I have shot people that were disguised but did not get the achievement a few times. Were you maybe an Operative ? When you focused to shoot maybe it revealed him. Maybe others can comment too and I'll change it.

I have them in this order because it's what the site has them as. I may change it to class specific and spruce things up if more people think it's needed. Thanks for the input, appreciate it!

I've also shot people who were disguised and not got the achievement.

There's one thing that doesn't make sense to me in your guide. The details for Smart Decisions Win Battles. You keep saying in the description to revive the person who IS NOT tied to the objective, yet the achievement description says the exact opposite, and the achievement title implies the opposite... You should be reviving the person who IS tied to the objective. Hence being a smart decision. So in your escort example, you should revive the MEDIC, not the other random class. Unless you get the achievement by doing the exact opposite of the achievement description and it was just programmed like that.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, your method of unlocking all Audio Logs can't possibly be correct. Your method implies that you will have to unlock Tough As Nails by the time you unlock all audio logs. Last night my friend got the achievement for all audio logs, but he still hasn't done the last two Security campaign missions on versus, nor the last 3 Resistance campaign missions.

Great guide, but I just wanted to point out a few things

For the "Great Shot Kid. One in a million" achievements I had to kincapacitate the enemy by shooting the grenade for it to unlock not by just knocking them over.

I know this is still a WIP, but I found a couple of common typos that I figured I would let you know about. :)

  • Introduction section

"Jus play all campaign missions this way to assure your 1000 comes easy."

  • Step 1: Campaign on versus mode

"It is imortant you play on Versus mode from the start of the campaign."

"This gives you more XP, ensures you unlock the needed Audio Diaries, and potentally will make your campaign run faster."

  • You shall not pass!

This sould come naturally and is easier on some levels.

  • Not so sneaky now are you?

You must then focus your aim on them (holding http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/lt.png) and reval them.

  • Its a trap!

You can also make it explode when lookng at it and the icon above it indicates you can detonate.

  • Smart Decisions Win Battles

While a Medic, you will have no real objetives to complete like the other classes do.

  • Brinkmanship

Note: As long as you are in disguise when an opertive objective is complete

  • "T'is better to give than receive" achievement

As you run around as a Medic, you will get oppurtunity to refill your team's supplies. An interaction prompt will appear on the team member who needs them or is low. Refill by holdig http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/x.png on them.

I have obtained this achievement by simply just killing an enemy I knew was disguised. He had my gamertag and my friend saw him go into the disguise so I simply shot the hell out of him and the achievement popped without having to use this ability.

Other than that this looks to be a good guide. I would like to add that you generally have the achievements in random order. Perhaps organizing them by the class necessary to unlock it, Miscellaneous, and then Story related (not really, but kinda fits as a category). But just some extra organization would help.

As it is now thought. Seemingly great guide for a fairly easy 1000 GS.

I can also confirm that I got this achievement by shooting an AI who was disguised as my friend while we played co-op. I was an engineer and it popped no problem for me.

Tyger I can confirm what that guy says is true. I was a Medic (I know 100% I was) and I saw an enemy who was disguised but didn't know at first. I was trying to Buff him but couldn't so I shot him because I said "Screw you AI" and it injured him so I kept shooting and killed him and got the achievement. Luck of the draw on my part =p

Suggestion for your guide, make sure to get ALL of the challenge achievements out of the way before you do anything - the bots get progressively harder as you level, so if you knock these out as a rank 1, they're super easy. I didn't know this, and ended up deciding to do them around rank 15. Couldn't get past 2 star objective (spent 2 hrs trying...), read that they're easier if you do them first. So I started a fresh character, and blew through all 3 stars on all 4 challenges without failing once.

Also, as for the revealing a disguised character, I just happened to see somebody who looked like me (as an engineer). I was like, "wtf? That's gotta be a bot in disguise!" - so I shot him. Didn't kill him, and figured the achievement was glitched. Different game, same thing, except this time I -DID- kill him, and I got it.

I did the challenges 1st to unlock everything, Then redid another character and did the camp and had all the weapon unlocks avaialable, so that way whatever my rank was after finishing the challenges wont make my life a misery for the camp

Yes true thats why I said do it after by creating a new character ;) ill still be modifying the guide a bit.

For the audio logs, you do not need to play versus. I didn't even try versus until the other day and already had all the audio logs. I played campaign on my own and was getting 1 every match, when I played campaign co-op I was getting 2 every level we finished. So as other people have said, they are somewhat random but not completely. You will get the achievement even if you never play versus.

Great guide Tyger, just a quick question how many of the achievements can be done in private games, that require no AI. alot of ppl are saying all the achievements can be gotten on your own in a private match but how much of that is true...

Many thanks

I'm not sure "That mine you found? Disarmed" can be done alone. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I tried on my own, no bots. Planted a mine, team swapped and changed to operative. Went to where I planted the landmine, and it was not there. walked over the spot and I was safe.

Attempt to Revive an objective-class teammate over a non-objective teammate near a Primary Objective

Required Class: Medic

Required Ability: Standard Medic Kit

Ability Unlocked: Rank 1 (automatically unlocked)

While a Medic, you will have no real objectives to complete like the other classes do. While at an objective, there are times when multiple people will get downed near it. If you revive the class which is not tied to that specific objective, but they are both near it, then you will unlock the achievement.

About VIP escort missions: While you are escorting certain AI characters who are injured, you may think you can get the achievement easily by healing someone else instead of him while he is down. This is not true. Though, if there is a downed class by a downed medic near the VIP, you can heal that class and get the achievement as the medic is the one with the objective to heal.

Note: Like the description mentions. this must be a primary objective which are always gold on your objective dial. They are also listed before you start the missions.

Smart decision info is correct. Read the description it again it will make more sense.

I still stand by my original statement that your description for Smart Decisions Win Battles is incorrect. Having just got the achievement last night, I know it is incorrect. I highlighted in bold where you specifically say to revive the non-objective class teammate, as opposed to the one specific to the objective. This is not how you get the achievement!

For example, my co-op partner was downed near the mainframe we had to hack. He was a medic. An AI bot got downed near it as well. He was an operative. I revived the operative and got the achievement. He was the one tied to the objective, so I revived him. Your description is saying to do the exact opposite, which is not correct.

It can be done offline, but not alone! Someone else has to defuse your mine. A bot can do it, but I'm sure it's pretty rare, seeing as how garbage the AI is. Your only hope would be to spot an enemy mine on a missions where an Engineer has the primary objective to complete, and hope they defuse the mine you spotted.

I had no luck with this, however. I spotted mines, and the AI would just run right over them, even though I had spotted them, and get killed. Morons.

Good guide. There is more to the audio logs than playing VS though. I just finished all levels in VS mode and am still missing 22. I wish the reqs were a bit more clear in this game but oh well

Just keep winning missions and you'll unlock the rest. After I did every mission in online versus (except the two Security What-ifs) I still needed around 15. I played private games over and over on the same map to get XP and level up to 20, and I unlocked all the Audio logs along the way. Not to mention I was playing the same map over and over.

I never played Versus until after I got the 1k in this game.

Pretty sure its just completing matchs, easy only giving 1 new audio log and hard giving 2 new audio logs. I dont remember for normal, I think it was 2 new audio logs as well.

My last 12 audio logs revolved around me playing the Reactor level as Security and defending for the 10 mins at a time. Each time I finished the match, I got 1 new audio log as I was doing it on Easy. I was fixing my character's skill tree, so I resetted from Level 20 to Level 19 twice.

OK thanks. im playing everything solo with no bots at the moment just in case. but yeah it seems like it's just wins.

edit: got it. for the audio logs, the only thing ive done in the game is play online vs, freeplay solo no bots, then solo freeplay the terminal a few times to rank up. so all you need to do is win matches to get the audio logs

Going to bump this up because this is the far superior guide :p.

The writer ( No Offense ) of the other one didn't even go through ANY of the guidelines to writing an Achievement Guide for this site.

I just don't see why somebody would bother heh.

Well, what do I know eh?

Another great guide, keep up the good work. :]
