ryfry99
for engie you can use other engies dispensers for metal and always yell for a medic when you build something. I hate when im trying to be sneaky and the engie just yells out hes erectin something to the whole world.
Tyrant100
Nice guide. One question, what would be a good class to start with? I have lots of CoD4 experience, but I can't find a normal decent class for Team Fortress...

Daywalker-san
Nice guide. One question, what would be a good class to start with? I have lots of CoD4 experience, but I can't find a normal decent class for Team Fortress... Starting Classes: Medic: Go watch what people are doing, and heal them. even if you keep dieing to begin with you should still be credit to team. Pyro: Easiest class to use, devastating when mastered. Go in, set fire, use your damn shotgun from anything more than point blank Demo: Most overpowered class in the game, spam stickies and 'nades everywhere. Even a noob demo can be credit to team. frero
Wow dude, some crazy good work there. Some remarks about the demomand though. In constantly play demoman and I can say that the grenadelauncher is incredibly effective against heavies. If you want to specify in demo, don't use stickies. ge for the grenades. Daywalker-san
Looking back on this after playing TF2 nearly everyday for the last year, i gotta say its full of errors and inaccuracys. DEMOMAN: His nades explode on impact if they have not bounced off anything first Heavys are easy to kill, just drop some stickys on them Learn to sticky jump MEDIC: Get a soldier or demo to hurt himself in setup so you can bulid an uber before the gates open Medics are very useful on defense, a team without one is bound to loose. Dont just heal one guy, as nice as it is to have a pocket heavy, chances are you will do better if you heal everyone. Get out of the range of the sentry, and rain needles on it, if the engie is otherwise occupied it will go down quick. Learn to needleboost team mates, use it to your advantage SPY: Sap the equipment, then shoot it with the revolver, goes down a couple of seconds quicker Sap and Stab. Remember this Learn to stairstab, look on youtube for a guide how. As a defensive spy, target medics to break up their ubers, take out snipers or sollys harassing sentry and generally keep the other team preoccupied Cut corners, nearly all classes are faster than you, if you take a shorter path you can get in line for a backstab easier HEAVY: Hide, if your hidden and surprise an enemy while already spun up its not to hard to take them down Turn up your sensitivity, the higher it is, the quicker you can turn around and take out that spy that just failstabbed you When going round a corner, jump and spin up in midair, that burst of speed may help you take out whats around the corner. SOLDIER: Learn to rocket jump, gets you across the map in no time Learn to airshot, shoot at an enemys feet to send them in the air, then pick them off on the way down, or wait untill they land and take them out then Keep reloading PYRO: Circle strafe, fucking use it. By circle strafing you can take out sentry's, heavies and just about everything else very easily. The pyro is a relatively fast class, just slightly slower than the medic. The pyro is one of the best choices for the uber, as it can rape teams and SG nests. And thats just some stuff i saw when glancing though.
Th3Mask3dM3nac3
SPY: Sap the equipment, then shoot it with the revolver, goes down a couple of seconds quicker Sap and Stab. Remember this Learn to stairstab, look on youtube for a guide how. As a defensive spy, target medics to break up their ubers, take out snipers or sollys harassing sentry and generally keep the other team preoccupied Cut corners, nearly all classes are faster than you, if you take a shorter path you can get in line for a backstab easier Sap n' Stab if Engie isn't watching from behind his sentry, if he is right behind it you should Stab n' Sap. Wait for the sentry to turn one direction and stab the Engie then strafe around the sentry away from its gun and sap. If the Engie is watching his sentry from behind with his dispenser right behind him then stand behind the dispenser with it and the Engie in between you and the sentry. Uncloak or shed your disguise and watch the Engie get shredded by his own sentry. Make sure to crouch after Engie dies. Disguise and sap. Watch out though it only takes one hit from a wrench for you to die. And the Spy is even in speed to most classes only two being faster: Medic, Scout. Disguise as a friendly. You can do this by hitting Y at the disguise kit. For example if you are disguised as a friendly Pyro and you are making your way to their base so you can cloak and disguise, and an enemy comes across you, they will think you are a Pyro and not a Spy. So if you run away and disguise and change directions they will be chasing a ghost. By the time they realized you where a Spy they will either be dead or you will be long gone and already disguised as an enemy. The best disguise you have is the pyro. Why? Because enemy Spies will want to stay away from you. So when you're with your team disguise as a friendly Pyro and if a member on your team is staying away from you, he is most likely a Spy. Disguise rules follow as: 1. Always wait a second when you cloak or disguise. It is not instant. 2. Do not disguise as a scout. It is too obvious that you won't be moving as fast. 3. Do not disguise as a Heavy. Every team knows when they have a Heavy. 4. Do not disguise as a Medic. Every team knows when they have a Medic, and you won't have the Medic gun out. 5. Do not disguise as a Spy. Friendly Spies will have the mask on showing that you are disguised when you disguise as an enemy Spy you won't have a mask on from the enemies view. I Spy check Spies when they don't have a mask on. If you're spotted, don't get into a knife fight. You will lose, unless you get a lucky face or side stab. Run backwards and shoot with your revolver. If you can't catch up to a enemy for a backstab switch to revolver and take them out. You can win because you can get 2-3 shots in before they turn around. It takes 2 wrench hits to take off a sapper. Act your part as the enemy when disguised. Dodge your teams fire and run backwards toward the enemy. CAREFUL NOT TO RUN INTO PEOPLE. When you run into someone when disguised its all over. DON'T DO IT WHEN IT IS NOT NEEDED. If you get Spy checked by the enemy don't react to it. They will most likely walk away. Your true health bar the health bar the enemy see are different. I will stop before I right an essay... Daywalker-san
If you can't catch up to a enemy for a backstab switch to revolver and take them out. You can win because you can get 2-3 shots in before they turn around. I would disagree with this. Its usualy better to just target a different enemy than risk getting picked off by a lucky crit if they spin around quick enough
