (Which will know down both of the lanes hopefully) Do this and you will surely get the achievement!

You can pause the game in the middle of it to get more rest. Be sure to pause it in rest zones and to keep controller in your hand! This makes it a little easier but it still it difficult!

Whenever you're in a target, try to "push" the ball into the goal or direction you want it to go. This will make the goalie less likely to block your shot. Do this ten times in a row and the achievement is yours!

Well thank you very much, and I really appreciate your tips. I shall check them out and see how well they work!

Which running one?

I think he meant the "Kilometer King" one.

And @HJO1403, unfortunately I don't quite think that's possible, haha.

Great work with the main guide and credit for getting a quick start on the dlc!

(I didnt even realize there was dlc until I saw this lol)

Haha, thanks bud. And yeah, well since the DLC was released at practically the same time as the game, I thought it best to do both. Since the DLC is free, most people will be getting it anyways, so why not put up the Guide for it too?

tip for all boxing guides,

I found it really difficult to get comeback kid, biff sock kapow! etc. until I found a glitch on youtube where you trundle your arms like a 60's nightclub (dont do with m8s)

It is really effective especially on beginner

this video is bad quality but its really easy to grasp the idea

Cheers mate. I'll give it a go, see how it works and see if I can find a better quality video for putting in the guide.
