I think I might have found a place that ships to the states. I'm going to try it first though before I post it as a good source.

edit : Ok, I ordered from there....I hope it works.

You have to setup an account to use it though.

My order came today!!! Pretty quick service.

Nice, yours is the korean...I couldn't find that version. I asked and they said it was the Asian version.

You mean the Wall-E game? All copies sold in that site (gmarket) are the korean version. I got one of the cheapest sealed games, it costed around US$ 9.

I also was able to find DW5, but no luck finding a korean version of Bioshock.

Interesting, I asked them specifically. Considering my Bioshock was the WRONG version I'm hesitant now.

Also all the WAll-E's I see have been around 40 bucks US.

Did you search for the DW5 under the Japanese name?

This is the Wall-E I have bought:

It costs a little more than US$ 8. I also bought from the same seller the SuperStar Bundle (I though it was only the game considering the price, US$ 18.50, but it was really the bundle):

http://www.gmarket.co.kr/challenge_eng/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=127415621

Shipping was quite expensive (around US$ 25) because of that crappy "estimation" method of calculating shipping. Now I have around US$ 10 in credits on their site.

That seller still hava copies of the games to sell if you are interested.

I was able only to find one copy of Bioshock on that site, but in its description it was clearly marked that it is a PAL steel box edition.

Awesome that would have been the reason why I couldn't find them, they aren't listed in the 360 section OR under Wall-E.

I could not find any "sections" on that site (using English part of the site).

There is just Electronics > Digital Camera, MP3 & Game > Game Titles

from that I search for Xbox360, getting a lot of results. Browsing it I found the games I want and then re-search using the game name.

This is a great thread I had never noticed before.

Just a question. Is there any features to look for to guarantee that a game is the german version. I checked out the german ebay, but wasnt sure. Also are the achievements in english?

Yes, they are in English.

The german version has a different sticker on the front that says minors can't purchase the game due to content. Its a RED stick iirc.

What exactly makes the game to have different game_ids?

Different builds? I guess not, because there are some cases when one version of the game came very later after the original release, like EDF (unless the support of english language was already in the original release). Anyway, a different publishers always puts its logo on the beginning of the game, right? So there are different builds with the same game_id.

Different builds with Live online playing? Although some cases clearly are examples of different versions with restrictions (censorship) like Army of Two, that does not explain the fact some offline online games have different versions (like Onechanbara, Wall-E, etc).

Just wondering...

Thats a good question. I'm guessing it depends on the coding of the game itself and how much of the code is used between the different versions of the games.
