Introduction:

In Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, you take the role of a lone (or member of a 2-man squad) Empire soldier tasked with infiltrating an Ork Kroozer and killing or destroying everything on board. You will fight your way through 5 key sections of the ship, blowing up important machinery and eliminating all hostiles in your path as your fight your way to the head honcho, the Warboss.

Playthrough 1

In this playthrough you will be looking to collect every Aquila for the Relic Bearer achievement, completing a level without dying or using melee for Honour in My Shield and Devastator respectively, getting points toward your Tactical achievement, doing the half second worth of work for the Master Your Craft achievement and also starting and potentially finishing/accomplishing Bloodbath and Exterminatus. For completing the campaign, you will receive Victory for the Chapter. If you have a friend handy you can also snag yourself Chapter Brother for completing a single mission in co-op.

Playthrough 2

Your second playthrough will revolve around Chapter Master, just play through the game with a different Marine. Playing each Marine during the course of playthrough 2 will help you snag For the Emperor! and if you have not finish the following, you will want to finish these as well: Tactical, Relic Bearer, and Exterminatus.

Survival

Once you finish the campaign the first time around you all Survival maps will be available for you to play. Each map has a designated Space Marine, making this a prime opportunity to grab yourself For the Emperor!. These missions are also very easy to get Bloodbath in and you will most likely finish up Exterminatus in here, depending on whether or not you still need to.

Find all collectables

Each mission has 10 red crates, unique from the rest of the destroyable objects in the game, that can be destroyed with your weapon of choice and will reveal a collectable Aquila/Space Marine token. In general, they are very easy to find, especially after the first few levels with the game becomes a bit more linear. There are a few tricky ones, however, some appear behind objects while others are only visible in certain camera angles and others still are behind the camera, so be sure to check behind and around everything as you progress through the story. Finishing a level will permanently remove all collected boxes from your game to save you some confusion later on, and they will also disappear as you progress through a level and die after collecting the token. This is nice for some of the chase sequences, primarily the Carnifex chase where you pass a couple of tokens that may be missable the first attempt. However, if you exit the game/level without finishing you will have to reacquire all of the tokens you got on that run.

Earn a gold Aquila in every survival challenge

For this achievement you must survive for a certain length of time in each Survival mission (unlock 1 per campaign mission completion). In general, they require you to survive for 3-4 minutes, but once you get the hang of things that should be no problem. Each survival mission has a designated Space Marine that you must use, and all unlocked items are available to you to make things even easier. Some key things are to avoid using important powerups, primarily the heal and invincibility powerups, until after 3min at the minimum. Once you hit around 3:30 in the missions they will begin to get pretty crazy (3:30-4:15). Before then, feel free to use the gun and sword powerups at your discretion, and use your special skill whenever you feel it's necessary. Ideally, having gained some experience from the campaign, you will be able to knock each one of these out in 1 go, but getting a feel for where and when enemies spawn, what powerups spawn, etc. the first time around will only make the second attempt that much easier as everything stays the same.

Achieve a "Bloodbath" kill streak

To get this achievement, you must do a "Bloodbath" kill spree by killing 25 or more enemies in very quick succession (nearly all at once). This can be accomplish a number of times during the campaign by killing the Gretchin (smallest Orks) as they spawn in massive swarms in several locations where you can get this using whatever fast kill method you have (special, grenade, just shooting/cutting). If you have poor luck in the campaign, however, you can get Bloodbath in every one of the Survival missions at various parts and you are nearly guaranteed to get it on at least one of them, even on accident.

Use a special move.

Simply use your special move by pressing :lbbut: once the circle around your Space Marine begins to flash. You don't even have to hit anything with it (although whether it will pop or not without killing something is a toss up, so just kill something with it). This will be your first achievement

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1962/5-otN2Y=.jpgTactical - 10:gsicon:

Unlock all weapons & ability upgrades

To unlock all weapons and ability upgrades you need to simply kill everything and blow everything up for points. Massive killing sprees give huge combo points to help you advance quicker. In general, you will have all of the weapons (one character can unlock all of the weapons in the game) by the end of your first playthrough and you should have all, or nearly all of the upgrades. Doing something similar to the upgrade seems to make it more likely that you will upgrade that first, such as increasing your melee damage always occurred when I killed a number of enemies at close range, even with my gun. Note that survival does not count toward this achievement.

Complete a mission in co-op mode.

Space Marines don't fight alone, and for this achievement a friend is all you need. Just have a second player hop into your game (local only) and complete an entire mission with them. If you don't have any minions at your disposal, you can always just play with yourself and let player 2 die all the time. Mission 1 is probably the best for that tactic as it is fairly short and doesn't involve running from explosions, giant Tyranid's, or a giant walking robot.

Thanks to Mercianix for this shortcut: Play through the level and just before you finish it, join in with a second controller (for Mission 1, do this just before you leave the reactor room through the large door in the back)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1962/5-gMPtM=.jpgHonour in My Shield - 20:gsicon:

Complete a mission without dying.

I would recommend using a ranged class such as the Stemguard Veteran or Techmarine to kill everything before it gets close to you, and if you do it properly you could also pair this with Devastator if you don't melee the whole mission. Obviously, this is best done on Mission 1 as it is both short and easy compared to the other missions.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1962/5-0EFfk=.jpgFor the Emperor - 20:gsicon:

Get over 50 kills with each weapon type.

Get at least 50 kills with each Space Marine's 3 Primary weapons. The Primary weapons are unlocked as you progress through the campaign. Your main playthrough of the campaign will at least give you all of the required kills with your preferred Marine and 3 runs of each of the Survival missions where you play the other Space Marines can get you the remaining kills, just get 50 kills with your desired primary and finish the mission for the gold Aquila (if you need it) or you can just die and restart with a different primary weapon. Repeat with each primary weapon for each Marine to get the achievement. You can also view your status on the kills by looking at the player stats from the main menu and look at the Marine's primary weapon kills (each weapon listed separately).

The 3 Primary weapons for each Space Marine are as follows:

Sternguard Veteran

Heavy Bolter

Plasma Cannon

Missile Launcher

Librarian

Power Sword

Force Sword

Force Sword Epic

Vanguard Veteran

Chainsword

Power Axe

Lightning Claw

Techmarine

Bolter Gun

Plasma Gun

Melta Gun

Play through each mission with two different Space Marines.

This achievement requires you to play through a mission with your preferred Marine and then playthrough again with one of the other 3 Marines. You can do this quickly by hitting x at the end of the mission to replay as a different Marine. You can also play once in coop and once solo with the same marine. If you want to play through twice as the same marine, Galve666 has a great tip: playthrough to the end of each mission and join in for coop using a second controller just before the mission ends. Same idea as chapter brother.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1962/5-im-gA=.jpgExterminatus - 15:gsicon:

Kill 5000 enemies in total.

Very easy to obtain as the game keeps counting your kills without resetting even after you die a bunch of times, allowing people who die constantly to still get this without much trouble. If you died enough, you'll get this in one playthrough, if not you'll get it shortly into your second playthrough or while you do the Survival missions.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1962/5-qH97U=.jpgDevastator - 20:gsicon:

Complete a mission without using melee.

Best done with a ranged class such as the Techmarine or Stemguard Veteran and just rely on your gun and specials (which you will do for 95% of the game anyway), just make sure you don't hit A during the course of the mission. Any class can do this, and overall it's easiest for all of the classes to do it on the first mission (especially with a Melee-based class).

Secret Achievement

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1962/5-8lHEw=.jpgVictory for the Chapter - 20:gsicon:

Defeat the Warboss!

Ok, not much of a secret, but the Epic-ness of the fight was definitely surprising. The entire fight makes up the majority of the last mission, and the Warboss isn't exactly fighting you fairly. Just destroy his Stompa after shooting all of it's weapons, electrocuting it, blowing it up, etc. and you'll get this achievement.

Just a heads up, you only need 50 kills with their primary weapons (as tracked in player stats) I got that last night and didn't use a classes secondary weapon. Found it easiest in survival mode, achievement popped after the 50th kill with the Techmarine. :)

Thanks! Another slightly misleading achievement name I guess.

Bloodbath is also very easy and fast to obtain in the first survival stage as there are also quite a lot grots simultaniously rushing you which is fine for your psi-power.

Anyway. Am I doing something wrong? I find this game incredibly hard. By now I played the Librarian and can't get through level 2. Destroy multiple targets while infinite Orks are respawning around you? I can get one power core down but then my health is so low, I hardly make it to the second. Not to mention the four (?) others. Quite frustrating.

You should mention that Chapter Brother can be obtained solo simply by adding a second player before triggering the end of the level. I added a librarian using a local profile after beating the hive tyrant and it unlocked on the score screen about 2 seconds later. Saves carrying a second player through the levels.

Only thing to note is that a message appeared claiming only the main player gets any achievements when I did this.

seems like an odd way to put it.. can i play one mission as my 4th favourite space marine and the rest as my 3rd? :)

just leave the bolded bit off, i reckon!

Something to also note about Chapter Master: It does not work in co-op. If you finish the game in co-op mode then do it again with different marines on co-op again it WON'T unlock. I tried this with my girlfriend. First time through I was a Sternguard and she was a Librarian. Second time I was a Vanguard and she was the Techmarine. No unlock after the boss.

I've yet to find out if you can do one co-op run and then a single player run to unlock it. I'm part-way through my solo run.

The achievement requires you to have 2 "characters" highlighted with a score at the mission select screen.

So you need to either do a solo run through with 2 different characters or a co-op and a solo.

@Harthugaut - the Game are not too hard. You must use the Powerups to the right time.

I die on the end of the first Level.

To use the Powerups to the end (Rapidfire when the bigger Orks come), make it easy. And this is the same in the rest of the Game.

The hardest for me - after the Carnifex, where you have to kill all the enemys. To the end they defeat me. Take me a few runs.

I am now on my second run.

First with the Sternguard Veteran, now i try the Techmarine.

I think, it will be better to have a ranged class. And the Turret will be do a good job too. Great Game.
