Introduction:
Welcome to Crackdown 2, a sandbox game created by Ruffian Games. Crackdown 2 takes 10 years after the story of Crackdown. The city has been over run by a gang known as Cell and the Infected known as Freaks. Get ready to climb huge skyscrapers, grab a massive amount of collectibles, and blow up huge amounts of Cell and Infected. You will be saving the city with your super agent, one more time.

Breakdown:
Since there is no difficulty based achievements, you can begin right away on "Fragile" difficulty(easiest difficulty). As you play through the game, whenever you see agility orbs, go for them as much as possible. Having a high agility early on helps you get around the city much easier. Always use a variety of attacks to level up equally in all skill levels.

Story Mode:
Playing through the story will net you a minimum of 350 for just the story. Play through the story destroying all the Beacons and Cell Strongholds as you play. You will obtain everything that is story related as you play through the story.

Collectible Orbs and Audio Logs:
There are total of 925 Collectible Orbs found in Pacific City.
  • 500 - Agility Orbs (King of the World)
  • 300 - Hidden Orbs (Sixth Sense)
  • 45 - Renegade Orbs
    • 30 - Renegade Agility Orbs (Renegade Runner)
    • 15 - Renegade Driving Orbs (Renegade Racer)
  • 80 - Xbox Live Orbs (LIVE and let LIVE)
There are a total of 52 Audio Logs found in Pacific City.
  • 52 - Audio Logs (Closed Book)
These will take a majority of your time. Each Orb and Audio Log has a distinctive look and possible sound that you will become accustomed to hearing. Check each Orbs and Audio Logs(achievement name) in the guide for the best way to locate and get these collectibles.

Road and Rooftop Races:
There are a total of 30 Races found in Pacific City. Road Races and Rooftop Races are both distinguished with their different flags. Road Races have purple checkered flags, and Rooftop Races have green checkered flags.
  • 15 - Road Races (Street Racer)
  • 15 - Rooftop Races(Rooftop Racer)

Wingsuit Stunt Rings and Vehicle Stunt Rings:
There are a total of 50 Stunt Rings found in Pacific City.
  • 10 - Wingsuit Stunt Rings(Wingsuit Racer)
  • 40 - Vehicle Stunt Rings(Stuntman)
They are found as either Green circles for Wingsuit Stunt Rings, and Purple circles for Vehicle Stunt Rings.

Miscellaneous/Clean up:
If you have missed anything it should deal with killing certain enemies or doing a single objective. Refer to the Achievement Guide for help on cleaning up whatever you have left over.

Conclusion:
Crackdown 2 is one game that doesn't get enough credit. It is great for coop game play that many may be looking for. But none the less, a enjoyable sandbox game among the ranks.

Yippee-Kai-Yay 10
Drive an Agency SUV into an airborne helicopter.

You unlock the Agency SUV at Driving skill level 4. There are two relatively easy ways to get this achievement.

  1. Have a friend go get a helicopter from the Agency Tower and have them bring it to you. Just drive the Agency SUV into the helicopter and it will unlock.
  2. Find a Ramp truck and set it up near a tactical location. Have the SUV ready a little big away and call in a vehicle of some sorts. As the helicopter comes down. Drive up the ramp and hit the helicopter.

Strike! 10
Kill 25 Freaks with thrown objects or vehicles.

This is cumulative and can be easily accomplished once you have enough strength to pick up a car. You can use anything that can be picked up with and then thrown with the .

Victory Roll 10
Alone or with another Agent, kill an enemy with a mounted turret while airborne and upside-down!

The easiest way to unlock this is with the agency buggy that you unlock at Driving Skill Level 2. You don't have to be airborne to really do this, just upside down. You want to do this at night in a freak populated area so that it is easier to get a kill on one of them. Pressing the will make the turret fire, and the button is how you aim the turret. An easy way to flip your car is to drive into the side of a wall at a angle to flip your car. And once your car is flipped shoot at the enemies around you.

Mosh Pit 10
Land 20 successful hand-to-hand attacks in a chain. Under 3 secs between attacks to chain them.

Once you reach the Strength skill to level 2. You will be able to pick up broken lamp posts and street signs to use as weapons. Find a huge group of Freaks and start hitting them with the sign. As long as they don't knock you down the chain will keep going. It is okay if they hit you as that doesn't restart the chain.

Scarface 10
Use the minigun to amass 20 enemy kills in a 10 second period.

Any kind of turret works for this. Attached, Detached, or the Agency Buggy turret. The easiest way is once you unlock the Agency Buggy at Driving Skill Level 2. You want to do this at night in a freak populated area so that it is easier to get a kill on one of them. Pressing the will make the turret fire, and the button is how you aim the turret.

Zero Factor 10
Use a UV weapon to amass 20 Freak kills in a 10 second period.

This should come with minimal difficulty. You unlock the UV shotgun at Firearms Level 2. At night find a big bunch of freaks and just start going crazy. The UV shotgun kills freaks at one shot as long as it hits them. While defending Beacons is a easy way to get lots of kills quick.

Street Sweeper 10
While driving a vehicle kill 5 enemies in a single power slide.

This can be done in basically any vehicle that has some speed. Find a group of Freaks and get either the Agency Cruiser, Agency Buggy(Level 2), or the Agency Supercar(Level 3). Drive at the group of freaks and just before you hit them, power slide into them by either pressing left or right on the and pressing the to handbreak.

Pin Cushion 10
Use Harpoon Gun to pin 5 enemies to a single vehicle.

You unlock the Harpoon Gun at Skill Level 5 in your Firearms skill. The best vehicles to use are big ones like the Agency SUV/Tank or Buses/Trucks. Don't pick up the vehicle because the enemies will fall off.

For this I'd recommend getting a small light car. And then putting it up against a wall, then simply bounce it against the wall. Just keep trying until it hit that sweet spot where it'll gain some height and then just fire a few more times til it pops.

Grab the harpoon gun (level 4 firearms). Spawn with an agency cruiser and start driving around. See if you can stop next to a sidewalk or an area where enemies will be somewhat near your car. Aim and make sure that they are in front of the car, you can move the car around to find more people.

Not sure if that is right - I got the achievement and have collected 0/80 Online Orbs...

Unless just standing near one, and not actually collecting it counts?

Each Renegade Agility Orb has a certain amount of spikes on them. They can either have none or up to 6 spikes on them. The more spikes it has, the more difficult and faster the orb is. Try to match the level with your skill level. (Ex: Don't go for a level 6 Renegade Orb with Level 2 Agility Skill) Refer to the diagram below.

If you need a map, use this: Renegade Agility Orb Map
I found an easy way to collect them... You just have to fall down (from an helicopter for example) on them... Here an example :

Running around the city is a easy way to obtain orbs. Once you reach the 200+ point. Grab a helicopter and click down the to turbo speed. This will make your mini map a very large area and just start pinging() to see if any orbs are around. You can always check your progress in a certain area by going (start) > Achievements > and scroll to find "Sixth Sense."

Here are the total orbs for each area(300 total):

  • Hope Springs - 87
  • Green Bay - 101
  • Unity Heights - 105
  • Agency Island - 7
If you need help, use this interactive map: Hidden Orb Interactive Map
One question, does pinging the map show hidden orbs too?

The Closer 20
Close down every Freak Breach in Pacific City, alone or with another Agent.

There are a total of 25 Freak Breaches found in Pacific City. Once you detonate a beacon, a Freak Breach will appear in the vicinity. Freak Breaches are found by their yellow markers. They can only be accomplished at night. The best weapon to quickly get rid of them is by using the UV Shotgun at large groups and once there are a huge cluster, throw grenades/use explosive weapons. Once you have killed all of the enemies, a helicopter will come and close the hole. This counts as closing a Freak Breach.
I have search the threads but haven't found anything about this so I thought I would give an even EASIER way to get this achievement. I posted this on another site so I am just going to paste it on here.

The best & fastest way I found how to do this is to go to Agency Tower, go to the helicopter pad & get the helicopter with the rockets. Then go to each Freak Breach & hover above it, you don't have to land, & the Breach will open. Then fly up a little and start shooting the rockets till all the Freaks are gone.

You get to the Freak Breaches faster & kill everyone quicker.

There is a few that are indoors so it won't work on those but 98% of them can be done this way.

Edit: Someone did comment that it is possible to fly the helicopter into the indoor ones, it just takes a bit of careful flying. Thanks Gauderio

Am I able to just be in my friends game when he completes this or do i need to do them all with him, as he accidentally done one without me, and now Im worried Im going to have to do the whole game again to get them all.

Yes it does, you begin there and it counts as being in the Agency Airspace.

Re: Bomberman

When you're activating the third beacon in Hope Springs, there's easily 30+ explosive barrels close together in the underground area. I got the achievement accidentally, and there were still plenty more explosives one could detonate if need be.

Great guide so far buddy. It should help me out loads when I get the game. Your BFBC2 guide helped me out loads too

Just one tiny thing I spotted, in your introduction, it should read "Crackdown 2 takes place 10 years after the story of Crackdown". Keep up the good work

For the Car Jump achievement, the car you land on doesn't have to be moving fast. It just has to be moving. Also, the interstate area that links all the districts together is usually the best place to get a car that is moving faster than normal. I would also suggest staying on the car and trying to land on a Cell vehicle that will usually slow down enough for you to land on very easily. Just make sure you jump and land on it before it comes to a complete stop.

For the Mosh Pit achievement, I found it easy enough to get in a huge swarm of at least 20+ freaks. All those freaks lowers your chance of having a stray kick or punch going rogue and not making contact with an enemy.

For the Street Sweeper achievement, I suggest leveling up your driving to level 2 so you can use the Agency Buggy. Just drive full speed into a large group of freaks and hold A and the LS either to the left or right to ensure you hit at least 5 enemies with 1 powerslide.

For the Pile Driver achievement, level up your strength to level 5 to unlock ground strike, then find a large group of freaks. Just jump and hold B. At level 5 strength, you're almost guaranteed to kill at least 5 enemies.

*I'll post more tips as I play more. Nice guide so far. Just thought I'd throw my suggestions in the mix.

There's another very easy way to get Bomberman. I just got it unintentionally by getting in a helicopter armed with rocket launchers. All you need to do is alternate firing the left and right rockets until you get it.

.
In my game you do a handbrake turn when you press a en left or right,
Holding the left trigger en steering left or right makes you do a powerslide.
