littlejay
First, here are the links you will need to use Battlelog and Gun Club as well as any other online features in the future. EA.com Before you use any of the site features for Battlelog/Gun Club you need an EA account. Go to the EA home page here: http://www.ea.com/ There you can make sure your login works, request your password, or make a new account. Make sure your Xbox Live Gamertag is properly linked to your EA account. Also, your gamertag will only work with one EA account. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Battlelog: To view stats, platoons (clans), friends, and a lot of other social features, check out the Battlelog using your EA account: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/gate/ You cannot log into Battlelog until you have played the game at least once. When you have played the game, you may log in and view your stats. CGPsaint has also started a couple of x360a platoons for members of the site. If you wish to join, please check out this link for more information: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=338110 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Gun Club: To get exclusive access to the M1911 Pistol in Battlefield 3, you need to be a member of the EA Gun Club. Sign up for it using your EA account here: http://gunclub.ea.com After you have played a couple of matches, you should be awarded your pistol. (You may have to restart the game for these changes to take effect.) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Battlefield 3 Server Status: If you are having trouble playing the game online, you may look at the status of the Battlefield 3 servers here: http://www.ea.com/servers/battlefield3 You may also check their Facebook and Twitter accounts for updates. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Battlefield 3 Stats Signature: You can go to this site and search for your gamertag to generate a signature for the fourms. They are currently adding more features to the site as well. http://bf3stats.com/#360 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Pepper Promotion: You will need an EA account for these promotions to carry over. Once your EA account is made, you can follow the link to this promotion and make an account on the Dr. Pepper web site: http://www.drpepper.com/promotions/ea There are 6 items available in this promotion. Five dogtags and one set of camo. Six codes and you will have everything. NOTE: It can take a little bit for your rewards to show up. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Act of Valor Dog Tags: You can get another 5 dog tags for free if you visit this link: http://actofvalor.com/bf3 Watch the trailer on the site and afterwards, you will need to choose which platform you are using and sign in with your EA account and the dog tags will be added immediately. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Game Manual: Battlefield 3 does not include a paper manual in the case like you are used to. Instead, EA have put it on the game disc or viewable online as a PDF file found here: http://support.ea.com/ci/fattach/get/785663/ ---------------------------------------------------------------- High Resolution Texture Pack: On console versions of Battlefield 3, textures take a while to load. To help with performance, there is an optional texture pack you can install. The game will load some lower resolution textures if the pack is not installed but is still optional. The texture pack does make a huge difference in how the game looks across all game modes. When you first play the game, you will prompted to install the texture pack. It will consume 1.5Gb of hard drive space. The texture pack install is separate from the normal game install on Xbox 360 and is included on the PS3 install. Video of the difference the texture pack makes: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBvrvqWZEmc]Battlefield 3 - Xbox 360 Texture Install Comparison - YouTube[/ame] ---------------------------------------------------------------- Title Update 1: When you first play Battlefield 3 online, you will be prompted to install your first title update for the game. This update applies several fixes based on feedback from the Beta. Many news sites have held off reviewing the console versions of the game because of the changes the update makes. This update takes up 167MB of hard drive space. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Online Pass and Back to Karkand Expansion: Battlefield 3 requires an online pass to play multiplayer. It comes with all new copies of the game and doubles as the download code for the Back to Karkand Expansion in Limited Edition versions of the game. The online pass is different from the Bad Company 2 VIP pass because you can't play multiplayer without it. Also, all 9 maps in Battlefield 3 will be available for all game modes on day one. The pass can be bought separably if you did not buy the game new. It will cost 800msp and not include the expansion pack that the Limited Edition online pass does. 300 gamerscore in 9 achievements are available for playing the game online and cannot be obtained with the online pass. (Does not include co-op achievements because the lack of the online pass in co-op is not yet known) This expansion pack comes with the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition for free if you pre-order the game or buy it on day one. The Back to Karkand Expansion will be out sometime in December. New copies of the game include this expansion with the online pass with the same code. If you do not have the Limited Edition, it will cost 1200msp when it is released. It comes with 4 remade Battlefield 2 maps, 10 Battlefield 2 weapons, and 3 vehicles. The weapons will be added to the standard Battlefield 3 kit selection on the retail maps. Achievements should be added closer to the expansion's release. I'll keep this updated if anything else comes up. I figured the EA account stuff at least needed to be said and it turned into something more. littlejay
For the high res pack do you just install the disk or do you load up the game and you will be asked if you wanted to install it? it's not the same as the normal disk install. from what people have said, it will ask you the first time you play the game. littlejay
I added some information on the dr pepper promotion just now. I am sure there will be a ton of questions on that. For now, you just have to wait until the add BF3 to the promotion which could take several weeks if it's anything like Bad Company 2.

mrhello123
hi, this is my first post on here so interested to see what it's like. I am trying to get battle log to work on my xbox 360 but I can't get it work no matter how much I try. I have a gamertag that has an e.a account connected to it from fifa 10 and fifa 11. I have also had to make two other origin accounts that are using different e-mail accounts. I have changed my e-mail account from when I first got my gamertag and e.a account but since than I have changed but can log into both. For some reason though when I try to log into battle log it says that there is already an e.a account connected to it. I then try to log into the e.a account but it says that an account with that e-mail/gamertag doesn't exist. Please help as I really want to get it to work. Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance not 100% sure about all this, but im assuming your origin account has to have the same e-mail address that is linked to your ea account as well as your gamertag.
