Shelton
Hello, the ranked servers (including the stats server) are all down on both 360 and PC, they have been down since April 17th. According to Timegate, this is due to maintenance, but since when does maintenance take nearly two months? If there is anyone else playing the game or looking to play it, who would like the ranked servers to come back online, please post in the following thread. http://forums.timegate.com/showthread.php?t=24960 Thanks. However, I would urge you and anyone else affected by the "maintenance" to post and let Timegate know that we want the servers back online. Skelix
Thread been removed as obviously they don't want people posting about it, PC and 360 is dead for what seems like for good: http://forums.timegate.com/showthread.php?p=283725#post283725
onemorechanc
Looks like they addressed the issue ... somewhat: http://forums.timegate.com/showthread.php?t=25409 Hopefully they can get this resolved. I purchased both the game and DLC recently, but found out about the ranked servers being closed before I started playing.
sternn
From what I've been able to gather, there's a nasty legal dispute going on between TimeGate (developer) and Southpeak (publisher). It seems that when the ranked servers went down, it was originally an outage issue. However, their Gamespy contract or server certificates expired during the outage. It's implied that Southpeak holds the keys to that. Until the dispute is settled, Section 8's ranked services are down. There's a news article describing the issue (link). Looking at it, I can understand why TimeGate went digital-only with their distribution for Prejudice.
