Shelton
Roadmap -Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10 -Offline:12 (200:gsicon:) -Online: N/A -Approximate amount of time to 200: 3+ hours -Minimum number of playthroughs needed: One playthrough of each mode -Number of missable achievements: None -Glitchy achievements: None -Do cheat codes disable achievements?: There are no cheat codes -Unobtainable achievements? None -Extra equipment needed? No Introduction: Welcome to Zeit², a side scrolling shoot em up from Brightside Games. Zeit² tasks you with manipulating time, to overcome seemingly impossible situations. You'll be fast-forwarding, rewinding and assisting your time shadow through 16 Arcade levels and 6 different modes. There is also an overarching challenge system in place, for those who really want to test their skills. Step One: Arcade Mode Arcade Mode is the only mode available at the beginning of the game, so your hand is sort of forced. You'll need to play through all 16 levels, you have infinite continues, so if you die, it's not an issue. Achievements such as Shockwave, Master Beam-Shot and Time Traveller, should be focused on whilst making your way through Arcade Mode. Step Two: Wave Mode Play through a Wave Mode level without dying. You will die if an enemy reaches the red zone on the left of screen, so do everything you can to keep that from happening. Step Three: Time Limit Mode This is the most difficult part of the list. You must play for at least 2 minutes and 40 seconds in Time Limit Mode. The description is a little misleading, as it sounds like it is cumulative, but it isn't. Select the first level in Time Limit Mode, be liberal with your use of fast forward and rewind. It may take some practice, you will eventually reach your target though. Step Four: Survival Mode Play through the easy level of Survival Mode, surviving for 5 minutes. By this stage, you will have a firm grasp on the tactics required to be successful in the game, so surviving for 5 minutes shouldn't be hard to achieve. Step Five: Tactics Mode Three platinum medals are necessary to unlock the only achievement tied to Tactics Mode. Refer to the achievement guide for the platinum solutions. Step Six: Score Attack Mode Play Score Attack Mode once. Step Seven: Grinding By this stage, Master of Time will be the only achievement you need. Your time spent time travelling is tracked across all modes, Survival Mode is the best mode to choose for grinding though. Simply hold until you die. Select restart then do the same thing. It won't take too long for the achievement to pop. Conclusion: Zeit² is an addictive game with a unique time travel feature. It is a very easy 200:gsicon:, quick and painless. Shelton
Achievement Guide http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/l0/vS/0YCLiGJhbC9GFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzIAAAAA5+fn-v1LjA==.jpgArmorer 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Aquire the BEAM-SHOT by defeating the first intermediate boss in ARCADE MODE The first boss will appear in Stage 1-2 (Ghosts). It will alternate between two types of attacks. When its ship is pink, it will spray the screen with bullets. Do your best to avoid them, whilst shooting the boss. When the boss turns blue, it will shoot a powerful beam. As soon as you see it change to blue, move to the far right of screen. It cannot hit you there. Once it changes back to pink, resume shooting and avoiding its bullets. Continue this pattern until the boss is destroyed. Upon killing the boss, many power-ups will appear, including the Beam-Shot. Simply move your ship onto the largest power-up to unlock this achievement. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/1b/12/1YCLiGJhbC9NFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzkAAAAA5+fn+lm9zg==.jpgTime Traveler 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Use TIME TRAVEL PAST scoring more than 15 000 at once To use "Time Travel Past" press . The longer you hold it down, the further time will rewind. 4.2 seconds is the maximum amount of time you can rewind. You can see the amount of time travel time you currently have by looking in the bottom left of your screen. The time will increase when your time travel power is not in use. It can also be increased by picking up power-ups which have two arrows on them, like the achievement picture. To get this achievement, you need to save up your time travel time and get a 4x multiplier. A 4x multiplier is achieved by killing enemies and not allowing any to pass by you. Your multiplier is shown at the top of the screen. When you have a 4x multiplier and 4.2 seconds of time travel time, wait until there are plenty of enemies on screen, then quickly kill them and rewind time. Allow your time shadow to kill all the enemies and the achievement should unlock. Note: You're very unlikely to get this in the first couple of levels, as there are not enough enemies. Stage 1-4 is when you should start trying for it. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/oV/np/1ICLiGJhbC82FQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wL0IAAAAA5+fn+8ZZug==.jpg Shocking 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Perform a SHOCKWAVE This is an important "move" to learn. A shockwave will clear the screen of all enemies (excluding bosses), so it is invaluable in the latter part of the game. To perform a shockwave, move towards the middle of the screen in a straight line preferably, then use your time travel power to rewind time. Upon rewinding, you should shoot your time shadow. After several hits, it will explode, sending a screen clearing shockwave. This can be done from the very beginning of the game. If you're having trouble shooting your time shadow before it disappears, move towards the middle of the screen, then backwards before rewinding. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/-V/iQ/1YCLiGJhbC9AFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzQAAAAA5+fn+r9Y5g==.jpgIn the Flow 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Play for at least 2 min and 40 sec in TIME LIMIT MODE As per the description, this must be done in Time Limit mode. To unlock this mode, you need to play both Arcade and Wave mode once, score doesn't matter. Choose easy in Time Limit mode. The game will start with only two minutes on the clock. To maximise your time, you need to use your time travel power. Rewind will stop the clock. The best plan of attack is to use fast forward () as often as you can, whilst remaining alive. Fast forward will not make the clock go any faster, but will allow you to get further into the level and gain valuable time power-ups. Whenever your time travel time is getting towards 4 seconds, use it. If the time on the clock is running out, rewind. This may take a few attempts, but you'll eventually manage 2:40. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/SF/Gx/14CLiGJhbC9DFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzcAAAAA5+fn+J5RUw==.jpg Wave Cleared 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Play through a whole WAVE level without dying This must be done in Wave mode. To unlock Wave mode, play Arcade mode once. Choose stage 1 (Pharaos). The objective here is to not allow any enemy ships to get past you and into your red zone. If they do get into your red zone, it's game over. Use your time travel power only when completely necessary. If you find yourself in trouble, position your ship in the path of the enemy ships, causing them to crash into you. This can (and will) save your life. Health shouldn't be a problem. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/BL/My/0ICLiGJhbC9HFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzMAAAAA5+fn-x2zHw==.jpgI'm a Survivor 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Survive at least 5 min in SURVIVAL MODE This must be done in Survival mode. To unlock Survival mode, play Arcade, Time Limit and Wave mode once. Choose easy. As you may have guessed, you need to survive for 5 minutes, which means your health cannot reach zero. Conserve your bullets when there are no enemies on screen, as shooting depletes your health. Use time travel to cover both the top and bottom of the screen. You can allow an occasional enemy to pass, as long as they're small (bigger enemies take off more health when passing you). As each minute passes, the amount of damage the enemy can do to you will increase. First it will go to 150%, next 200% etc. Obviously this makes it harder the longer you go on, but to be honest, surviving 5 minutes isn't that difficult. The achievement will pop as soon as 5 minutes is reached. Note: As explained in the tutorial, only glowing ships that pass you by will damage you. You can essentially ignore the non-glowing ships. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Mq/EJ/1YCLiGJhbC83FQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wL0MAAAAA5+fn+iahKQ==.jpgTactician 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Get 3 platinum medals in TACTICS MODE This is easier than it sounds. It must be done in Tactics mode. To unlock Tactics mode, play Arcade, Time Limit, Wave and Survival mode once. Tactics mode consists of very short missions where you are required to kill the enemies in the most efficient order. Certain enemies will transform when they pass the left side of the screen. They will re-enter on the right, usually bigger and worth more points. The solutions for platinum for the first three levels are as follows: Stage 1 Level 1- *Allow the first two enemies to pass. *Kill the third enemy (has a tail). *Kill the two large enemies. Level 2- *Kill the top three enemies, allow everything else to pass. *Kill the two small enemies (homing). *Kill the large enemy. Level 3- *Kill the second and fourth enemies. *Kill the two large enemies. Edited January 24, 2011 by Shelton
Shelton
http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/bq/Bw/1ICLiGJhbC9BFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzUAAAAA5+fn+1+gdQ==.jpg All-Rounder 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Get at least one silver medal in each GAME MODE The modes that are required for this achievement are as follows: Arcade- Focus on your multiplier, do not allow enemies to pass. It will take at least a couple of stages to reach the silver medal requirement. Wave- The enemies always come in the same pattern, so replay the first level a couple of times, to memorise their spawns. Shoot them as they're entering the screen for huge points. Time Limit- Pick up as many of the yellow multiplier power-ups as you can, even if it requires you to rewind time. Make use of your fast forward power too, it gives you double the points when killing enemies (when in use). Survival- Survive. Refer to "I'm a Survivor" for tips. Tactics- Easiest of all the modes. Refer to "Tactician". Score Attack-Same as Arcade, except only one level. Also, you get to choose which upgrade to bring. Personally, I think the chain shot or rapid fire are best. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Rk/WW/1ICLiGJhbC9MFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzgAAAAA5+fn+7lFXQ==.jpgMaster Beam-Shot 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Shoot at your time shadow with the BEAM-SHOT and destroy at least 4 enemies that way You get the Beam-Shot at the end of stage 1-2. To use it, press when you see a bright light at the front of your ship. The outline of your shield will show you when the Beam-Shot is charging. Ideally, you want enemies on the top and bottom of the screen, whilst you're in the middle. If you find yourself in this position, move to the right of screen, then rewind time by holding . Shoot your Beam-Shot at your time shadow. The beam will split and with luck, it will kill four enemies. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/26/lR/1oCLiGJhbC9CFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzYAAAAA5+fn+X6pwA==.jpg Challenger 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Get 250 CHALLENGE POINTS There are 70 challenges within the game, which award various points for completing tasks in each mode. To unlock this achievement, gain 250 challenge points. To see a list of the challenges, pause the game and choose "Challenges" or select "Challenges" from the main menu. Within the challenge screen, your current amount of challenge points are shown in the top left. Refer to this thread for a guide to help with the challenges. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/FF/DI/1oCLiGJhbC81FQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wL0EAAAAA5+fn+edQDw==.jpgMaster of Time 30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Travel through time for a total of 30 minutes This will come in time, through natural play. However, if you want to speed up the process, choose Survival mode. Both rewinding and fast forwarding time count for this achievement. There is no limit to the amount of fast forward you can use, so you can abuse it. Hold down whilst playing, only slowing down if something big will get past you. If you die, select retry and do the same thing. There is no way to keep track of how long you have travelled through time, unfortunately. Be patient and it will come. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Ik/Lz/04CLiGJhbC9FFQUXXFJRbkE5L2FjaC8wLzEAAAAA5+fn-NxCOQ==.jpgVictory 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Complete Arcade Sectors 1, 2, 3 and 4 in order to finish Arcade Mode Each arcade sector has four levels. BANNED
This guide is informative and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to create it. The only minor issue I see is the game difficulty. I think it is much easier than a 5. I think a 3 would be more appropriate.
dogcom
Thank you OP. BTW, it should be: -Approximate amount of time to 200: 3+ hours
B0seiju
You could describe the number of playthroughs also a little different. It's understandable if you read through the whole roadmap + guide. But it's rather confusing if you only read the now stated. Just some feedback.
Shelton
This guide is informative and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to create it. The only minor issue I see is the game difficulty. I think it is much easier than a 5. I think a 3 would be more appropriate. I was unsure about this, as I play a lot of shmups and didn't want to give my personal opinion. I decided to go for the middle, not easy, not hard. More a placeholder than anything. I will amend it. Thank you OP. BTW, it should be: -Approximate amount of time to 200: 3+ hours Thanks, fixed it. You could describe the number of playthroughs also a little different. It's understandable if you read through the whole roadmap + guide. But it's rather confusing if you only read the now stated. Just some feedback. I'll work on it as I fill in all of the roadmap. It will make sense when I'm done, I hope. I just wanted to get the important things up before I went to bed. I'm now working on the challenge guide. The overall guide is going to continue to improve, especially with all the feedback. Thanks everyone, keep it coming.

El Presidente
Good one:rock I played the game just a few hours ago and just wanted to write a guide - well, there's no need for that now ^^ Anyway: Really good one and I'll definitely get the 200 in this one, as it seems quite easy. L0cke89
Really easy 200. Only have to finish the arcade mode and farm the 30 minutes. 3-4 hours seem about right and it would be under 3 hours if they hand't include the 30 min one -.-"
xBrizzyaNx
The guide is looking really nice and the achievements seem really simple. Here are my two cents. In the Road map, try to guide everyone with which modes to play first and what achievements to get before moving on to the next mode. sort of like a check list. This makes it less of a scramble to look though the guide to find which achievements pertain to which modes etc. Just a suggestion Nice Guide Once Again! I know how to make a Roadmap, I just haven't had time. Between writing this guide, the challenge guide, figuring out how to complete the challenges and going to work etc, the Roadmap has been neglected. I will get it to a high standard, but I need a little time. Be patient please. As an aside, the way the game unlocks the modes is the order that you should play them in. El Presidente
Are you still working on the boss guide? I've still got to beat the last boss and he's quite a tough one. In general the game starts easy and stays like that for far too long, but then becomes a fairly tough one for the last 1-2 chapters just to finish in a seemingly pretty heavy bossfight. :-/

The last boss can be kind of annoying, but he does follow a set pattern, so it's just a matter of watching him and trying to dodge as best you can. When I write the actual boss guide, I'll break down each of his attacks and explain what to do.

Ayx
Had this game for a month and never played it through. Finished it in about two hours including breaks for food. The only hard part is the boss which is some Armored Snake since he's hella unpredictable and then of course the last boss was frustrating but after about 8 tries I nailed him. I'm not really good at shmups but this one was a fun two-three hours with a nice completed game on the side. (:
cazx27
Great guide I would just add 1 thing, after getting all achievements except master of time i looked on TA for other methods (it was taking a while) and a user posted that if you go to tactics lvl 3 and kill all but 1 of the enemies cant remember which 1 but with some experimenting shouldnt be hard to find out, anyway i digress 1 enemy turns into a mob that dosen't sap your health so you can infinitly hold down RT till you get the achievement.
