All good things must come to an end, and that includes the commander shepard trilogy. However, just because it is coming to an end, that doesn't mean we can't go out with a bang. Introducing the final mass effect 3 multiplayer dlc: reckoning!

Prepare for the reckoning! Newfound allies join the multiplayer war for survival in mass effect 3: Reckoning. The geth juggernaut, female turian raptor, talon mercenary, alliance infiltration unit, and more take up arms to stop the reaper threat. Smash your enemies with the biotic hammer as you lay waste to the battlefield as the krogan warlord.

Wield 7 new weapons for multiplayer, including the geth spitfire assault rifle, venom shotgun, lancer assault rifle, and amplify your arsenal with new equipment and weapon mods featuring the geth scanner and assault rifle omni-blade.

Mass effect 3: Reckoning launches at no additional cost worldwide on february 26th on xbox 360, pc and playstation 3 (on february 27th on playstation 3 in europe).

I think you missed the dlc pack that people REALLY care about.

The new single player dlc titled "Citadel" that costs $15 and will be out March 5th

When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives. Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.

When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favorite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy, try your luck at the Citadel’s Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard’s own living quarters on the Citadel. With unique content and cinematics featuring your friends and romance interests in the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances.

One important note.

For Xbox 360 users, the Citadel DLC pack will come as 2 downloads on Xbox Live. ME3 Citadel is larger than our previous DLC packs, so it had to be split into 2 downloads. The first pack is priced at $14.99 and the second pack is tagged as free. Players need to purchase and download pack 1, then download pack 2 at no additional cost.

You can download pack 2 without purchasing pack one, but the DLC will not work. You will get an error message in game asking you to download pack 1. It will say "This DLC will only work in conjunction with Part 1 of Mass Effect™ 3: Citadel, which is split across 2 downloadable packages. Please purchase Part 1 prior to downloading Part 2 at no additional cost.]"This will not hurt your saved game but you will not be able to launch Citadel until you have both packs.

This only effects Xbox 360 users. Citadel for the PC and PS3 is in one pack.

I'm a little sad there are no new maps. It still looks great. Hopefully 21 mil will be enough to unlock all new guns.

I could care less about the single player actually. Mass Effect 3's story was ruined by Bioware, just like they ruined Dragon Age 2. The multiplayer is the only reason I still play ME3.

Really? I'm excited for Citadel of course, but I'm more looking forward to this MP DLC. Can't wait to play as a Geth Prime! :woop:

Good joke.

Really wanted a create-a-class :(

You guys actually care more about the MP than the SP? Jeez I know the campaign in ME3 wasn't the best but I never thought I'd see the day where people dismiss mass effect single player content in favour of (yet another) mp dlc pack.

Maybe it's just me the the mp was never fun to me and all it did was take me out of the single player experience and force me to play it so I could get a maximum war effort.

If you give the multiplayer a chance and have a good team of 4 then it's actually really good. It has a bit of a learning curve with all the different strategies but that's why I like it. Learning all the strengths and weaknesses of the different classes reminds me a lot of Shadowrun, which is a good thing.

Well, for me for a while I got soured by the ending. (I've since made my peace with it). But yeah, I actually have come to greatly enjoy this game's MP. It's simple, yet very addicting.

i gave it more than a chance and did have a good team at times. I reached the max level on 3 characters I think it but it got boring real fast for me. I always seemed to unlock characters I always had and never got any rare items even when buying the spectre packs. I LOVE ME1 and ME2 and really wanted to like the mp but I just couldn't. I'm glad to see you guys enjoy it though. I just hope this last single player dlc will be well worth it unlike previous ME3 sp dlc's.

The multiplayer keeps on going so any new additions just adds more life to it. The single player story came to a conclusion which means the DLC story elements aren't nearly as important after that. Single player DLC nets you a few hours of playtime, multiplayer you can get as much out of as you want to. In your case, that would be none. But that's just my opinion on why people vote for multiplayer content.

Sure that makes sense. But I'd rather have a couple hours of good entertainment rather than many hours of just okay entertainment. Of course if I actually liked the multiplayer than I wouldn't have that problem.:p

I hear ya, what's good is they seem to have kept the balance of both pretty well. There's been a bit more multiplayer content I suppose but that's to be expected, it's probably quicker to get done.

I like MP more than SP because I can change characters fast. In SP I'm stuck with the same Shepard for the entire game. I'm using the same powers for 20+ hours. In MP I can change character every 20 minutes and have very different experience.

My only problem with that is there is no sense of attachment. When I play a 20+ hour game with one character and slowly upgrade him I really begin to like and care about my character. With MP all the characters mean very little to me since I'm using a different one every few games.

Very few mp games hold my attention. It's because every match is basically the same thing. So unless the gameplay is ultra tight or the unlock/reward system is motivating, I loose interest quickly.

But that all just comes down to personal taste I guess.

Geth Juggernaut looks as tall as a Brute  (Probably gonna have soft-cover like the Volus?) Super excited for it anyways :D

Can't wait to try the Venom out in MP too, should be the next best thing since the pre-nerf Falcon! :Bounce:

Slow movement speed no evade and can't take cover. Can't be insta killed and probably insane high shields. Awesome!

Correct! :D

I found this while lurking on the BSN:

The Geth Juggernaut has reduced mobility so he moves slowly, can't evade, and can't take cover. To compensate, he has significantly more defenses than anyone else and has a few special abilities to help him deflect damage and be more survivable.

Eric Fagnan (the mod that regularly posts the balance changes) posted that. ;p
