Wraithsight
Has anyone done the Magic Sympathizer/Annulment Invoker awarding quest chain yet? I just did it then and received the Annulment Invoker achieve, and since I have had a spare save nearby I figured Id go back and get the other one as well. However when I savescumed and retryed it a couple of times I couldn't get the Magic Sympathizer achievement to pop. Anyone know exactly what you have to do to get it? You need to side with the mages, so that they join your army and not the templars

You need to use the Litany to save the mages during the fight with the boss. IT's under "Advanced" on the action ring. Each time he says, 'will you accept my offer' or something like that during the fight, use the Litany. If some mages live, you'll get to keep them and also use them in the Redwall castle quest as well. You get the Litany after you beat the sloth demon. It's on the Niall guy's body. Wraithsight
Ah right! I didn't realise that the litany was a multi-use item. Cheers that helps a lot.
wizzlestick
Yeah I had to redo it myself thinking just the dialogue alone would do it and then I started listening to Wynne go 'Psssst hey don't forget about the Litany' before the fight each time lol
when_vegans_attack
I got sympathizer without the Litany - I didn't even know it was possible to use. I just fought the boss and saw the Circle leader lying there on the floor when it was all over and talked to him... dpenguin
I didn't need to use the Litany either to obtain the achievement - didn't even notice it under the advanced section of the wheel. Interesting.
Darkness Falls
yeah i didn't use Litany either but i got the sympathizer achievement.
when_vegans_attack
Yeah - you don't need to use the Litany at all. You can take the Mage with you back to the Templar and then you can decide which side to take (I saved right before, then went back to get the other achievement.) bloodswan
You don't need the litany but it ensures that you get the magic sympathizer. If all your mages died in the battle than you can only side with the Templars.
