Jonny Ward
Anyone know any good methods to rank fast other than boosting? i'm finding this such a slow process to rank up
DIZORIAN87
i find the best way is by boosting a royal rumble by going to eliminate ur boosting partner and keep taking turns pressing the wrong buttons. You get 50 xp bonus everytime you stay in.
Beastmaster
how do you offset that huge penalty you get at the end of the match? i was doing this with someone and finished the match with 3k points, but after the penalty I got only 650 points. DIZORIAN87
i havnt got a penalty yet what is that about.
Beastmaster
The few times I've tried to use the rumble after the match was over and the points were given out I got a huge penalty of a few thousand points both times. I'm not really sure I got the penalty. It only happened in that mode so I've never played it again, not worth spending 30 minutes doing a match to end up with 650 points, which I could get in a diva's cage match in under 3 minutes. RecklessMatten
I think the penalty is for you getting eliminated. I have done a few rumbles and only got penalties on matches I got eliminated.
Beastmaster
ahh so the penalty comes from how many times you get eliminated? Yeah I do think I got eliminated a few times when I was boosting the mode. Another time I got into a game with 2 guys boosting, needless to say that wasn't fun as they teamed up and tossed me out with their finishers nearly immediately after coming into the match. I'd figure three people using taunts, throwing out one CPU controlled person at a time would be a very efficiant way of tackling the mode, then each blocking being thrown out for a while. If of coarse the penalty is really from how many times you get thrown out. Although in the one I was boosting, I can't imagine I was thrown out more than once or twice and still took nearly 2000 point penalty
Jonny Ward
I thought the penalty was from not having a full game? with the whole 20% experience increase or whatever everytime a player joins?
Beastmaster
I doubt it's from not playing a full game, I've played three full rumbles and got a penalty each time. Two of them weren't even boosting, it was just me playing normally. All three times I've taken a 2k penalty. I'm not really sure why, I know people are saying this way is best, but I can't for the life of me figure this penalty out.
brotherlyquasar
I've found the better the match, the more the points. typical 5 minute match for me, many reversals (when people spam the running spear or suplex), taunts, 3 or 4 finishers a piece, net's me about 700 with a loss, 1400 with a win. Jonny Ward
no i meant full game as in full amount of players.. and as for the running spamers that genuinely is how i lose, i don't know whether im shit at it or my pad is broken or what but i just seem to struggle with reversing 70% of the time, its a joke
