DarkManX
Sounds good, but I guess we'll have to see if it actually works and more importantly, pays off. Of course you can knock down almost all player specific achievements in one game, but you'd still have to change sides and use strategies. With the guide method as it is right now, you can back out as soon as you get the Achievement and start your next game, which isn't too much to do Oh OK I just hope you can use two controllers. wHw7
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1000/UP1UmWc=.jpg Look what I found! 80http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg Win a fumble pile-up in the end zone for a TD. 5 min qtrs, All Pro (no co-op) In our opinion, this is the hardest Achievement in the game, because it is purely random - at least to SOME degree – because you cannot control the frequency in which these fumble mini-games occur, plus it has to be in the Endzone of the opposing team – which makes it even harder. Normally, catching a ball or running the ball into the Endzone means a Touchdown. Now you have to find a way to trigger the fumble mini game WITHOUT the run or pass being counted as a Touchdown. Ok obviously I haven't played the game but I think you might be confused on this one. The description says win a fumble pile-up for a TD, which would mean you would be causing the fumble in your opponent's endzone, and then trying to fall on it for a TD. It wouldn't be your own endzone. So you wouldn't be trying to avoid a touchdown, you would be trying to avoid a safety. Either way I guess it's the same principle though, since you'll only get one chance. You hit them in the endzone, they're either gonna go down for the safety, or they're gonna fumble, and even then you still have to hope for the mini-game. Not sure how frequently the mini-games will happen but I have a feeling this achievement is gonna be a bitch

It wouldn't be your own endzone. I never said that it was my own endzone, my words were: "plus it has to be in the Endzone of the opposing team – which makes it even harder." So you wouldn't be trying to avoid a touchdown, you would be trying to avoid a safety. I think you just got that mixed up - it needs to be the other way around. Put like this, you're contradicting yourself Why would I be trying to avoid a safety if it was in MY OPPONENT'S Endzone? The opposing team would be trying to avoid a safety, not my team - if it's my team that's trying to avoid the safety and recovers the ball after a fumble pile-up, it won't be a TD BUT, thanks for the input, you just gave me a great idea: It would probably be easier to play as the defense and pin the opposing team in their own endzone, force a fumble and then do the mini-game! Yeah, that sounds about right! Thanks, man!

daenius
I just had a buddy over and we tried out some of the strategies in the Achievement Guide. They worked very well, we were able to imitate pretty much all of the Achievements with these methods. If the full game allows 2 Controllers, this guide is officially done and ready for a sticky. Yeah, that sounds about right! Thanks, man! Yes, you did say it had to be in the opponent's endzone. Then you said that you would have to hope that they get the ball in the endzone and then hope it doesn't count as a touchdown. That's what I meant by "avoiding" a safety; I meant avoid causing one. It would be pretty much impossible to try to avoid trigerring a touchdown when someone gets in the endzone with the ball. At least I've never seen it happen in any football game ever. So instead of trying to "avoid" a touchdown by playing on offense, I think it would be much easier to play as the defense and back them up to their own endzone and try to "avoid" getting a safety and cause the fumble that way. Anyways just a suggestion, nice job on the guide so far;)

It would be pretty much impossible to try to avoid trigerring a touchdown when someone gets in the endzone with the ball. At least I've never seen it happen in any football game ever. Yes, I know that it never happened in real football What I meant by that was the fumble glitch from Madden 09, where you could force a fumble by running towards the endzone and dive as soon as you reached it - when there was a defender right in front of you, the Receiver pretty much fumbled the ball everytime... that's what I meant by deliberately fumbling into the endzone. That's what I meant by "avoiding" a safety; I meant avoid causing one. So instead of trying to "avoid" a touchdown by playing on offense, I think it would be much easier to play as the defense and back them up to their own endzone and try to "avoid" getting a safety and cause the fumble that way. Anyways just a suggestion, nice job on the guide so far;) Now you're making sense I know what you meant the first time, I just thought it sounded a little odd - the way you put it your post implied that my team has to "avoid" a safety, which is bogus of course. I guess it was just a little misunderstanding And I agree, it's a much better way to try and get the Achievement, I already incorporated it into the guide and gave you credit for it Edited July 26, 2009 by daenius
DarkManX
I was trying to set up the wounded duck achievement and it worked for me a completley different and maybe easier way than your way daenius. What I did was Gun>Bunch>stick. I made hot routes on Limas Sweed and Santonio Holmes (Both were fly Routes). Once the ball was snapped I sprinted 15-20 yards with Big Ben and threw a lob pass and automatically landed in Hines Ward's hands. Didn't even need to make a user catch. J0K3R C4RD
great job on the guide! in madden 09 i liked working on the Team-Specific achievements. and I was hoping they'd make some like this, like the NBA games (the player-specific ones) should be fun! When I tried the way I described it in the guide with my buddy, it worked after 9-10 tries. I just tried your method, and everytime I did it I completely overthrew Holmes and Sweed. I don't want to step on your toes, but I think neither way is easy. It's just a random Achievement and after trying both ways a couple of times, I think the "Guide-method" may be a little bit more...... let's call it manageable than the one you suggested. It's a good idea, and it definitely works - but it seems a bit more random than the method in the guide. Keep on posting though, maybe you'll find a faster way. J0K3R C4RD
hey guys, don't assume i suck at the game and i'm a loser to madden. all i meant is that is that it's gonna be slightly harder achievements because 1: they're on all-pro, and 2: these are more specific achievements. yes, it'll be easy as anything with 2 controllers, even with 1. i'm just saying it'll take more than years past... Tounge73
well i can confirm you can use 2 controllers. but for some of those player specific achievements, you dont get them till the end of the game. so its easy to turn off play clock and kneel the rest of the time out. Have all the player specific ones you've gotten so far unlocked at the end of the game or only a few of them? Could you list them as you progress on so I can incorporate it into the guide? Thanks!
