Teh Paralyzer
THE US AND JPN VERSION ARE DIFFERENT. RANKS E,D,C,B and A US and EU D,C,B,A and S JPN These are all story related achievements minus the weapon ones, young lady and the medicine one is missable. Road Map by TVthePunisher Overview: - Estimated achievement difficulty: 5/10 (unless you use a guide to help you through "Weapon Crazy", then likely down to 3.5/10) - Offline: 12 (1000:gsicon:) - Approximate amount of time to 1000:gsicon:: 4-6 hours (IF you combine your "Weapon Crazy" run with everything else) or 10-15 hours - Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (IF you combine your Weapon Crazy run with everything else) otherwise 2 - Number of missable achievements: 3 (Duty and Humanity, Weapon Crazy, From the Young Lady) - Do cheat codes disable achievements?: No cheats - Does difficulty affect achievements: Yes (Easy mode is JPN only) - Glitchy achievements: N/A - Unobtainable achievements: N/A http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/+8VXNA==.jpgThe Terror Begins 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Escape from the graveyard of terror. -Story Related- This is after the beginning of the game when you exit your cell you are in a graveyard. Just leave the graveyard from the opposite door. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/+eRegQ==.jpgA Changed Father 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Liberate the changed man. -Story Related- When the catwalk collapses with Steve and Claire and a cutscene triggers where Steve finds his father. This is the only time you play as Steve. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/+ASmEg==.jpgBeyond the Shades 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Encounter a former S.T.A.R.S. captain. -Story Related- Walking back to the Courtyard around the time you give the medicine to Rodrigo a cutscene will trigger (where Wesker backhands Claire) This is the first time you encounter Wesker http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/-aZN6w==.jpgThe Fallen Tyrant 100 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Flatten an unstoppable enemy. -Story Related- During the fight with T- 078 TYRANT weaken him a bit until you fell you hurt him enough (its hard to tell depending on how you fought him) then jettison the luggage by pushing the control panel. If he was weak enough he should fly out with it. The Bow Gun is the ideal weapon. Use Explosives if you have them and use all the Bow Gun Ammo you have. If you have the Grenade Launcher the Gas Rounds will help a decent amount also. if you push the switch too early you will have to damage him all over again. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/-Ea1eA==.jpgThe Prisoner Who Lost Everything 100 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Defeat the nameless man and end his suffering. -Story Related- On the Antarctic Helipad when Claire and Steve try to walk down you will see Nosferatu is coming up the walkway. He takes about 4 sniper shots to the chest. Distance yourself away as he will throw poison which you will need a blue herb mixed to heal. If you get to far away you won't be able to see him even with the sniper scope He can knock you off the edge and cause instant death. Do not waste any shots with the sniper. If you become poisoned a Blue Herb will not fix this thus adding an extra objective when you play as Chris. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/-me8zQ==.jpgTo The Frozen Land 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Begin the search for your sister. -Story Related- After leaving Rockfort Island to the Antartic Base with Chris http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/-4dEXg==.jpgThe Arrogant Queen 150 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Put an end to the Queen's reign. -Story Related- The boss fight with Alexia in Alexia's Chamber she takes one hit but if you're too slow she will kill Claire. She has 3 forms The first is in the Mansion Foyer the next two are later at her chamber. The 2nd form is the toughest because she can poison you.On the Final Form Grab the Linear Launcher to kill her. The Magnum and Grenade launcher are best. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1866/-KBQUA==.jpgDuty and Humanity 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Deliver some medicine to a man in need. In the Training Facility Recreation Room. You need the Biohazard card to get in. Once you have the Medicine return to the start of the game and give it to Rodrigo. He will give you a lockpick. Follow the Weapon Crazy Run to see how to obtain this as it must be done to get the Rocket Launcher. Edited March 4, 2013 by Teh Paralyzer

To get the Rocket Launcher, you must get an "A" ranking for the entire game. The following below is what is required for that ranking: DO NOT: Do not save Do not retry Do not use First Aid Spray Pause the game (it adds time still) SHOULD DO: Give Rodrigo the medicine and Save Steve from the Luger room quickly Complete game in under 4 hours and 30 minutes Save during Part 1 to Part 2 transition Use herbs Skip every cutscene NOTE: JPN and EU version have an Easy mode. This will not unlock the achievement if you play on this mode for the ranking. In JPN version you need to S rank (not A rank). Walkthrough can be found HERE To make things easier the Value Swap Glitch wasn't removed in this port and you can use this to give yourself infinite Herbs [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6UfW_ylhKU]Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD Version - Value Swap Glitch (Infinite Health/Herbs!) - YouTube[/ame] Credit to CaRC1n0g2n for the video http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1866/-v5FAg==.jpgBattle Master 150 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Get the Linear Launcher from Battle Game. After you gain control of Steve Burnside back track to Claire for this achievement. It unlocks when Steve goes back through the door. Once the T-Veronica Virus takes effect your comrade will mutate into a Green Giant. Run the second you have control and make it to the closing gate. A cutscene will trigger It is not true that if you reach this point without 2 full healing items you can't progress. Explosive Bow Gun and Grenade Launcher shots can push the monster back giving you extra time to escape his axe. Daniel55645
if they have the very easy mode where you start with the rocket launcher like they did for the japanese release on the PS2, getting the grade a will be no problem but since theres an achievment for it im guessing there wont be

The Stray
Darn, beat me to it for the guide, other than that, yes, this will be a On Demand release in the States, no word on price/release as when they should announce it until the fall placeholder as they mentioned, and paralyzer, you forgot to put in the info on which this "Young Lady" meets Claire. And also put "Young Lady" in between "Shades" and "Tyrant", then "Green Giant" in between "Frozen Land" and "Arrogant Queen". Since that's how the story related achs will be unlocked in that order. Ha sorry bro I really really wanted to write this so I jumped at the first chance I got. I haven't put them in unlock order yet I have them in the way the list defaults. I'll fix it soon. I didn't put the description yet because I can't remember what part that is. I'm currently playing through the game to find out when you earn that achievement. The Stray
The "Young Lady" ach. refers to Claire meeting the fake Alexia (aka Alfred) right after you pick up the 3rd proof after exiting the mansion, a cut-scene will trigger. And I think "Frozen Land" is supposed to unlock right after leaving Rockfort Island to the Antartic Base with Chris, not when you start at R.I., since he takes a plane to the base. Quick follow-up to 2 achs. to make sense and also spoiler-free. Edited July 9, 2011 by The Stray

The Stray
Well, if you look into the achievement "To The Frozen Land", this applies to the Antartic Base like I said, I know the description is kinda misleading, but I've already played this enough to understand, but we'll see how it really unlocks when it gets released.
After Nosferatu a cutscene triggers. When it's over you play as Chris back at Rockfort Island This is wrong, accoring to the achievement name, this is when Chris goes to Alaska. After you get the Eagle Plate and dissolve it to get the axe from the eagle, you find a jet or whatever it is. I think it's obvios because of the achievement picture. When Chris arrives at Rockfort Island, he get there by boat, not a plane. Besides, I don't think there'd be 2 story achievements so together considering the rest are distant from each other. The Stray
Umm, you do or don't know that I already told Teh Paralyzer that, and BTW, its Antartica, not Alaska.

The Stray
Yep, last I checked, When I played the DC, PS2, and GC versions (all US ports), there are no selectable difficulties, but I wonder if the Diff. selection is only in the JP ports as they say or some other reigion? But who knows...
TVthePunisher
I believe that's where I heard of it, being in the Japanese ports. I sometimes hear about it on message boards where players go through on different difficulty modes but I'm assuming they might have the Japanese version or something. I thought maybe the UK version got an extra difficulty, since they had the Extreme European Difficulty (not sure if that's the name) for Metal Gear Solid 3 x.x not sure if that would matter for Resident Evil, different companies and what not.
