RadiantViper
Survivor Missions DLC Achievement Guide Introduction: After only 11 months, the DLC for Dark Void is finally fixed! This add-on features two missions in a brand new score-based mode. Getting combos and using the right multipliers are key here, as well as lost of practice. The top score achievements are challenging, but with persistence I believe anyone can get them. Copyright/Terms of Use: This guide may not be used or reproduced without my permission. Usage of this guide on a site I have not given permission to is not allowed. Overview: -Estimated achievement difficulty: 7/10 (Mainly due to Top Ace) -Offline: 10 (250http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif) -Online: 0 (0http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif) -Approximate amount of time to 250http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg: 4-10 hours (varies highly based on skill/practice needed) -Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 for each mission, will definitely take more -Number of missable achievements: None -Do cheat codes disable achievements? None -Does difficulty affect achievements? No -Glitchy achievements: None -Unobtainable achievements: None http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/+9gYxw==.jpg Freedom Fighter 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete a wave in any Survivor Mission Pretty self explanatory - complete the first wave in either mission. In Battle of Ghen Crag, you have to contend with a few Pawns and some Sergeants near the end, use your mini-map to keep track of what side they're coming from. In Abyss Cannon, there's just a handful of UFO ships, should be easy even if your skills are a bit rusty. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-u0Njo=.jpg Adept 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete any survivor mission You need to finish all 10 waves in either mission. Battle of Ghen Crag is the easier of the two maps, so you'll probably want to do that one first. If you just want this achievement, don't bother turning on any score multiplying modifiers, and it will be a breeze. Remember in Ghen Crag that different defense points are attacked on different waves, so make sure to move if necessary. In Abyss Canyon, take out the Archon in Wave 5 as soon as possible so it doesn't decimate the friendly battleships. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-3XLOU=.jpg Blood Bath 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Rack up a killing spree bonus of 33x Can be gained on either map, but it will be easier on Ghen Crag. Getting a kill ups the multiplier by 1, and in-between kills there's a short timer. When it runs out, the multiplier lowers by 1. Your combo stays in between waves as well. Since it's possible to get combos up above 90 and 100, this one shouldn't be too bad even if you're not the best at the game. I found the Reclaimer (sniper rifle) to be the best all around weapon, remember it does more damage when scoped. Remember where the red ammo boxes are for each defense point are (they respawn fairly quickly) so you're always topped up on ammo. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-w31HY=.jpg Bulletproof 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.pngComplete a wave in a survivor mission without taking damage Choose the Abyss Canyon map, and soon as you start out head over to the UFOs and hijack one, obviously being careful to not get shot by the gunner. Continue the wave as normal - any damage taken inside a UFO does not count against this achievement (but try not to take too much or else it will blow up). (Credit to hahaha_mnky_boy) http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-4W3cM=.jpg Speedster 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete any survivor mission in under 35 minutes Once again, Battle of Ghen Crag is probably the better choice for this one. While it is not needed to get this achievement, it would be helpful to turn on the 'Time Press' modifier to help motivate you to go as fast as possible. Be aggressive but make sure to stay smart and try to flank around cover. Using the Reclaimer and Oppressor is a good combo, long range and high damage with the Reclaimer + basic gunfighting with the Oppressor. Just be quick moving from stage to stage and changing direction as enemies come from each corner. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5--2JVA=.jpg Spirit of Tesla 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Upgrade a weapon to stage 3 in a survivor mission You can upgrade either between waves or at the weapon locker on either map (it's marked on the mini-map and shown on your HUD). To make this one even easier, make sure to not turn on the 'Low Tech' modifier since it increases the cost for upgrades (but remember 'Low Tech' is a good option when going for high scores). However, you can also just get this one while doing your 4.5 million run in Abyss Canyon, since I recommend upgrading your jetpack twice for that. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-mVP48=.jpg Hero 15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete the Battle of Ghen Crag mission with 980,000 points See 'Epic Hero'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-zRMV4=.jpg Epic Hero 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete the Battle of Ghen Crag mission with 4.4 million points - I recommend using the modifiers 'Time Press', 'Low Tech', and 'Legend'. You can probably swap one of these out if you would prefer to not have one of their effects removed, but these are usually seen as the easiest. - Upgrading any weapons is not needed, and isn't recommended. Only do so if you swap out 'Low Tech' for a different modifier. - Use the Reclaimer (sniper rifle) and Oppressor (basic Watcher machine gun). Reclaimer for long range and high damage (remember, in scope is does more damage), and the Oppressor for basic firefights (since ammo is dropped by enemies). - Remember the locations of the red ammo boxes at each defense point (they respawn regularly). - Defense points are attacked one at a time, so don't worry about switching on the fly - they only change after completion of a wave. You'll get a soundbite from your allies and your mini-map marker will change. - You do NOT have to follow the HUD markers to get to point Delta - simply go up the mountain and there's a tunnel that leads all the way down. This saves a bit of time. - Past that, it's down to practice. Get kills as quickly as possible, and remember where each 'sub' wave attacks from. When the Knights show up (big flying guys), hide behind obstacles and pop out with your sniper rifle. And remember if you're low on health, don't worry about hiding and sacrificing a bit of your combo to get some health back - just try to be quick! RadiantViper
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-h1xxw=.jpg Ace 15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete the Abyss Canyon mission with 1 million points See 'Top Ace'. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/694/5-0xyc0=.jpg Top Ace 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete the Abyss Canyon mission with 4.5 million points An alternative method which is most likely quite a bit easier can be found here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showpost.php?p=3948019&postcount=6 Expanded guide, lots of good info: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showpost.php?p=4011624&postcount=11 (Note: A lot of these tips are courtesy of Phr4nk0 - major credit goes to him!) - I recommend using the modifiers 'Time Press', 'Low Tech', and 'Legend'. You can probably swap one of these out if you would prefer to not have one of their effects removed, but these are usually seen as the easiest. - The only thing you should upgrade is your jetpack. I upgraded it first after wave 3, and again after wave 6. - ALWAYS be firing your weapons - you could even rubberband the triggers if you like. It is not uncommon for one of your projectiles fired as you were turning to hit a stray enemy. This is especially noticeably with the missiles (second jetpack upgrade). - Holding LB makes the camera target the closest enemy. This is usually a hindrance when actually trying to shoot them, but is very helpful for finding an enemy and turning towards them (so let go of LB when you're aimed near them). - Clicking both sticks and hitting a direction pulls off an aerial maneuver - hitting them backwards does a u-turn which can be very helpful. - Never board a UFO. It's a waste of time and your jetpack is better. - Basically it comes down to killing as fast as possible, and practice a lot, especially if you're like me and were never very good at flying in this game. At the start of most waves the UFOs come from the same spot every time, boost straight at them head on, fingers on the triggers, go for the non shielded ones if they're there, you'll damage a bunch of them, and later when you have missiles even kill one or two straight away. Hit the breaks and circle round and start following one. Try to get behind UFOs and just follow it untill it's dead, I found that once you damage a UFO it starts targeting you a lot more. (Direct credit to Phr4nk0) - In wave 5, there is an Archon on a plateau. It will target your allied battleships with it's laser, which will decimate their health. ALWAYS go for it as soon as the wave starts - be careful as they can destroy you quickly as well. Shoot at the legs, make sure to boost past it then turn around so it's not always shooting at you. When all the legs are down you can board either the head or tail - the head is faster but more dangerous (be ready to dodge the laser with the left stick!), the tail is slower but safer. - In Wave 7, there are only 3 enemy battleships. As always, be careful as their turret fire is deadly. You should have the magnetic missiles by now, which makes things easier. Stay back and take cover if needed. Destroy the first two ships (destroying both turrets takes out the ship), but leave the last one alive. Tail it from a distance and destroy it's mines as they pop up. You'll get extra points and will slowly raise your multiplier. When the wave is close to being over, quickly take out the ship for lots of points. (Credit to Phr4nk0) - Wave 10 has 3 Archons, but if your ships are in good health, you can afford to take out the small ships first to raise your multiplier a bit. Be VERY cautious when fighting the Archons, especially if you do the finisher on their head - it's infuriating dying so close to the end when you're doing good (it happened to me!). - The last tip isn't what you want to hear, but it's the truth - practice, practice, practice, then practice some more. Each kill, each wave, and each failure will make you better and better at this mission. Just keep trying and you'll become the Top Ace in no time Edited February 27, 2011 by RadiantViper
rabies
Looks good! Disc is still on the way from gamefly..but seeing as how it has been over a year since I played this game, I am sure this will come in handy as i remember how the hell to even play this game! If I have any constructive feedback after i get all the achievements, I will post again and let you know.

This game makes me so mad. Ghen Crag, I assume? I've heard it's either cause by leaving the purple slugs alive or leaving too many weapons on the ground. Krimson Spawn
A few changes to Radiant's guide above i realized that with the time limit on there was no way to get this done, the people who did do this achievement with those handicaps are gods of dark void so instead of the time handicap i exchanged that for handicap with enemies having more health.. you just need to keep your ships alive and i only upgraded my jet pack once and your thinking well how did i get a high enough multiplier with enemies having more health... grinding mines dropped by ships in wave 7 as stated above kill 2 of the 3 ships and follow the last one for how ever long you need and kill mines to raise your multiplier up this method works like a charm... so if your struggling with this achievements try it this way with the time limit handicap off. rabies
Does anyone else have extreme lag when playing this? Got to wave 8 and was lagging so hard that I just died out of no where. This game makes me so mad. What a piece of crap this DLC is. I have the same problem...come about wave 8 or 9, the game is lagging so hard, it becomes difficult to do anything...and this last one, i got to wave 8, just like you, had 3 minutes left on the clock..and suddenly it just goes to the score screen. I guess somehow I died? What rubbish. I'll try clearing more of those slugs out as suggested, but this is really stupid...how did this ever pass QA/playtesting? rabies
I'd definitely take the time to go back and kill all the slugs and get weapons but the time limit makes me go fast, as well as wanting to keep that multiplier... What are peoples' average scores at the end of these waves? Is it cutting it close, or? in the end, when i got it, i ended up with like...5.4 million..well over what I needed for Ghen Crag. I eventually took off the time limit one and used nightmare instead (enemies had more health) because I got to the final wave like...5 times and ran out of time on the archons at the end...mostly due to the fact that the lag was bad (even with killing slugs and picking up weapons). So yea..for Ghen Crag, I went Low Tech Nightmare Legend Swap to reclaimer and oppressor (to pick up weapons) on round 2 and never upgrade. I didn't realize till later that upgrading drastically reduces your score, even with Low Tech on and the prices being higher..which is kinda stupid. Just use the reclaimer to scope and snipe enemies as fast as you can to keep the multiplier up..by rounds 9 and 10, your multiplier should be around or well past 90. Don't worry if your score in the first 5 waves isn't so high..you start making huge scores on the last 3 or 4 waves. Also make sure to make ample use of your grenades..they can make a big difference...especially once you start to learn the spawn patterns and can charge and throw them right as they show up. I got Ace now..and am working on TOP ace. Space combat makes this one suck ..but at least this one does not lag at all....i find keeping the multiplier up on the abyss to be the real challenge. rabies
Ok..after DAYS of doing the Abyss, I finally found a combination that worked for me. I was not good enough to execute on any of the above strategies. I was able to BEAT all 10 waves with low-tech, time press and legend on, but my score was abysmal...my best being only about 3.6 million..which is FAR short of what was needed. So if you are good enough to beat it with those 3 multipliers on, but not good enough to get the achievement...try what I did..detailed below. I ended up only toggling Low Tech and Legend..which only gave me a x4 multiplier instead of x6. I found having nightmare on too difficult to get me past wave 6 with a decent multiplier, and having time press on didn't allow me to build a huge multiplier on wave 7. I'll break what I did down wave by wave. The KEY to high scores is your score multiplier in the top right corner! WAVE 1: Kill as fast as possible. try to leave with a multiplier of x3 or more. WAVE 2: Same. You are trying to get to 35k for your first upgrade. WAVE 3: Target the capital ship that spawns right away..then go for the annoying little guys. You might be able to upgrade after this wave. Do so if you can..it helps tremendously next wave. WAVE 4: Kill quickly...especially the shielded guys..those guys tend to bring your multiplier down. WAVE 5: As mentioned before, target the archon near delta point asap. Then take care of the rest. WAVE 6: This is a key wave..you MUST do well on this wave. I was never lucky enough to have the 2nd rocketpack upgrade by now, but if you do, you are practically golden. You really need to end this wave with a multiplier of about high 30 or 40s at a minimum...otherwise you are screwed...this means you need to become halfway competent at killing the shielded watchers...which are the bane of your multiplier. WAVE 7: You are going to milk this wave for mines..as long as you possibly can. As mentioned above, kill 2 capital ships asap (you will certainly have 2nd rocket pack upgrade by now)..and leave one intact. Then just carefully follow the 3rd ship and kill its mines to slowly build your score and multiplier. Do this as long as you can....eventually, it will stop dropping mines. I went into this wave with a multiplier of about 40..and left with a multiplier of 80..it should have been higher..but I kept hoping it would drop more mines and I lost about 5 multiplier points. This will take 20 minutes or so. I lost alpha point in the process...it was sacrificed for the greater good. WAVE 8: Kill stuff as fast as possible holding both trigger buttons down. You MUST keep building your multiplier up. WAVE 9: Same as 8. Your multiplier should be in or past the 90s by now. WAVE 10: Kill the watchers if your last 2 (or 3) defend points are in good shape...otherwise go after the archons. For me, I killed maybe a dozen ships before I had to beeline to point delta..which was taking a huge beating. In the end, as I destroyed the 3 archons, my multiplier was x105 or so. Here is a breakdown of my scores at the end for comparison (Low-Tech and Legend On) WAVE01 - 2,800 WAVE02 - 14,700 WAVE03 - 37,450 WAVE04 - 30,200 WAVE05 - 66,100 WAVE06 - 163,500 WAVE07 - 550,050 WAVE08 - 703,350 WAVE09 - 1,002,150 WAVE10 - 1,246,950 Score Modifier x4 Total Score - 4,987,800 Again, if you are good, you can probably turn nightmare on...but i found that the shielded watchers in particular took me FOREVER to kill and constantly brought my multiplier down...and I would get to wave 7 with like...a x20 or less multiplier...with it off, I went into wave 7 at around x45...and I am now living proof that you DON'T have to have 3 multipliers on to get the acheivement. Notice that I practiced a LOT with low-tech, time-press and legend on. TimePress in particular really helps you learn to kill stuff faster or you lose. Also, learn to SPAWN CAMP! You should know that as soon as you kill a watcher in a wave, another one spawns from the exact same spot they always come from..learn where that is..as soon as you kill one, beeline back towards that spawn spot and take out the next. You should be able to get in a groove of killing the spawning ones quickly as they fly a set path and are much easier to kill. Abuse this!! This helped me tremendously in building a multiplier.. Good Luck. Don't expect for this one to come quickly..you have to put hours of practice in..and by then, you will know the waves, and the layout of the map like the back of your hand. rabies
Finally, RadiantViper, I disagree with the 6/10 difficulty rating and the 2-4 hours to beat it. Maybe I just suck compared to everybody, but Top Ace alone makes this a 8 or 9 out of 10 for me and i spent WAY more than 4 hours just on that one mission. tazozin
Teamlead Taco you are amazing. Your guide for Top Ace is spot on perfect. I totally agree about the wrong estimate for the difficulty level. I personally spent more than 30 hrs on this mission alone. If I could add anything to your guide then it would be that on wave 7 leave 2 ships for mine farming. Finish them of after you get a multiplier above 150. I finished with a multiplayer of 212 and a final score of over 9 million. Edited May 31, 2011 by tazozin addind pic
RadiantViper
I'll bump it up to a 7 and change the hours to something else, but I really can't see it as an 8 or 9. I am nothing more than average at this game (I get frustrated at piloting all the time) and it took me a handful of practice tries to get it done without farming anything. And decent amount of people have gotten it over on TA (compared to the total amount of people with it), so I really doubt it deserves such a high score. It's tough, but really not ridiculously challenging. Not trying to shoot you down or anything, I really do respect your opinion. I'll also link your expanded guide, lots of good info there. Bofur
Can anyone provide anymore info for this game? Got to wave 9 and the lag is just unbearable. I killed black slugs, I picked up ammo and I installed the game to the hard drive! It said I cleared wave 9 but died out of no where because the lag is so awful. PLEASE help! I can't even beat the fucking level without any mods let alone do it with mods.
The Filthy Goat
Damn, this is the second time this has happened to me. I get to the 5th/6th wave, then the knight shows up out of nowhere. When I freakout trying not to get killed run for cover, I turn around to find he has absolutely disappeared and seems to be infinitely far away on the radar, like he dropped off the map. Then my wave times out and I lose.

According to your attached image you completed the last wave in less than 3 minutes, thats just impossible it takes me at the quickest just over a minute to finish one off even by doing the head then there's traveling between each of them. As for grinding the mines-when i try this it doesn't drop enough to build up,the multiplier drops down while i'm waiting for it to drop more. Are you sure there isn't a glitch thats not been told. Been trying to do this for nearly a week now with no success, this is by far the hardest achievement i've tried getting, 7 out of 10 my arse. Anji
Top ace is one hell of an achievement. It probably took me about 10-15 hours to do the single player and Ghen Crag. Abyss Canyon took me about 15 hours by it's self. The jet packs learning curve was just too much for a xbox controller, plus the flying patterns of the UFO's made little sense. They fly about like insects, zipping here and there with no purpose. For Ghen Craig I say use sniper rifle and the Tesla gun no up grades. The Tesla is pretty much a super shot gun because it hits multiple targets while freezing them, plus it kills everybody expect the knights and the dark blue lieutenants in about 2 seconds. When you get to wave ten, since you have Legend, time press and low tech on, you can easily kill the two knights if you fly east or west away from them, do a U turn and slowly gun them down with your jet pack. For Abyss you are on your own. First you have to get good at hunting, then killing then not dying. Once you get all that down you can do some of the methods mentioned here. I personally went with Low Tech and Legend. Wave 1 & 2-I would use the AA gun on Alpha to kill the first two waves Wave 3-I then took out the ship in wave 3 fast and killed the knights, left with a X15 Wave 4-Upgrade the jet pack and learn to shoot the mines in between killing UFOs to build your muitplier, left with a X25 Wave 5-Killed a couple of UFOs then killed Archon, left with a X29 Wave 6-Very important, I entered this wave 600 points short of 80,000. I killed 1 UFO then I upgraded in the locker above where Alpha ship circles. It is in the ruins and the game shows where it is at the start of every round. Once you get the missiles everything is goochie. Left with a 35X Wave 7-Kill the ships and follow 1. If you zig zag or fly side to side behind the ship it will rarely hit you. If you watch the radar you can see when it drops mines. I just stay about two ships back, zig zagging and ducking behind rocks. left with a 92X Wave 8-Spawn camp the UFOs and the knights will come to you. Left with a 107X Wave 9-Again learn to know when to stop chasing the stupid UFO doing circles around you too fast and shoot the 2 or 3 mines the you see. Left with a 115x Wave 10-Don't Die Wave. I personally killed the first Archon at Delta quickly and since Beta was blown up in wave 7, the second one just sat there. I killed the UFOs and took out the last 2 archons. My last three rounds I knew it was over since I scored 70000, 1.2 million the 1.5 million. Edited June 9, 2011 by Anji

I've been trying for this for about 25 hours now i've tried all the ways stated in this thread and I can't get the multipliers others get,i simply just dont kill quick enough. ReD S1X
IMHO, I thought it was that difficult but what makes it difficult is simply because of the dumb lag. At least for others, their game ended with scoreboard whereas mine just simply won't move at all. UPDATE: I take back what I said, Ghen Crag is no problem at all; Abyss Canyon is just a pain in my spine. UFO is fucking unpredictable at most times and really why didn't they just make a homing missile instead even if it's set on WW2? Oh yeah, that mine thing was a good idea but the damn ship keeps killing me when they took their time shitting out the mines, constantly loosing multipliers instead of gaining and I have to keep my toes up or else. UPDATE 2: Finally got it just recently and boy was I excited. Anyways, I decide not to use the mine farming since I had no patience and stick to the basic formula (same 3 modifiers above) and make some calculations. I find that I need at least 750K score points just to comply the multipliers to 4.5M. So a safe point on mark. Then I find that using those points to buy upgrades actually reduce the total score so just to play safe, I decided to just buy 1 upgrade for the jetpack. On the 9th wave, I got around 600K and multipliers to 60 or 70+ then it's a safe bet that killing those 3 huge crawler-thing as priority one can get my multipliers to 80+ and it did. I ended up getting 800K+ and total to 4.9M; and boy was I too excited or what. Edited January 29, 2012 by ReD S1X
NRGY Ranta
I don't know what I'm doing wrong while playing Abyss =S Well first of all I suck at flying and can't get the same multipliers as most of the guides. When I get to wave seven I can't leave two ships to drop mines because the well tear my objectives apart within the minute and when I'm following one ship I can't raise my multiplaier because the mines drops to slow so it goes down one before every mine =( Any ideas what im doing wrong? >< Edit: GOT IT! =D Followed Anji's guide. Didn't do half as good on the combo though and I completed it with 4822200 score so I was really close not getting it xD Also I took ReD S1X advice and didn't kill the Archons directly as the tenth wave started. Had around 115 when I completed it. And for wave seven, even if you can't get the multiplier up you will still get a load of points from the mines. I only had Legend and Time Presure on btw, so you really dont need three handicapps on at a time. Got the rockets after the second wave after that it's only to blow away and hope for the best. Lyre220
I found 2 better ways to deal with archons, more safe and quick. Both requires Hypercoil. You can replace your primary weapon in the update menu betweens waves. Method 1: Boost and fly to the archon and try to land near it. Don't shoot in the air or it will shoot back. You want to land with as much health as possible. Once you lands take one of its leg as a cover and charge your hypercoil. Then just shoot the leg in front of you, which you use as a cover. You need to hold RT to keep shooting till hypercoil overheat, the archon will die before the second full shoot. The archon will turn around so you have to move with it. It's machine gun is not very powerful but if you don't try to hide you will probably die before it. Method 2: Use your rocket pack machine gun/missile to blow up all 4 red spots. Then land or hover near it. Charge hypercoil and shoot, the archon will die before a full shoot. I use method 1 in wave 5, and method 2 in wave 10. Because I have missile update in wave 10 and it's quite fast to blow up red spot. And the default hypercoil ammo is just enough to charge 5 shoot. KissMyUnicorn
The Abyssal Canyon is probably the most infuriating thing in any game I've ever played. It's been a week on 5 hours a day and I *still* can't beat it. No, not get the Top Ace achievement, I mean actually passing level 7. Worst idea for DLC ever. Creech
I thought I would clean up the road map for this since it isn't quite up to spec: DLC: Survivor Missions Difficulty: 8/10 Time to 250:gsicon:: 4-10+ hours, heavily skill-based Unobtainable: None with latest patch DLC: Survivor Missions Abbreviated Walkthrough: When the DLC was released, multiple achievements were broken. If you want to play this, make sure you connect to LIVE and download the latest patch. There are two maps, Battle of Ghen Crag and Abyss Canyon. In theory, you can get all achievements in one complete play through of each map, taking about 30 minutes each. However, this DLC is a survival-type battle with multiple waves of enemies, and to beat them will take most people hours of practice and learning the enemy spawns. Start with Battle of Ghen Crag and work on beating all 10 waves while scoring 4.4 million points. Once you have done that, clean up any achievements you have missed that the guide recommends to do on Battle of Ghen Crag, and then switch maps. Abyss Canyon has a few achievements that are easier to complete on it (Bulletproof and possibly Freedom Fighter), but mostly you will need to learn the map and the spawn points, and then focus on unlocking Top Ace. This is the single hardest achievement in the entire game, not just the DLC, and many folks have spent more hours on this than the entire campaign. Conclusion: While straightforward in concept, the mechanics make this DLC mediocre at best, and overly frustrating for many people. The achievements are all straightforward and clear, and despite the difficulty of Top Ace, all of them can be unlocked in a patched game.
