yuyanami
Hi guys, this is the first time i'm submitting a guide for a game. Hope people find it useful. If you find anything wrong or a better way to get the achievements let me know and i will edit the guide. Elite PMC 50 Complete all missions as a Professional. Professional only unlocks after beating the game at least once on either Recruit or Contractor difficulty. Enemies hit harder and there's much less time for your partner to revive you when you are down. NOTE: You can go to Mission Select and play each mission on Professional out of order and it will still unlock. Tips: -All Primary Weapons unlock after your first playthrough so save your money for upgrading the firepower of your favourite guns. The Dao-X kills most enemies with 2 shots and also knocks down even heavy armored guards at mid to close range. -Play slow and clear out all enemies before advancing (the majority of the the enemies in every area are finite, so you will eventually kill all of them) -You can unlock this with either the AI or a co-op partner. My Virtual Friend 35 Complete all missions with the Partner AI. Complete all 6 missions with the AI as your partner on any difficulty. Weapon Specialist 15 Purchase 3 weapons. You can buy any 3 weapons in the mid-mission shopping or just complete the game on any difficulty to get this achievement as all primary weapons will unlock. Say Hello to my Little Friends 45 Purchase the MP7, M134, DAO-X Protecta, MGL MK-X, and the M107 Light Fifty. After completing the game on any difficulty, all primary weapons are unlocked so you can save money on 3 of the 5 guns (M134, DAO-X and MGL MK-X). Just purchase the remaining two guns (MP7 under 'Secondary Weapons' and M107 Light Fifty under 'Special Weapons') to get the achievement OR Complete the game on Professional to unlock every weapon and the achievement. Man of Many Masks 50 Purchase every mask variant. You will need $110,000 for this. Purchase all masks for one character to get this. Make sure you have enough to buy all the masks and once the achievement unlocks, power off your X360 and boot the game up again. You'll have both the achievement and your money intact. If I Were a Rich Man 40 Earn one million dollars in total over the course of campaign mode. This can be earned throughout the course of 3+ playthroughs of the game. (Note: Objective rewards are the same throughout difficulties) A complete playthrough is worth $395,000 if you collect all briefcases and complete all bonus objectives. Assuming you have already collected all briefcases in the 1st playthrough, the 2nd time you can only earn $288,500 max. 3 playthroughs will therefore net you $972,000. You can spend money you earn as the game tracks your total earned, and not what you currently have. Most of the sub-objectives are pretty straightforward except for one in China where you are asked to take down the first Chinook. Preparation is needed beforehand: You need either the RPG or Stinger (FIM92). I recommend the Stinger because despite the damage chart, it does more damage than the RPG (2 shots to take down the Chinook instead of 3 RPGs), it comes with 3 ammo by default and it has lock on. The only con is that it cost nearly 5x more. Once you dock at the dam, enter mid-mission shopping if you haven't already and equip/buy the Stinger ($42,500). Throw the first control switch and clear out all the enemies first before moving the hovercraft in. After climbing up the ladder, clear out any remaining enemies again. Once you throw the 2nd control switch, the Chinook comes flying in across the dam. Lock on and take it down with 2 missiles before it flies off. OR Go to Mission Select once you've completed the game and choose level China and complete the first objective (Blow up the bridge the convoy is passing over), run back to the hovercraft at the bottom to trigger the checkpoint (else the money won't be credited) and then quit the game. It takes less than 2 minutes and it's worth $30,000. You can rinse and repeat till you get 1 million. Fear is The Mind Killer 45 Spend 1 minute straight at full Aggro. You can get this at the first turret at the game's tutorial area in Somalia. You have unlimited bullets so just hide behind cover at the turret and blind fire till you get the achievement. *Thanks and Credit to Riverpatrol Two Eyes are Better Than One 35 Kill 5 enemies total using Co-op Snipe. This can be done as early as Somalia, after killing Mo'Alim, you are asked to clear out the street so the chopper can land. Clyde will hint to you that you should use Co-op snipe to take out the gas tank. Don't. Get into a good position near the back of the street and enter co-op snipe. Take out 5 guards to get the achievement. Do not press 'B' to cancel out of it as you cannot enter back into Co-op snipe mode after that.
yuyanami
Dead Man's Hand 20 Kill 150 enemies total using Handguns. Handguns: -M92 Elite II -SOCOM Mk23 -G18C -DEAGLE -.44 Model 29 See 'Seven-six-two Millimeter' One Shot. One Kill. 20 Kill 100 enemies total using Sniper Rifles. Sniper Rifle: -M14 -MSG-90 -DSR-1 -SVD -M107 Light 50 See 'Seven-six-two Millimeter' This is my Boom Stick! 20 Kill 250 enemies total using Shotguns. Shotguns: -M3 Super 90 -FSPS-12 -DAO-X See 'Seven-six-two Millimeter' Spray and Pray 20 Kill 250 enemies total using Machine Guns. Machine Guns: -M249 SAW -PKM -M134 See 'Seven-six-two Millimeter' Alright, Who Wants Some? 20 Kill 250 enemies total using SMGs. SMGs: -Skorpion -MP-11A1 -MP5k -P90 -MP7 See 'Seven-six-two Millimeter' Big Boom! Big Bada Boom! 20 Kill 25 enemies total using RPGs. RPGs: -RPG-7 V1 -FIM92 Stinger * Thanks to ScRibbLes1070D for this tip. -SAL-86 * Pre-order gun; Thanks to Trash Man for this tip. See 'Seven-six-two Millimeter'. Seven-six-two Millimeter 20 Kill 250 enemies total using Assault Rifles. Assault Rifles: -S-System -HK 36 -AK-47 -AUG -FELIN-2C These achievements will be earned throughtout the course of the game if you take out a majority of the enemies. Switch to another Primary/Secondary weapon once you've gotten it so that you can start raking up kills for another gun. Kills online also count towards these achievements (whether be it AI or player kills). For the Assault Rifle, Handguns and Sniper Rifles achievements, a good place to get them is the final training area of the first mission (Somalia). Ask your partner to advance ahead, he will then stop cause there's a proximity mine ahead. Throw a grenade beside him and he will run forward and be injured by the mine. Drag him around the corner and kill the guards that keep spawning. You have unlimited ammo and invulnerability. There will be 120 guards spawning 2 by 2 behind the fence so take them out at your leisure with one of the 3 guns. (This is cause you are stuck with stock weapons for the entire 1st mission). Your AI partner will not die while you are doing this. You can also get the Submachine gun achievement in the last area in training. Swop your secondary weapon with Rios to get a submachine weapon and do the steps outlined in the paragraph above. Do this twice and you will get the achievement. *Thanks and credit to m00n22 for this tip Flip You. Flip You For Real 20 Kill 50 enemies total using the Melee Attack. Run up close to an enemy and press RT to do a melee attack. Kill 50 for this achievement. In the later stages, enemies with red health bars will not die from one melee attack so be careful. Enemies with blue life bars will still be taken out with one attack. It's hard but possible (unadvisable) to do them on heavy armored guards from behind but there's no point. Fission Mailed 20 Kill 25 Martyrs by shooting the Bomb Packs on their chests. Only mission 2 (right after the opening parachute sequence you can take out 6-7 martyrs) and mission 3 (halfway through the mission) have martyrs. Shoot 25 in the chest to make the bomb packs explode. This may not be achievable on 1 playthrough cause i believe there are less than 25 martyrs. If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It 30 Kill 25 Heavy Armor enemies. If you make sure you kill every heavy armor enemy in your playthrough, you will get this mid-way through the 2nd playthrough. If not, Miami probably has the highest number of heavys in the game (6 if i'm not wrong) and 4 of them are worth $5,000 each when you kill them. * In Iraq, Ali Youseff is also considered to be a heavy armor enemy. ** The heavy guard in the training level also counts towards this achievement. Thanks to EviLEd76 for this tip. Out of Debt 15 Heal your partner for the first time. Training does not count. See below. Field Medic 30 Drag and heal your partner 25 times. Heal your partner 25 times by holding the 'A' button when he's down. Training mission in Somalia does not count. You can also repeatedly shoot at him to bring him down (if you have the ammo) and then heal him to get this. Boots on the Ground 10 Finish playing a versus ranked match. Just as it says, simply complete a versus ranked match. Shortest duration is 10 minutes and you need 4 players minimum to play a ranked game. The Devil's in the Details 20 Complete 20 minor objectives in a ranked match. In an online ranked game, press 'Back' to open the GPS. Minor objectives are highlighted in yellow. All you have to do is go up to them and press 'A' to pick them up. Best done in a 20 minute match. Some minor objectives can only be reached via step-jump. If you find that none are appearing on your GPS, go complete a main objective and they will respawn eventually. You might want to split with your partner so that one does the main objective while the other collects the minor ones. Both players on that team will get this achievement once it's done. Surviving The Game 25 Complete a ranked match without ever needing to be revived. You needs to stay alive for an entire ranked match to get this. If you know the opposing team players it will be easier to arrange a truce. Watch out for the AI running amok and sometimes just spawning right behind you and you should be fine. * As long as you do not die yourself you will get the achievement. Thanks to xSILENTxHUNTERx for the correction. ** You can get shot to near death and then Feign Death for the entire match and it will also unlock. Thanks to martdude16 for this tip. Retirement Savings Plan 40 Earn one billion dollars in total in ranked matches. Earn $1,000,000,000 in ranked games online. Good teamwork and knowledge of the maps can net each player 1-2 million dollars every 10 minutes. You do the maths. *Contributed by Fire Mage: Rough example: 1million per 10 minutes; 1000 x 1million = 1billion 10 minutes x 1000 millions = 10000 minutes 10000 minutes / 60 minutes/hr = 166.66667 hours One Gun is Enough 35 Win a ranked match without purchasing any additional weapons. Do not approach any of the green highlighted weapons machine and do not buy weapons in an online match. I'm not sure if buying ammo ruins the achievement. Out-earn your opponent to win the match. Beast with Two Fronts 20 Kill 50 enemies total in Back-to-Back. During the scipted back-to-back sequences, kill 50 enemies. You will get this in the course of 1 playthrough. Running Man 30 Kill 75 enemies while in the stealth mode of Overkill. Put your AI partner to aggressive-hold and wait till the aggro meter fills up. The aggro bar on his side will fill to the max, then another darker red bar will fill inside after that, let him maintain the aggro for another 2 seconds and press 'A' to enter Stealth Overkill mode. Kill 75 enemies to get this. Not firing at all while your partner draws aggro will fill the meter quicker. L'Abattoir 30 Kill 100 enemies while in the power mode of Overkill. Put your AI partner to passive mode and keep firing at the enemies. You need to kill at least 1 to max the aggro meter. After maxing it, continue firing to let a darker meter fill inside the red bar. Hold it for 2 seconds once it's filled and press 'A' to enter the Power mode of Overkill. All enemies will fire at you during this time but you do 2X damage. Kill 100 enemies to get this. Stonewall 30 Kill 30 enemies using the Riot Shield melee attack While holding the riot shield, ask the AI to hold his position and advance yourself towards the enemy. Press R2 when close to melee them. Melee 30 to get this achievement. Starting a Riot 30 Kill 50 enemies total in Co-op Riot Shield. This is the only single player campaign achievement that cannot be gotten without a 2nd controller/human partner. You have to be the one behind doing the shooting while your partner holds the Riot Shield to get this. I recommend doing it on Mission 2, Afghanistan on Casual difficulty. There's a part in the level where you are in some corridors filled with gas. There's a riot shield right outside the lift you come out from. Have one player pick up the riot shield and one behind doing all the shooting. Take the left path and circle clockwise. You can easily get at least 12 kills before the shield breaks. Once it breaks, restart from checkpoint and you'll be outside the lift again. Do this 4-5 times to get this achievement.
yuyanami
My Kind of Case! 40 Collect all of the information cases in the entire game. Afghanistan - 3 briefcase Iraq - 3 briefcase Aircraft Carrier- 3 briefcase China - 3 briefcase Miami - 2 briefcase You get a cash reward for picking up the briefcases and they can only be collected once. It disappears in future playthroughs once its collected. You can check 'Objective' in the pause menu to see how many you have collected for the level. Collection is accumulative, ie, you don't have to collect all in 1 playthrough. *from si701: "if you keep your eyes open the cases are not normally too far from a little red sign thats about" Rough locations: Afghan #1: Behind the first M-11 missile is a small uphill path, follow it all the way to the end. #2: After encountering the 1st heavy armor guard in the mission (a cutscene plays showing him walking out of a door), kill him and all the guards and search the platform area. It's up past a short set of stairs at the back of the platform. #3: In the area just outside of Brian Hick's cell, go all the way to the back to get this one. Iraq: #1: Right before ascending the ladder to take out Ali Youseff's Lieutenant's Helicopter, look around at the bottom of the ladder to find this. #2: When you're asked to call in the air-strike on the bunker, run to the tent nearest to the huge wall dividing the area (there are some sentry towers near the wall), it's on the side of the tent facing the wall. #3: In the final area of the mission before meeting Ali Youseff, there are some metal platforms with guard on it. Kill them all, climb up the small steps to the 2nd level of the platform, and then the ladder to the 3rd level to find this. Aircraft Carrier: #1: On the main deck of the ship after you land, run towards behind control tower and then to the right to find this on a platform on the side of the ship. #2: In one of the hangars, you have to operate one of the planes to blow through a door (a heavy armored guard appears once the door is blown). Search around the wall closest to the door. It's behind some missiles. #3: In the final hangar, after activating the missiles to sink the ship, look around at the back right of the hangar to find a basketball court. It's behind the basketball hoop closest to the hangar wall. China: #1: Once you arrive at the dam, head up the stairs towards the first control panel. Look across the dam to see a similiar structure directly opposite. The briefcase is there. #2: Once you arrive at the village, co-op snipe the 2 guards and take the right path. At the first house you can enter on the path, head to the 2nd floor to get this. #3: After the only Back-to-Back sequence in China, do not enter the factory. Search outside near the back outside the factory (it's behind a dump) to find this. Miami: #1: After the gates to the luggage area are opened, you have to run to the 2nd floor to operate a control panel. There's an office right before the control panel, search around the back of the office to find this. #2: On the 3rd floor of SSC tower where you have to jump onto the lift, ignore the lift and keep running forward to the back of the floor to find this. It's directly opposite and across the staircase that you came up on. Secret Achievements: Mission 1 Complete 30 Mission 2 Complete 30 Mission 3 Complete 15 Mission 4 Complete 15 Mission 5 Complete 15 Mission 6 Complete 15 To get this you have to complete each mission on Contractor or higher. The 6 missions are: 1. Somalia 2. Afghanistan 3. Iraq 4. Aircraft Carrier 5. China 6. Miami

TugSafc
I think its out in Germany for some strange reason, or a lot of Germans have modded 360's, yesterday I looked at MGC.net at the tracker and there were 5 Germans playing Army of Two. But yeah, I have noticed lately a lot of people submitting achievements guides when game isn't out. I think to submit an achievement guide, you should have gotten 100% achievements

But yeah, I have noticed lately a lot of people submitting achievements guides when game isn't out. I think to submit an achievement guide, you should have gotten 100% achievements I disagree to an extent. I do think they should have a majority of the achievements including the harder ones, but for the sake of getting a guide out, not always. How about The Club? People have written guides to that but obviously no one yet has the last achievement in the game because it takes a load of time to get. They know what it is and so anyone could put in the guide how to get it, it's just very time-consuming. But seriously, writing a guide before a game is out? Unless you're one of those mad hax0rs with a modded 360 I think you should have at least played it to write a guide.
TugSafc
Excluding games like The Club etc where that is the case. But for other games, I noticed people writing guides who only have like less than 50% achievements in the game
Scotian Bred
Can't hate on the peeps .. as long as they are not copy and pasting somebodys elses work. Maybe they played it on another profile other then what they browse the site with .. maybe a friends gave the guide to hand into the site .. who really knows but all copy and pasting will be unvailed if they are indeed C & P'd
yuyanami
i completely understand where you guys are coming from and its fine if you don't believe me, but i've played the game on another profile and gotten every achievement except Retirement Savings Plan before so i'm pretty sure what i'm writing about. the game's out in a few days so if what i wrote is complete bull then like someone said everything will be unvelied, but i hope this guide will at least help someone in getting all the achievements. and i typed everything myself..don't bother searching to see if i C&P'ed from somewhere else. I presume your writing this guide for the 360 as this site is mainly for the xbox 360 and it's achievement system. I think you got a bit confused with the PS3 controller there if i'm not mistaken. I'm having a wild guess here but the melee button on the 360 would be "RB"? Nice guide though nonetheless.

yuyanami
My bad. RT button is to fire your weapon but when you get close enough to an enemy it doubles as the melee attack. Steve007101
Well first off guys, not only do games come out earlier in other regions, quite frankly it's not that hard to get access to a store's stock before it comes out if you have someone working there or connections. I've never done it but I know people who do. I appreciate the guide yuyanami as I'm still debating whether or not I'll get this game. What's your opinion? Can you compare it to something like Gears of War?
