Post A Kingdom for Keflings Achievement Guide: Step-by-Step

If I Had a Hammer 5
"Build a lumbermill (Single Player)"

The lumbermill is the fourth building you will create in the game. After selecting the blueprint required, simply fulfill the building requirements and the achievement will unlock.
*NOTE: All achievements that say "Single Player" can only be unlocked in single player mode.

Siegfried (or Roy) 5
"Train a Kefling (Single Player)"

Another simple achievement that you almost have to get. Simply pick up a Kefling and drop him (or her) on a resource, i.e. Rock Quarry, Forest. The achievement will unlock shortly thereafter.

Frank Lloyd 25
"Unlock 25 blueprints (Single Player)"

This achievement will come along as you progress through the game. As you build things, they branch off to make other things. The more you build, the more bonus blue prints you will receive. Long story short: BUILD EVERYTHING.
See http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...d.php?t=108329 for a complete guide of each blueprint, what they require, and what they will unlock.

Big Bully 15
"Became the big bully of the village (Single Player)"

This is one of the easier achievements. Simply kick your Keflings (kick by standing near them and pushing ) 30 times to get this one. I suggest doing it at the very beginning of the game, as you have plenty of unoccupied Keflings to kick around.

Haberdasher 20
"Encounter every possible Kefling hat (Single Player)"

This is another one you will get along the way. You need to train your Keflings to do everything possible. You must at one point train a:
Miner (Stone Quarry)

Lumberjack (Forest)

Carrier (Trained to carry goods for you)

Wool Harvester (Sheep, Sheers are found to the west of town center, embedded in a forest)

Crystal Harvester (Crystals, Rod found southeast of town, surrounded by Stone Quarries)

Primary School Student (Kefling placed in Primary School)

Secondary School Student (Kefling placed in Secondary School)

Guild Kelfing (Kefling placed in Guildhall)

Mayor (Kefling placed in Town Hall)

Lord (Mayor placed in Keep)

King (Lord placed in Castle)

Artist (After creating an Artist's Plaza, select it and choose a color to get a Kefling with the hat)
*NOTE: Artist Hat tends to glitch. If you are positive that you have all the hats but still aren't getting that achievement, select you Artist's Plaza and a color again. This hat seems to reset after each game reboot.

Like Rabbits 15
"Reach a total Kefling population of 30 (Single Player)"

This achievement is easy to unlock as well. Simply complete all the quests that your Mayor/Lord/King gives you, along with checking the sites your workers are harvesting to get love, as love and other upgrades are hidden under resources. Use the love to build Houses and Cottages to get your Keflings. To get quests, simply go to the Mayor/Lord/King when he has a "!" over his head and push .

Think Big 10
"Build a building made of more than 8 pieces (Single Player)"

This achievement will unlock as you progress through the game. Simply build a building, i.e. Contractor's Office, that will require you to make more than 8 different pieces to unlock it.

Master Builder 25
"Build a cathedral (Single Player)"

This achievement will come relatively late in the game. As it says, you need to successfully construct a cathedral for your town. The cathedral becomes available after You Build a Tailor, Dye Mixer Upgrade (Unlocks Manor) and a Manor.

King 40
"Finish a complete castle with three connected parts (Single Player)"

This achievement is unlocked by making it to the end of the main blueprint list and creating a castle. The attachable parts are the Arsenal, the Chatelet, the Main Well, and the Residential Tower. Attach three of these to your castle with Castle Walls to get this achievement.

Vanity 20
"Built a glorious statue of oneself (Single Player)"

This one can be unlocked once you have created a Sculptor. In the Sculptor, the bottom of the list (excluding the Stockpiles) has statues called Busts of (Somename). There are four different ones. Choose which ever one your want and build 4 of them. Arrange these 4 Busts in a square, much like the Town Square and it will form a Colossus. The achievement will them unlock.
*NOTE: Additionally, you will need to create 4 ofthe same statue. You will also need to have built a Wizard's Tower in order to create the Magic Powder required for building the busts. Thanks to RenovatioCogito

Friend 10
"Collect 10 unique player banners from other giants during Xbox LIVE play"

This one is tricky. It is still a toss up as to how this one unlocks. Some say you need to host an Xbox Live game, build up to a Town Workshop (Including a Town Hall) and have 10 people build Banner Towers from the Town Workshop in your game. However, this may not be true, as I have seen someone who has joined a game get the achievement from being in that game until 10 different people had created a Banner Tower.

World Traveler 10
"Play in an online game where 20 different player banners appear"

This one can be done in two different ways. One way is to host your own game, and yes saving it helps if you can't do it in one sitting, and having 20 visitors build Banner Towers and leaving them all on the map. The second method is to join a game that already has at least 20 different Banner Towers around the map. Both work just as easily. The second method is mostly luck, though there are people who have many Banner Towers in a saved game to help others get this achievement.

There's already been an achievement guide posted for a week or so, thanks for trying though (And you've obviously just reworded my guide since you don't even have 200 on the game at the time of posting this)

lol i didn't but the ones I'm missing I figured out how to get before I could find the guides lol. Because I'm an achievement hoarder so I usually look at the guides right away and couldn't find one lol

Besides, most achievements are self explanatory anyway lol

Could we perhaps get stickies on [M]ike's and my guides, along with the blue print guide?

Use the edit button in future; triple-posting is messy.
ALso, don't see any need for 2 guides to be stickied, this one locked maybe? :P

Somebody has issues.. if your penis is abnormally small I suggest you go get it checked out

I was just saying, there are far more posts on my guide and therefore you may find the answer to a question has been posted there.

This ^ LOL

[M]ike thank you for making my day. Papasmurf wrote an excellent guide and you have the nerve to post a reply being a total ass to him and others in this thread. You brag about how many posts YOUR guide has on it, blah blah blah. And when I go back and look in the forums for the "stickied" guide, I see no sign of yours?

Don't be so arrogant and pull that whole "Well I posted my guide FIRST so you don't have the right to post another guide." crap because, as it appears to me, your guide wasn't selected to be a sticky. So go take some time to take your foot out of your mouth and learn that being an ass doesn't always mean you come out on top, or even on the first page for that matter lol.

Papa, thank you for your work. You showed a lot of class when you gave him credit which he obviously didn't deserve when he got so anal about you posting your guide. Cheers to you Papa.

The programming for this game seems to be smart enough to see that you are not moving the sticks, and your keflings take a siesta.

The banners can unlock any time, but you've got to have your character near the workshop so you can "see" it being built. As long as you're near the workshop and it's visible on the screen, you'll get credit for each one built by 10 unique people. I got this while I was asleep, by just leaving my game running and my character next to the workshop.

Of course, I saved my map first, so it wouldn't matter if my kingdom was torn down by bullies.

For "Friend", there's no need to host a game. As long as you're in a session long enough to witness 10 players building banner towers, you'll unlock the achievement.

I got it by joining a friend's game. He let his game run, building some stuff and saving once in a while, while I went to bed with my character just standing there. A few hours later when I woke up, his xbox crashed, the session was ended, but the achievement was still unlocked.

hmm...this is a wierd one. I'd try building every possible building that you can without doing those because maybe you are missing on eof the buildings needed to unlock them. Just build one of everything available. If that doesnt work then id try destroying a building needed to unlock the next blue print and rebuilding it. If that one fails, ur save is bug and I'm sorry to say but ull have to start over

Would you guys say joining a random game online and doing something else is a easy way to get the one for 10 banners?

Also, if Im doing everything else correctly how long does it take to get a castle?

Hi, I would like to break away from the penis discussion for a bit. For the friend achievement I am having a bit of trouble unlocking that. I have started a public online game and I now have had 11 people including myself make banner towers. I did do this over a period of two days though, and two of the banner towers are made of stone. Do either of these things matter? Any ideas as to what's keeping me from unlocking it?

Ok so i wanted to go do some stuff and just let my keflings go to work harvesting stuff and running the place while i was gone. So i plugged in a wired controler that way the controller wouldnt go on standby. But within a few minutes of me not doing anything the kefflings just sat down and kinda danced. Is there anything i can do to stop them from doing this and make them constantly work that doesnt involve me being even in the room.

The best and fastest way to get the mp achievements (at least right now cause a lot of ppl are playing it the week it went on sale) is simply joining a game that already had 3/4 ppl, and just tell them you'll make a banner if everybody else makes a banner. Join 3-5 games and you'll have both achievements without wasting hours hosting a game or setting up banner trading through the forums.

I just got this and I only had two banner towers in my Kingdom. Mine and another players. It's cumulative so no need to get them in a single map.
