SinRG
With the NXE (New Xbox Experience) update, users were now able to install their games directly to their HDD. The benefits included faster load times (with the exception of a few), quieter drive, and no disc reading. As of August 11th, 2009, another update was applied that would reduce the size of the install file. Below you will be able to find Xbox 360 games and their respective install size after the August 11th, 2009 update, and the difference compared to the NXE install size. NOTE: It appears on average that there is at least a minimum of 100 MB saved (again, with the exception of a few), however, some games are reduced by an upwards of 3 GB. As of now, NTSC/PAL games will have the same install size. Also special thanks to everyone who has contributed, without such contributions this thread would not be able to exist! *constantly updating, share experiences please!* Install Size Chart + Green denotes a postive change (file size decreased from NXE install size). + Red denotes a negative or zero change (file size has increased or is the same as the NXE install size). + Black denotes an unknown change (file size change is unknown due to a release post August 11th, 2009 or information has not yet been acquired) - # - [0.0 GB] 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand - 6.4 GB - A - [0.8 GB] AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack - 2.6 GB [1.3 GB] Ace Combat 6 - 5.1 GB [0.1 GB] Afro Samurai - 3.3 GB [0.0 GB] Alone in the Dark - 6.5 GB [0.7 GB] Amped 3 - 6.0 GB [0.0 GB] Armored Core 4 - 5.9 GB [0.7 GB] Armored Core for Answer - 6.0 GB [0.7 GB] Army of Two - 5.0 GB [0.1 GB] Assassin's Creed - 6.6 GB - B - [0.4 GB] Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts - 6.2 GB [x.x GB] Batman: Arkham Asylum - 6.7 GB [2.2 GB] Battle Fantasia - 1.2 GB [1.6 GB] Battlefield: Bad Company - 4.9 GB [0.4 GB] Battlefield 2: Modern Combat - 6.2 GB [0.1 GB] Battlestations: Pacific - 4.9 GB [0.7 GB] Beautiful Katamari - 2.7 GB [0.6 GB] Bee Movie Game - 2.8 GB [1.4 GB] Bioshock - 4.7 GB [0.3 GB] Bionic Commando - 6.5 GB [1.7 GB] Bionicle Heroes - 1.7 GB [1.3 GB] Blazblue - 3.0 GB [0.8 GB] Blazing Angels - 2.6 GB [0.2 GB] Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII - 6.2 GB [0.1 GB] Blitz: The League - 6.3 GB [0.1 GB] Blitz: The League II - 6.7 GB [0.4 GB] Blue Dragon (Disc 1) - 6.2 GB [0.2 GB] Blue Dragon (Disc 2) - 6.3 GB [0.1 GB] Blue Dragon (Disc 3) - 6.7 GB [0.1 GB] Bolt - 5.3 GB [0.2 GB] Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway - 5.0 GB [0.2 GB] Bullet Witch - 5.0 GB [0.4 GB] Bully: Scholarship Edition - 3.0 GB [0.6 GB] Burnout Paradise - 2.8 GB [0.8 GB] Burnout Revenge - 3.6 GB - C - [0.7 GB] Call of Duty 2 - 5.3 GB [0.0 GB] Call of Duty 3 - 5.8 GB [0.2 GB] Call of Duty 4 - 6.5 GB [0.1 GB] Call of Duty: World at War - 6.4 GB [0.3 GB] Call of Juarez - 5.9 GB [0.7 GB] Chromehounds - 3.5 GB [1.4 GB] Civilization Revolution - 4.9 GB [2.5 GB] Clive Barker's Jericho - 3.1 GB [2.0 GB] Condemned - 3.4 GB [1.3 GB] Conflict: Denied Ops - 4.8 GB [0.0 GB] Crackdown - N/A *cannot be installed to HDD* - D - [1.9 GB] Dark Sector - 1.3 GB [0.1 GB] Dead or Alive 4 - 6.7 GB [0.0 GB] Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 - N/A *cannot be installed to HDD* [0.7 GB] Dead Rising - 5.9 GB [0.2 GB] Dead Space - 6.4 GB [1.4 GB] Death Smiles (J) - 2.0 GB [0.2 GB] Devil May Cry 4 - 6.5 GB [1.1 GB] DoDonPachi Daioujou BL X (J) - 2.3 GB [0.2 GB] Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit - 3.2 GB [1.5 GB] Dynasty Warriors Gundam - 4.1 GB - E - [0.1 GB] Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard - 5.5 GB [0.1 GB] Enchanted Arms - 6.6 GB [0.1 GB] Eternal Sonata - 6.7 GB - F - [0.2 GB] Fable 2 - 6.6 GB [0.4 GB] Fallout 3 - 5.5 GB [0.9 GB] Far Cry 2 - 3.6 GB [0.4 GB] Far Cry: Instincts - 4.5 GB [0.2 GB] F.E.A.R. - 3.8 GB [0.7 GB] F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin - 4.2 GB [0.7 GB] FIFA 09 - 5.3 GB [0.2 GB] Fight Night 3 - 3.2 GB [0.2 GB] Fight Night Round 4 - 4.2 GB [0.6 GB] FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage - 4.3 GB [0.6 GB] Forza 2 - 4.7 GB [0.3 GB] Fracture - 3.8 GB [0.5 GB] Fuel - 3.7 GB [0.1 GB] Full Auto - 3.3 GB - G - [0.0 GB] G-Force - 4.4 GB [0.2 GB] Gears of War - 6.3 GB [0.4 GB] Gears of War 2 - 6.3 GB [0.3 GB] Ghostbusters - 6.2 GB [0.3 GB] Grand Theft Auto IV - 6.5 [x.x GB] Guitar Hero 5 - x.x GB *NTSC releases Sept 1st* [1.0 GB] Guitar Hero II - 2.4 GB [0.0 GB] Guitar Hero III - 3.4 GB [0.6 GB] Guitar Hero World Tour - 5.9 GB [0.1 GB] Guitar Hero: Aerosmith - 4.4 GB [0.0 GB] Guitar Hero: Metallica - 6.8 GB [2.1 GB] Guitar Hero: Smash Hits - 2.9 GB [1.5 GB] Gun - 2.1 GB - H - [0.6 GB] Halo 3 - 5.7 GB *will perform worse when installed (longer load times), not recommended* [x.x GB] Halo: ODST - x.x GB *NTSC releases Sept 22nd* [0.5 GB] Halo Wars - 5.7 GB - I - [1.3 GB] Infinite Undiscovery (Disc 1) - 4.7 GB [0.4 GB] Infinite Undiscovery (Disc 2) - 6.1 GB [0.0 GB] Iron Man - 6.8 GB - K - [0.5 GB] Kameo - 5.4 GB [0.3 GB] King Kong - 6.2 GB [2.7 GB] King of Fighters XII - 0.7 GB [1.6 GB] Kung Fu Panda - 3.6 GB - L - [1.3 GB] Left 4 Dead - 3.7 GB [0.0 GB] Lego Batman - 6.0 GB [0.9 GB] Lego Indiana Jones - 3.5 GB [x.x GB] Lego Star Wars II - x.x GB (NXE = 3.4 GB) [0.1 GB] Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga - 5.7 GB [0.4 GB] Lost Odyssey (Disc 1) - 5.4 GB [0.6 GB] Lost Odyssey (Disc 2) - 4.6 GB [0.5 GB] Lost Odyssey (Disc 3) - 5.8 GB [0.1 GB] Lost Odyssey (Disc 4) - 5.9 GB [0.0 GB] Lost Planet - 6.8 GB - M - [0.3 GB] Madden 08 - 5.8 GB [0.1 GB] Madden 09 - 6.6 GB [0.0 GB] Madden 10 - 5.7 GB [0.4 GB] Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - 5.5 GB [x.x GB] Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 - x.x GB *NTSC releases Sept 15th* [0.0 GB] Mass Effect - 6.8 GB [0.2 GB] Mirror's Edge - 5.5 GB [0.1 GB] MLB 2K9 - 6.6 GB [0.0 GB] Monster Madness - 3.4 GB Edited August 26, 2009 by SinRG

SinRG
Thanks everyone, updating now! Surprisingly, Mass Effect stayed at 6.8 GB. Keep em coming! [EDIT] Just installed Halo 3, went from 6.3 GB to 5.7 GB. Again, not recommended that you install as it increases load times, but I did so to prevent the disc from spinning and quiet down the system. Bleeding Star
May I make a suggestion, change the games that go down in space green or something and the ones that stay change them to red to make it easier at a glance or something And possibly a [-1GB] at the end or something, other than that a great idea

I added a [x.x GB] at the front, green indicates positive change, red indicates no change or negative change. Does it look out of place or too annoying? I was considering making a table of some kind but I'm not sure how to formulate it into a forum-esc one. For now I'll just leave it as be until I collect more information and decide what to do from there. I wasn't really considering a wiki-type page, was only planning on having it on Xbox360Achievements forum.

Iregore
My main reason for suggesting a Wiki is that there are a lot of games and it would be easier to maintain if people can edit the page themselves with the games they have tested. Also, if like me you do not have both details for your games to cross compare you can enter one and someone else can fill in the blank.
