Creech
Overview: Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10 Offline: 42 [895 ] Online: 0 [0 ] Approximate time: 25-40 Hours (Campaign) and 15-30 Hours (Strategy Game) Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 Campaign playthrough and 1 complete Strategy game and 2-3 partial Strategy games Missable achievements: Blueprint Collector and Lean Mean Green Machine Does difficulty affect Achievements: Yes, certain island capture achievements require higher difficulties in the Strategy Game menu Unobtainable/glitched Achievements: Yes - Revenge is Sweet (75 ), Titanic (20 ) and Fence Off (10 ) are all broken and cannot be earned in either version of the game. The developer has confirmed they will not be patched. Extra equipment needed?: No Is there DLC? No Introduction Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is a strategy/action game with various other gaming elements such as FPS and flight simulator built in as well. The gameplay consists of both a campaign and a strategy sandbox. Overall it was poorly received (x360a review score of 50), is considered to have horrible team AI, abysmal path finding routines, and a sub-par FPS interface. Note that three achievements are broken and are 100% unobtainable. This game stacks with NTSC and PAL versions, so in theory you can earn 895 in each version for a total gamerscore of 1790 . Walk-through The first step is to play the Gaea campaign, which is intended to teach you how to play the game and give you a start on the various grinding achievements. All of the non-glitched secret achievements will be earned in this play through, as well as many of "kill one of these" achievements. There are also two collectible achievements which can be missed and can only be earned in the campaign, and I recommend doing all of the Road Kill achievements early. The game freezes frequently, so save after every significant battle. The game also tends to freeze if you have the inventory or equipment screens open when you reach a new island, so make sure those are closed before reaching a destination. The campaign can be divided into four parts: Reaching Outpost - This is essentially the tutorial and walks you through capturing a few islands in a linear manner. Capturing Fulcrum - You are tasked with finding technology required to capture Fulcrum, the enemy stockpile and main defensive hub. There are a variety of islands you have access to, and despite the exhortations from your AI partners, there is no rush. Take your time, capture ALL of the islands you have access to, build up your resources, and THEN capture Fulcrum. Assaulting Thermopylae - Your first step should be to hunt down the enemy carrier and damage it enough that Dr. Shin gives you a reluctant compliment. This will give you time to capture several of his islands while he nurses his wounds. Once he recovers, he will start capturing your islands. If you have an idea of where he might attack next, you can set it to a defense instead of production or mining, and that will increase how long it takes him to capture an island, but there is no need to actually rush over to that island and stop the invasion. Instead, focus on capturing his islands and finishing up the research achievement, then take out the power plants protecting Thermopylae. The last part of the main campaign is to personally lead a group of Walruses across Thermopylae with a time limit. If you don't finish on time, you lose, so don't waste time. Save frequently! End game - The end game is two chases of Dr. Shin. One in the air, with an achievement, and one on foot with a broken achievement. Once you shoot down his Manta, you can quit the campaign unless you are interested in the cheesy ending. The remaining achievements should be earned in the sandbox mode, which is marked as "Strategy Game" in the main menu. Capture five islands without loading a save game for the three Hardcore achievements and then all the rest of the islands on the map (loading permitted) for Conqueror of the Dead Zone. Once those unlock, save the game and use that save to earn Millionaire and Hammer and Nails. All of the achievements related to capturing islands of various difficulties are next, although you can repeatedly load a save game to make this more bearable. Any remaining grinding achievements can be done at this point in a new sandbox using similar settings. Many of the grinding achievements can be earned simply through saving before incrementing the appropriate counter (kill a turret, for example) and then reloading after performing the action in question. There is no in-game mechanism for tracking your progress on the "Kill x" achievements, and as with many other aspects of the game, the developers were unable to figure out how to properly increment a counter by one. As an example, Barricade Blaster Mk.I didn't unlock until I had destroyed three turrets by direct control, whereas Road Kill Mk.III unlocked after my 72nd time of running over an infantry unit. However, they do all unlock eventually, so keep grinding and hope for glitches to unlock the achievements earlier rather than later. General Gameplay Hints The path finding routines in the game are generally broken, although the return to base function usually works fairly well. As such, one way to avoid frustration at the AI is to not use it. You can invade most islands using a technique involving one Manta at a time to scout and destroy turrets production facilities one at a time, returning to the carrier if you take damage. You alternately can take one Walrus and manually drive it around, frequently repairing and re-arming as necessary. Focus on clearing out areas with resupply first so that you don't have to go all the way back to the carrier, or move your carrier with you. It is a good technique to destroy the enemy's radar installation as a top priority as that will reduce the reinforcements sent from other areas on the island when you attack a base. If you decide to roll out more than one unit at a time, make sure that you don't leave them behind. Set your "main" unit to have the others assist, and keep an eye on the others. The switching units mechanism is one of the features that works very well in the game, so if you see that one of your supporting units is stuck or falling behind, jump to control it, get it caught up, and then jump back to your main unit. Doing so does not break the assist command. In the campaign, the only time I found this necessary however was to have a unit providing air cover while I destroyed the land units and turrets. There are several set scenes (including the assault on Thermopylae) where you don't have this luxury, and you just have to make do. Save often. When you have to have multiple units operate switches at the same time, park one unit near the switch it will operate but facing away so you have some visibility. The AI will often spawn nearby and attack you while the other unit is getting in position, and if you are facing the wall the Walrus will have reduced ability to defend itself. When island hopping, use the time where you are warping to evaluate your island assignments. It takes a little while to convert from one type to another, but if you run out of resources you can easily find yourself wasting hours while production catches back up. Conclusion When complete, you should have 895 . You can then move on to another - better - game or import the other version and work on getting 895 in that one instead. Creech
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-97GXo=.jpg Island Hopper 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture over 250 islands This achievement can only be earned in the Strategy Game. Islands captured in Campaign do not count. Note that there are multiple other achievements for capturing different types of islands and three for capturing islands without loading a save, so for maximum efficiency ensure that you have all the rest of the island capture achievements before trying to grind this out. See the guide for Iron Fist Mk.III for instructions on how to grind any remaining islands needed. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/+irgfw==.jpg 5 Finger Discount 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture the enemy Stockpile This achievement can only be earned in the Strategy Game, not the Campaign. The enemy Stockpile is the island designated with a warehouse icon on the right edge of the island when looking at the strategic map. You merely need to capture the island to unlock the achievement. See Hardcore MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-jLwio=.jpg Millionaire 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Mine over 1 million in resources This achievement is cumulative across all games and can be earned in either the campaign or a strategy game. See Hammer and Nails for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-vs1iQ=.jpg Hammers And Nails 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Produce over 1000 items This achievement is cumulative across all games and can be earned in either the campaign or a strategy game. Finish the campaign first to make progress as well as most of your other Strategy Game scenarios before working on this. You should focus on earning the Millionaire and Hammer and Nails achievements at the same time since they are closely related. You need a save file where you control almost all of the islands. I suggest using the save file as noted in the guide for Hardcore MK.III for maximum efficiency. To earn these, you need to order up the production of one million units worth of resources and one thousand items. The most expensive item is a Torpedo, which costs 7,000. If you order 100 Torpedoes to be built, you already have 700,000 out of the way. Throw in 50 Howitzers and there is your 1,000,000. If you have played at all before attempting this, you won't actually need that much since it is cumulative across all games. You also need 1,000 units, so order the production of 900 or so Fuel first, and then focus on the expensive items. As soon as Hammer and Nails unlocks, you can change the production order to move the remaining Fuel in queue to the bottom. Obviously, you want to be in Time Warp while doing this. The best way to do this so you don't have to constantly refuel your carrier is to select an island that is out of your current fuel range and tell your carrier to go there. You will run out of fuel and sit in the middle of the ocean with Time Warp still in effect. The only thing that could knock you out is if the enemy carrier happens to come into detection range, so having already sunk him before doing this is a good idea. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/+Avpyg==.jpg Conqueror Of The Dead Zone 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture all enemy islands in the Dead Zone This achievement can only be earned in the Strategy Game, not the Campaign. I recommend earning this along with Hardcore MK.III for maximum efficiency. It will unlock when you control every island in a Strategy Game. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/-mjzFQ==.jpg Hardcore MK.I 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 1 island without using load See Hardcore MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/-4gLhg==.jpg Hardcore MK.II 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 3 islands without using load See Hardcore MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/-akCMw==.jpg Hardcore MK.III 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 5 islands without using load This achievement can only be earned in the Strategy Game, not the Campaign. The concept behind this series of achievements is to not ever load a saved game while capturing five islands held by the enemy AI. Note that islands that are green on the strategic map are not occupied and do not count for this achievement. This also means that if you blow up the Command Center on one of the enemy islands, that island will not count for the achievement either since that turns the island to neutral. Start a strategy game with the following settings: Captured Islands Count (between Half and Most), Enemy Strength (Weak) Startup Resources (High), Islands Output Rate (High), and Victory Conditions - Destroy Enemy Carrier (Required). You will start with most of the islands, and you need to make sure the enemy has five under his control. If he doesn't restart the scenario with your captured islands count slightly less. Provision up as desired and start off. The best approach is to sink his carrier first so that he doesn't go around capturing any of your islands. To do this build at least two torpedoes (in case you miss) and then hunt him down. You will get alerts telling you he is attacking an island, so just head there and intercept him. The most reliable way of killing him is to load up a Manta with a torpedo and drop it in straight from behind, then bring your carrier up behind him and lay into him with your plasma gun. If you want to launch missiles or rockets from your Mantas while the AI fires your plasma it will go somewhat faster. Once you have him sunk, you will get a message asking if you want to continue, and you need to say yes. Now you must capture five of his islands without EVER loading a save game, so this means you need to do this in one sitting. If you load a save for any reason - including the game freezing on you - the whole process must be started over. Once you have unlocked Hardcore MK.III, capture any remaining islands including the AI's stockpile if you haven't already done so (for 5 Finger Discount) and all but one neutral (green) island. Save here and use this for the Millionaire and Hammer and Nails achievements. When you are done with those, capture the last neutral island to unlock Conqueror of the Dead Zone and end the game. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-6b4ek=.jpg Iron Fist MK.I 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 1 island with a Strong defense See Iron Fist MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-y66Fw=.jpg Iron Fist MK.II 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 10 islands with a Strong defense See Iron Fist MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-1aEM8=.jpg Iron Fist MK.III 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 50 islands with a Strong defense This achievement can only be earned in the Strategy Game, not the Campaign. Start a strategy game with the following settings: Captured Islands Count (Half), Enemy Strength (Midway between Medium and Strong) Startup Resources (High), Islands Output Rate (High). You will start with three islands. Provision up as desired and start going to small islands on the map (while the island placements are random, the individual islands themselves are exactly the same layouts as in the campaign). When you find one that is listed as Strong (press on the strategic map to see the rating), capture it. Strong islands are actually about a medium difficulty in the game, but save frequently to avoid issues. When hacking the command center, save just before completing the hack. Reload that save 49 times and you will have all three of the Iron Fist achievements. Note that this achievement does not stack with the various Bunker Buster or Balls of Steel achievements. Provision up as desired and start going to small islands on the map (while the island placements are random, the individual islands themselves are exactly the same layouts as in the campaign). When you find one that is listed as Very Strong (press on the strategic map to see the rating), capture it. Very Strong islands can be reasonably tough, so save frequently. When hacking the command center, save just before completing the hack. Reload that save 24 times and you will have all three of the Bunker Buster achievements. Note that this achievement does not stack with the various Iron Fist or Balls of Steel achievements. However, the settings provided will likely create a game with both Deadly and Very Strong islands, so you can use the same game for those captures. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/+eNa+w==.jpg Balls Of Steel MK.I 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 1 island with a Deadly defense See Balls of Steel MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/+sRO9Q==.jpg Balls Of Steel MK.II 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 10 islands with a Deadly defense See Balls of Steel MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/+yS2Zg==.jpg Balls Of Steel MK.III 75 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Capture 25 islands with a Deadly defense This achievement can only be earned in the Strategy Game, not the Campaign. To destroy a Manta from direct control, you must be driving a Walrus, flying a Manta, or using the turrets on the carrier and shoot down a Manta controlled by the enemy AI. Any Mantas that are shot down by your carrier, turrets, Walruses or Mantas that you are not directly controlling do not count for these achievements. I would suggest doing this in the campaign, during the chase after Dr. Mao Shin. There will be an auto save created entitled "DeadLock - Volcano Combat" that is ideal for getting 6 kills in less than 10 seconds. You are in a prototype Manta with an incredibly powerful gun, so chewing through a few Mantas is a cinch. Rinse and repeat until you have 1000 kills, at which point the achievement will unlock. If you choose to do this early in the campaign, the first point at which you face enemy Mantas and can shoot them down is Frontier, the fifth island. To destroy a Walrus from direct control, you must be controlling either a Manta or Walrus of your own and shoot the final shot that destroys a Walrus controlled by the enemy AI. Any Walruses that are destroyed by your carrier, turrets, or vehicles that you are not directly controlling do not count for these achievements. I would suggest completing the campaign first as you will need to destroy a lot of them to finish that. In a strategy game, invade an enemy island, starting by destroying any anti-vehicle turrets. When you are being approached by multiple enemy Walruses, save the game, destroy them, then reload the save. Rinse and repeat until you have 1000 kills, at which point the achievement will unlock. If you choose to do this in the campaign, the first point at which you face enemy Walruses and can destroy them is after commandeering your carrier and attacking the second island, Arachnid. Note however that this stacks with the three Air Strike achievements, and as such you should not worry about these directly. Instead, focus on unlocking Air Strike MK.III and these three will unlock along the way. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-jwsJQ=.jpg Barricade Blaster MK.I 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Destroy 1 Turret from Direct Control See Barricade Blaster MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-1SW20=.jpg Barricade Blaster MK.II 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Destroy 100 Turret from Direct Control See Barricade Blaster MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-yyo-4=.jpg Barricade Blaster MK.III 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Destroy 1000 Turret from Direct Control The three Barricade Blaster achievements are cumulative both through the Gaea campaign and the strategy game. To destroy a turret from direct control, you must be controlling either a Manta or Walrus of your own and shoot the final shot that destroys a turret controlled by the enemy AI. Any turrets that are destroyed by your carrier or vehicles that you are not directly controlling do not count for these achievements. I would suggest completing the campaign first as you will need to destroy a lot of them to finish that. In a strategy game, invade an enemy island, starting by destroying any nearby Mantas, then save the game. Use a Manta of your own armed with missiles and an ammo box to destroy every turret in range, then reload the save. Rinse and repeat until you have 1000 kills, at which point the achievement will unlock. If the enemy controls Treasure, this is one of the best maps for this achievement. There are 13 turrets grouped around and just south of the Command Center, so this can go pretty quickly for a grinding achievement especially if you go in with missiles and a gatling. If you choose to do this in the campaign, the first point at which you face enemy turrets and can destroy them is while invading Arachnid, the first island you attack after commandeering your carrier. There are several turrets you will have to destroy to succeed at this mission, so you can easily create a save file with your Walrus' gun pointed at a damaged turret. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-rqy58=.jpg Road Kill MK.I 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Run over 1 enemy infantry unit See Road Kill MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-sKMww=.jpg Road Kill MK.II 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Run over 50 enemy infantry units See Road Kill MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-krOrk=.jpg Road Kill MK.III 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Run over 100 enemy infantry units The three Road Kill achievements are cumulative both through the Gaea campaign and the strategy game. To run over an enemy infantry, you must be controlling a Walrus and steer it such that you run over one of the robots the enemy AI uses as foot soldiers. Any infantry killed by gunfire, your carrier, turrets, or vehicles that you are not directly controlling do not count for these achievements. I would suggest doing this on the first island you invade after commandeering your carrier (Arachnid) as generally you will want to shoot the infantry from afar to reduce damage you take. In your first Walrus after heading up the hill from the beach, the road turns to the right. Around this corner is a turret, and to the right of the turret is a group of three infantry. Save as you come around the corner, run over the infantry, and then load your save. Rinse and repeat until you have 100 kills, at which point the achievement will unlock. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-rigD0=.jpg Air Strike MK.I 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Destroy 1 Walrus using a Manta See Air Strike MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-9Aa8Q=.jpg Air Strike MK.II 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Destroy 100 Walruses using a Manta See Air Strike MK.III for details on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-6gk1c=.jpg Air Strike MK.III 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Destroy 1000 Walruses using a Manta The three Air Strike achievements are cumulative both through the Gaea campaign and the strategy game. Any Walruses that are destroyed by your carrier, turrets, or vehicles that you are not directly controlling do not count for these achievements. I would suggest completing the campaign first as you will need to destroy a lot of them to finish that. In a strategy game, invade an enemy island, starting by destroying any anti-air turrets and enemy Mantas. When you see a group of multiple enemy Walruses, save the game, destroy them, then reload the save. Using a Manta armed with rockets or missiles will make this go much faster. Rinse and repeat until you have 1000 kills, at which point the achievement will unlock. If you choose to do this in the campaign, you first gain a Manta after capturing Treasure, so the first point at which you can earn the Air Strike achievements is when attacking Frontier (the fourth island in the campaign. Note that the three Bug Crusher achievements will be unlocked by completing the requirements for the Air Strike achievements. You must visit surrounding islands that are powering the shield and shut down the power plants by picking up a coolant tank using the hook on a Manta and then dropping it into a magma pool that is being used as an energy source. Note that you do not need to capture the islands, although that may make it easier. Note: the game experiences glitches that cause the coolant tanks to not spawn. If this happens, the only fix is to reload a save prior to your arrival at the island. To save yourself some time, when arriving at an island do a flyover and locate the coolant tank before attempting any significant combat operations. In the endgame you will be in a custom Manta chasing Shin's shielded Manta. Your Manta heals itself slowly when it is not taking damage, but you will still need to avoid running into the ground or trees. Most of the chase is repetitive loops across the same areas, so you may find it advantageous to shoot turrets early. Most of the aircraft and land units you can safely ignore, although with the super gatling your Manta is equipped with, everything other than Shin is a one-shot kill. The game autosaves at several places along the chase, and you can just focus on avoiding the terrain and shooting Shin. There is one more achievement that is broken after this, so if you don't care to see the ending you can skip the footchase that starts up after shooting Shin down. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-oMLrc=.jpg Revenge Is Sweet 75 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Execute Dr. Mao Shin This achievement is broken and cannot be obtained. During the campaign as you take over islands, make sure you visit every building on every island after Outpost. Every island after Outpost has a research facility that you cannot access until after capturing the command center. However, you CAN destroy the building, especially if you like to take pot shots with the plasma cannon on the carrier. If you destroy even one of the research facilities before capturing the command center and unlocking the contents, you will need to load an earlier save to avoid missing the achievement. Note that when capturing Fulcrum, you recover the AI Opponent's database, which will give you access to any blueprints missed up to that point. You can see your current list of blue prints by selecting the carrier, pressing to open the map if it isn't already, and pressing to open the production menu. The blueprints are listed on the left, and can be sorted by unit type by pressing and item type by pressing . Any notated below as "Outpost after capture" are essentially given to you upon capturing Outpost, so you don't need to find them. Any blueprint listed below that indicates "passive" is required for the achievement but is not going to show in the list because they modify existing blueprints. In addition, several islands contain duplicates, so you may access a research center and be told that you already have the blueprint stored at that location. Carrier blueprints: Fuel (Outpost after capture) Fuel Pack (Outpost after capture) Quad Gun Front Left (Fulcrum, unmissable) Quad Gun Front Right (Fulcrum, unmissable) Quad Gun Back Left (Fulcrum, unmissable) Quad Gun Back Right (Fulcrum, unmissable) Shell (Lingard) Plasma (Fulcrum, unmissable) Flak Back Left (Fulcrum, unmissable) Flak Back Right (Fulcrum, unmissable) Flak Front Right (Fulcrum, unmissable) Flak Front Left (Fulcrum, unmissable) Manta blueprints: Manta (Outpost after capture) Arctic Upgrade (Endymion, passive upgrade, may not count for achievement but is necessary for arctic islands) Marshland Upgrade (Sanctuary, passive upgrade, may not count for achievement but is necessary for marshland islands) Volcanic Upgrade (Styx, passive upgrade, may not count for achievement but is necessary for volcanic islands) Manta Afterburner (Granite, passive) Armor MK I (Isolus) Armor MK II (Fulcrum, unmissable) Machine Gun (Outpost after capture) Ammo Box (Fulcrum, unmissable) Flares (Fulcrum, unmissable) Scanner (Milestone) Laser (Lingard) Plasma (Sanctuary) Gatling (Fulcrum, unmissable) Hook (Fulcrum, unmissable) Rockets (Fulcrum, unmissable) Missiles (Duessa) Bomb (Isolus) Tomohawk (Duessa) Walrus blueprints: Walrus (Outpost after capture) Walrus turbo (Bacchus, story related, unmissable, passive) Arctic Upgrade (Endymion, passive upgrade, may not count for achievement but is necessary for arctic islands) Marshland Upgrade (Sanctuary, passive upgrade, may not count for achievement but is necessary for marshland islands) Volcanic Upgrade (Styx, passive upgrade, may not count for achievement but is necessary for volcanic islands) Armor MK I (Beacon) Armor MK II (Fulcrum, unmissable) Machine Gun (Outpost after capture) Grenades (Outpost after capture) Ammo Box (Fulcrum, unmissable) Quad Gun (Evergreen) Hack-Capsule (Outpost after capture) Laser (Nemesis) Scanner (Milestone) Defns-Capsule (Outpost after capture) Prod-Capsule (Outpost after capture) RSC-Capsule (Outpost after capture) Laser MK II (see Lean Mean Green Machine) Gatling (Fulcrum, unmissable) Shell (Fulcrum, unmissable) Flak (Fulcrum, unmissable) Repair Gun (Fulcrum, unmissable) H.E.A.T. Creech
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-yBmuI=.jpg Lean Mean Green Machine 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Locate all Green Laser research files This is a missable story-related achievement that can only be earned while playing the Gaea campaign. For this achievement you must find the three pieces of research for the Green Laser (aka Walrus Laser MK. II). Much of the information on locations came from this thread on developer's forum. On the islands in the campaign accessible after Outpost but before Fulcrum there is a beaten up brown/rust-colored structure with a radar dish on the roof and a red panel next to the door. Approach those in a Walrus and press when the hand icon appears. You will be told a small amount of detail on what you found. There are three pieces of research required, one found on each of the three different island climates. You only need visit the structure on one of each climate. The buildings exist on the other islands, but do nothing when you interact with them. When you find one on an island, you get a completed task on the island overview of Laser Prototype: Test Log - [Climate] where "climate" is replaced with the climate type of the island. Temperate islands Beacon: On the northwest side of the island there are two hills out in the sea, with only a small isthmus of land leading to them. The building is between the two hills. Evergreen: On the east side of the island is a lake with a tall tower next to it. Just to the north of the lake in trees is the structure. Bacchus: On the southeast corner of the island, easily visible from air or land if you start at the lake and move south. Moutain islands Endymion: On the northern end of the island, roughly halfway between a Walrus garage to the west and a small base with a repair and ammo dump to the east. Very easy to spot from the air, quite difficult to see from the ground. Taksaven: In the compound with the command center is a power station. Due west of that, on the shore side of the mountain, tucked into a little clearing. Very difficult to see even from the air unless you have the sun setting. Getting there really needs the manta hook, which you don't have unlocked yet when you capture this island. Granite: On the northern part of the island there is a circular crater/lake. Directly south of it are two turrets at a road intersection. The building is between the lake and the turrets, and slightly to the west. Arctic Islands Vattland: On the northeastern island, all the way at the southeastern corner. You can actually see it from the carrier when you first arrive at the island, up on the side of a hill facing east. Isolus:There is a small lake right in the middle of the island, and the structure is just to the south of that lake on the southwest side of a hill. Lingard: On the east side of the island, just to the southwest of the ammo dump tucked up against the hill. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/+8oY7A==.jpg Kali 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Unleash the Lord of Death within you, eliminate Fulcrum's facilities This is a story-related achievement and cannot be missed while playing the Gaea campaign. This unlocks after using the Hammerhead on Fulcrum. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-9IIGY=.jpg Manhattan project 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Reassemble the Hammerhead Nuclear Missile system This is a story-related achievement and cannot be missed while playing the Gaea campaign. It will unlock after you recover the two pieces that make up the Hammerhead. Note that at this point you are told to attack Fulcrum, but the time limit is artificial and to make later gameplay easier I highly recommend capturing all other islands first (likely Lingard and Isolus). http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/-mC4tw==.jpg Lost Friends 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Restore contact with Captain Aurora This is a story-related achievement and cannot be missed while playing the Gaea campaign. After you leave Outpost, the island you pick next does not matter. This achievement unlocks after capturing the command center. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2353/5-6o2PU=.jpg Silent Heroes 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Locate survivors from the Dead Zone drop This is a story-related achievement and cannot be missed while playing the Gaea campaign. It will unlock after capturing the sixth island, Outpost. This is the real start of the campaign from a strategy standpoint, as your choices until now have been quite limited. Creech
Okay, I think this is about done. A little bit of cleanup for consistency, but that is about it.

Dragoner28
Nice Guide, especially the blueprint locations are very helpful. I think this was one of the worst games which I have ever played. On top of that the glitches and freezes. Awful...
Creech
Nice Guide, especially the blueprint locations are very helpful. I think this was one of the worst games which I have ever played. On top of that the glitches and freezes. Awful... I am glad you found the guide to be useful! I also agree that it is a game that perhaps needed a few more months of development time before release. The general concept overall was good despite the super cheesy story, but the execution was sorely lacking.
