Introduction

Gravity Guy is another great game from Miniclip. You control a boy who just escaped from prison and is fleeing from a pursuing guard. The only way to interact with your character is by tapping the screen, which causes him to jump and gravity to reverse. You hop back and forth, from floor to ceiling, completing levels that become progressively faster and more difficult. The game includes multiple single player game modes, as well as an un-enjoyable 4-player mode. Currently the game is listed at $2.99 in the Marketplace.

Step 1: Complete Story Mode

Start Story Mode and complete both the Run and Rescue Chapters. Simple as you can die as much as you want.

Step 2: Endless Mode

Complete the four achievements related to this mode.

Step 3: Complete Story Mode Chapters without Dying

Complete Run and Rescue Chapters in one go (without dying).

Step 4: Mop-up

Complete any achievements you may have left. Once you master this game and finish Story Mode without dying, you will probably have all other achievements.

Conclusion

The concept of Gravity Guy is quite simple, but to master it is very difficult. The real challenging achievements in the game are completing each chapter of the Story Mode without dying. It will take many hours of practice and memorization to unlock them. Completing this game is not impossible, but considering less than 1% of players have done it according to TrueAchievements, it is definitely a hefty challenge.

GUIDE

COMPLETION ACHIEVEMENTS (2 for 40 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png)

The following 2 achievements are obtained just by completing all levels of Story Mode.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-Jv0hA==.jpg Amazing Run - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Finish Run Chapter.

Just complete all 30 checkpoints in the Run Chapter of Story Mode. You have unlimited retries.

http://www.trueachievements.com/imagestore/0000920100/920184.jpg Amazing Rescue - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Finish Rescue Chapter.

Just complete all 29 checkpoints in the Rescue Chapter of Story Mode. These levels were released as part of free DLC and are significantly more challenging than the Run Chapter. Just keep trying as you have unlimited retries.

NO DEATH ACHIEVEMENTS (5 for 55 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png)

The following 5 achievements are obtained by passing the required amount of checkpoints without dying.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-XsMFw==.jpg Perfect Run - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Finish Run Chapter in one go.

See "Perfect Rescue."

http://www.trueachievements.com/imagestore/0000920100/920185.jpg Perfect Rescue - 15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Finish Rescue Chapter in one go.

These two achievements are the hardest in the game. They are what make the game a 9/10 difficulty. You must complete each chapter of Story Mode from start to finish without dying. There is no easy way to do these. You need to just keep playing the levels over and over again until you have them to some degree memorized. Feel free to use Practice Mode to practice Run Chapter, as in that mode there is no Chaser following you. There is no Practice Mode for Rescue Chapter, however.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/+vjuWw==.jpg 3 checkpoints - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Pass 3 consecutive checkpoints without dying.

See "20 checkpoints hero."

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-1oFog==.jpg 10 checkpoints - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Pass 10 consecutive checkpoints without dying.

See "20 checkpoints hero."

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-rr9MQ==.jpg 20 checkpoints hero - 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Pass 20 consecutive checkpoints without dying.

These achievements require you to pass a certain number of checkpoints without dying. These will unlock on the way to getting the "Perfect Run/Rescue" achievements. Passing 3 and 10 checkpoints without dying is fairly easy, but 20 is quite a bit more challenging. It is best to start at Level 1 as the levels just get more and more difficult as you progress. Unlike "Perfect Run" and "Perfect Rescue," these achievements can be earned in Practice Mode, which is slightly easier considering there is no Chaser.

An easy method to unlock these, once you have all other achievements, is to reinstall the game to get your three slow motions back (WARNING: You lose all progress). You should be able to unlock this if you use three consecutive slow motions after passing 10 checkpoints without dying, getting to 20 with ease.

ENDLESS MODE ACHIEVEMENTS (4 for 30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png)

The following 4 achievements must be obtained in Endless Mode.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/UP+m1i8=.jpg 35,000 points later ... - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Reach a score of at least 35,000 in Endless mode.

See "50,000 points and counting!"

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/UP5GLrw=.jpg 50,000 points and counting! - 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Reach a score of at least 50,000 in Endless mode.

These achievements require you to obtain a score of 50,000 in Endless Mode. This mode consists of a semi-random never-ending array of obstacles. You get points based on how far you get before failing. Reaching 35,000 is not terribly difficult, but making it to 50,000 will take some practice for sure, especially since the levels are random and cannot be memorized entirely.

A good method for this is to wait until you have all other achievements (that you actually want to get), then reinstall the game. You WILL lose all your progress, but you will get your free 3 slow motions replenished. It is significantly easier to obtain these using slow motion. If you want to use all three in a row, you just need to legitimately get to around 15,000 points, which is not that bad. Once you reach that score, use your slow motions consecutively. They will take you far beyond 50,000 score. The only tricky part to this method is making sure to activate the subsequent slow motion immediately after the previous one has expired. It is hard to tell exactly when this has occurred, as the fade back to normal speed is slow. Just keep jamming it when you think it is close, still paying attention not to mess up. If you do fail, it is still easy with two slow motions (since you wasted one on your first attempt), however you will need to get to around 25,000 points before activating them this time. You could also just reinstall the game again. Endless Mode is available after STARTING Story Mode for the first time and your slow motions will be replenished.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/UPxnJwk=.jpg 100 endless runs - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Play 100 runs in Endless mode.

See "250 endless runs."

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/UPxnJwk=.jpg 250 endless runs - 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Play 250 runs in Endless mode.

These achievements only require you to complete 250 total Endless Mode runs. Completing a run consists of starting and dying in the mode. If you do not unlock this by the time you get the "50,000 points and counting" achievement, just load up Endless Mode and keep falling off the first ledge and restarting repeatedly. It only takes about 20 minutes to complete all 250 this way.

MISCELLANEOUS ACHIEVEMENTS (9 for 75 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png)

The following 9 achievements are obtained by completing miscellaneous cumulative requirements. Progress towards all of these can be done in any game mode.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-lwYGQ==.jpg Grim Reaper - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Die 100 times.

Just die 100 times, either by flying off the edge of the screen or getting caught by Chaser. In Practice Mode you can also die by letting the screen catch up to you. This game is so difficult, you will have no problem getting this with natural progression.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/+aDmsg==.jpg Shooting Spree - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Killed 100 times by chaser.

You need to be killed 100 times by Chaser, the guard that chases you in Story/Endless Modes. This will likely come with natural progression, but can easily be boosted just by letting him catch you over and over.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/+4HvBw==.jpg Try much harder - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Die 5 times in a row without flipping gravity.

Just as the description states. Either fall of the edge from a checkpoint or let Chaser catch you 5 times in a row, making sure not to flip gravity at all. This can be earned easily at the very beginning of Run Chapter (after the tutorial). Just keep letting your character run off the first ledge 5 times.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-7zgig==.jpg Try Harder - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Die 20 times between two checkpoints.

Another achievement you are actually awarded for being bad at the game. Just die 20 times in a row without making it to the next checkpoint. This can be earned easily at the very beginning of Run Chapter (after the tutorial). Just keep letting your character run of the first ledge 20 times.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-AINSw==.jpg Persistence is a virtue - 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Play for an hour without any pause.

You need to play for an hour without pausing, exiting the game mode to the menu, or obviously exiting out of the game. Either complete the requirement naturally via an intense Gravity Guy session, or let your character continuously die for one hour. Some Windows Phones have the option to prevent screen-time out entirely (Settings > Lock+Wallpaper > Screen times out after > Never), but most phones only allow up to 5 minutes (presumably to prevent burning out the screens). Set your screen timeout to 5 minutes and every couple of minutes just flip gravity to prevent the screen from locking out. If you are lucky enough to be able to set your screen timeout to "Never," just let it sit for the full hour.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-iME-g==.jpg Lover - 15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Play Gravity Guy for 10 hours.

You need to play the game for a cumulative total of 10 hours. I don't believe this counts any time spent in the menus. You will come very close to if not surpass the 10 hours when attempting to complete both Story Mode chapters without dying. If your phone has the "Never" option for screen timeout, you should load up the first checkpoint in Practice Mode. Here your character will just keep repeatedly walking off the first ledge. You will need to confirm that you do not want to use a slow motion several times, but then he will just keep running without interruption. This method where you character is continuously walking will also help you work towards the "Moon Walk" achievement as well.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/+mEXlA==.jpg Moon Walk - 15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Run the distance from the Earth to the moon.

This will come with progression towards completing both chapters of Story Mode without dying. However, it can be boosted easily with the method mentioned in the "Lover" achievement. Just keep playing the game. Even though the distance from the Earth to the moon is around 370,000 km, which seems like a lot, this achievement will come quicker than you expect.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/-8P8bQ==.jpg Gravity Bender - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Flip gravity 1000 times.

See "Gravity Master."

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2087/UPvkxUU=.jpg Gravity Master - 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Flip gravity 10,000 times.

These achievements just require you to flip gravity (by tapping the screen) 1000 and 10,000 times. They will most certainly unlock before you finish both chapters of Story Mode without dying, and probably way before that.

I am not sure, but for the Moon walk and Gravity Master, do they count the distance and flips on the story mode only after you have finished the whole chapter (i.e. reaching the last level and finishing it)? Because on my way to attempting 20 checkpoints hero, I am resetting the game to go back to the first level and I think it takes too long for me to unlock.

I am.confused what you are asking. Those achievements are cumulative across all game modes. I personally got them in the first part of story mode. Just left my phone run for 10 hours while my guy kept dying. I didn't play any of story and def didn't finish anything.

I have been going for Perfect Rescue for a while now. I ended up buying 5 slo mo's from the XBOX store. My son then accidentally deleted my game. I was a little upset until I reloaded the game and found out the my 5 slo mos had turned into 8. I had to replay Run chapter again however 8 slo mos may help to knock this achievement out. I have also found that if you use 3 and don't get it right, you can delete it and reinstall it and have your 8 again. Hope this helps someone.

One point not covered in the walkthrough - for Perfect Rescue, if you pause and restart the level right away, the Chaser won't show up until your first death. If you do this right away, this is an opportunity to get Perfect Rescue without having to worry about the Chaser.
