Introduction:
Welcome to Dead Space: Ignition. DS:I is an interactive comic that challenges you to survive the the initial Necromorph outbreak that occurs on the Sprawl, a space station that serves as the setting for Dead Space 2.
You'll be engaged into 3 different mini-games: Trace Route, System Override and Hardware Crack. Some of these mini-games or rather easy, others can be challenging, especially as you progress through the story.
You will need at least 4 playthroughs if you aim the 200 on this game. But don't worry, one playthrough shouldn't take too long (approx.20-25 minutes) except on your 1st playthrough maybe which can take a bit longer to get familiar to the mini-games.
There are 4 different routes to take. Each route tells a slightly different story of what might have happened on the Sprawl. You can always skip the cutscenes by pressing two times. But again, the game tells you a different story, especially on Acts 2 and 3. As for Acts 1 and 4, these are the same regardless the route you take.
As soon as you did your first hacking mini-game, it will unlock 4 items which you can use in Dead Space 2, being: an exclusive hacker suite, a hacker-themed contact beam weapon skin, exclusive audio logs, and some power nodes, health packs and credits to give Isaac Clarke an edge during Dead Space 2.

Step 1: first playthrough (offline)
At the main menu, select "Ignition" to start your first playthrough. After a little story introduction, you'll get your first set of mini-games, unlocking Trace Element, Stormed to the Core!, and Laser Burn achievements. When you get to your first choice of path to take, take whichever route you want (see "Chief Engineer" for more information). On Act 4, your RIG will be fully upgraded unlocking the Dirty Work! achievement. After this Act, the game ends unlocking the Did anyone survive? achievement.

Step 2: second playthrough + mini-game (online)
After you've done your first playthrough, the campaign through the leaderboards will become accessible (thanks CressDX). At the main menu, choose "leaderboards" and then "Ignition" to start up your 2nd campaign playthrough. Be sure to choose another route this time (other than the one from step 1). It doesn't matter how long it takes you to get to the end of this playthrough, but note that your game will not be saved while on this playthrough. So you have to do this in one sitting. Once you've successfully completed your 2nd playthrough, the score will be sent to the leaderboards unlocking the Catch me if you can! achievement.
Then, again at the main menu, choose "leaderboards", and pick one of the mini-games (Trace Route, System Override, Hardware Crack). Just complete one in order to get the Stop the Clock! achievement for it.

Step 3: third and fourth playthroughs (offline)
At the main menu, start the Ignition campaign again. Be sure to choose other routes than the ones you took in steps 1 and 2. You can also choose to do these playthroughs through the leaderboards, but the advantage of doing these offline, is the autosaving feature after each mini-game.
Now that you're familiair with the mini-games, you could aim to finish a playthrough within 25 minutes to unlock the Ain't got time to bleed! achievement.
Assuming you took a different route on each playthrough, you will unlock All your Trace are belong to us, Infectious, Planet Cracker and Chief Engineer.

Step 4: speedy playthrough (optional)
In case you didn't manage to unlock the achievement for finishing a playthrough in less than 25 minutes in the previous steps, keep trying! I found that route A had the easiest trace routes and the laser mini-game solutions available in the forum will hopefully help a lot as well.

Conclusion:
Overall an easy and not time consuming 200. It's more to "prepare" you for Dead Space 2 and give you some nice gadgets along the way. Thank you for using this guide and road map.

Chief Engineer35
Complete all hacks in any single player mode.

Assuming you already got the Ain't no time to bleed! achievement, this will be the last achievement you'll unlock.

In order to do so, you'll have the hack ALL Trace Route, System Override and Hardware Crack on ALL 4 different paths! As soon as you've done the last hack on the 4th path, this achievement will pop.

- Route A: Act 1 (Start) -> Act 2A (Lighting Failure) -> Act 3A (Direct Route) -> Act 4
- Route B: Act 1 (Start) -> Act 2A (Lighting Failure) -> Act 3B (Cross the Rim) -> Act 4
- Route C: Act 1 (Start) -> Act 2B (Hostage Situation) -> Act 3C (Spacewalk) -> Act 4
- Route D: Act 1 (Start) -> Act 2B (Hostage Situation) -> Act 3D (Interior Route) -> Act 4

Catch me if you can!20
Complete one Ignition mode path through the Leaderboards.

Similar to the Did anyone survive? achievement, except this has to be done through the leaderboards. At the main menu, choose "Leaderboards", then "Ignition" en press to start the story/campaign. Once you've successfully finished one of the routes A, B, C or D, your time will be sent to the leaderboards unlocking this achievement.

Note: This has to be done in one sitting! You cannot quit in the middle of the game and continue where you left earlier. The game doesn't autosave after a completed mini-game! But, you can pause the game and continue later on, if you leave your console turned on of course.

Did anyone survive?20
Complete Ignition Mode.

You'll get this achievement as soon as you've finished your first playthrough in Ignition mode, regardless of the chosen path. For more information about the possible paths, check the Chief Engineer achievement description.

Dirty Work!10
Unlock the level 4 engineering RIG.

I wouldn't worry too much about this achievement, as you'll get it before the end of your first playthrough just by playing naturally!
Playing Ignition mode, whether it be single player or through the leaderboards, your RIG will be upgraded each time you come to a new Act, with a last upgrade at the end of your playthrough.
These upgrades will affect the number of different power-ups (i.e. tools such as firewall, reflectors, etc.) you can carry for the mini-games. Once it is fully upgraded, it'll be easier to do these mini-games, making it easier as well to get the Ain't no time to bleed! achievement.

Stop the Clock!5
Successfully complete any hack on the Leaderboards.

At the main menu, select "Leaderboards" where you'll find 4 gametypes being:
- Ignition (campaign)
- Trace Route (hacking mini-game)
- System Override (hacking mini-game)
- Hardware Crack (hacking mini-game)

All you need to do is play just one of these hacking mini-games, whether it be Trace Route, System Override or Hardware Crack. After you've completed one of them successfully, your score will be sent to the leaderboards unlocking this achievement at the same time.

Ain’t got time to bleed! 20
Successfully complete Ignition mode within 25 minutes by any route (excluding movies).

In order to unlock this achievement, you'll have to successfully finish one playthrough in less than 25 minutes chosing one of the four possible paths (see Chief Engineer achievement description for the possible paths to take). This can be regular single player or through the leaderboards. These 25 minutes are only for the time spent on the mini-games, not including the cutscenes, so that's a relief!

Make good use of the Hardware Crack puzzle solutions found in this thread or this thread to speed up these specific laser mini-games, so that you'll have more time to spend on the Trace Route and System Override mini-games. And, having your RIG fully upgraded (after your 1st playthrough) will help a lot!! You can also press to pause the game if need to be.
Getting this achievement shouldn't be too difficult and there is a big chance you'll get this before having finished the 4th playthrough, as you'll have become familiar with the mini-games.

I hate Ain't got time to bleed I keep getting close and missing it by less than a minute. It's the achievement I don't have on this.

Thanks for the guide! I went with route C and got in 23ish minutes. Too close for comfort.

But finally 200/200!

Trace Element15
Successfully complete a Trace Route hack in any single player mode.

See All your Trace are belong to us

All your Trace are belong to us15
Successfully complete all Trace Route hacks in any single player mode.

Trace Route is some kind of side scrolling "racing" mini-game, where your goal is navigate your (red) trace from start to finish (i.e. core) before the other (blue) traces do. Unfortunately, you'll come across several obstacles along the way. And as if it isn't already difficult enough, the track rotates after a while so that you'll not only be steering up or down, but will have to steer right or left.

There's no easy way of doing it. You will need some skills, but you also have some tools (speed boost, firewall, control reverse) at your disposal to gain advantage on the other traces. Make good use of these tools, and try to go through link libraries (i.e. speed boosts). Avoid the DDoS segments (control reverse) at all times, these can be a real pain.

How I did it: When a blue trace was close behind me, I did drop a firewall () to slow it down (especially in narrow places), or a DDoS () to make it confused. When I was almost at the end of the track, I used the speed boosts () to get there 1st. If you fail a few times, try to memorize the path to take as best as you can.

As soon as you finish the first racing mini-game, it will unlock the Trace Element achievement. You need to finish ALL Trace Routes on the 4 different paths to unlock All your Trace are belong to us.

In game's tutorial: ("How to play" can be accessed at sub-menu "Help & options")

Use the to move your trace through the data stream.

Avoid data blocks (i.e. blocks with 1's and 0's in it), hitting them slows you down.

There are AI countermeasures that'll try to get to the core 1st. Don't let them.
If they get there first, it'll lock the system down and you'll be logged out.

There are link libraries (i.e. circle with triangles in it). If you pass through one, you'll get a speed boost. You also carry one of these, to use in emergencies. To use a boost, tap the button.

Avoid firewals (i.e. lines connected between dots), they'll slow you down. You also carry a firewill you can drop. To drop a firewall, tap the button.

Sometimes, you'll want to slow down and make some precise movements. To slow down, hold down the button.

Also, avoid DDoS segments (i.e. blocks with red and blue arrows swapping sides). If you pass through it, it'll reverse your controls. You carry one to use on the AI countermeasures too. To drop a DDoS, tap the button.

Stormed the Core!15
Successfully complete a System Override hack in any single player mode.

See Infectious

Infectious15
Successfully complete all System Override hacks in any single player mode.

System Override is some kind of "virus" mini-game, which can be confusing at first. Your goal here is to take control of the system core by sending different kinds of viruses throughout the system, destroying the anti-virus defense mechanics along the way, and reaching the green port which is the system core. The viruses move wall-hugging following the system board's pattern.

I got through these mini-games by doing this: first, destroy the weak hexa-cells by sending in a power spike, shortening the path from start to core. Then, I've sent in a few cycler viruses immediately followed by a mix of corruption and slaver viruses. I've let the energy recharge, and then I've sent in another mix, repeating these steps over and over until I reached the core. I almost never used the spoof viruses.

As soon as you finish the first virus mini-game, it will unlock the Stormed to the Core! achievement. You need to finish ALL System Override on the 4 different paths to unlock Infectious.

In game's tutorial: ("How to play" can be accessed at sub-menu "Help & options")

The red port releases your viruses. To switch the direction the virus releases, tap .
Between you and the core, you'll find anti-virus units, which you'll need to destroy.

Cycler viruses (i.e. circle with arrow) slow the anti-virus down, so for a little while they won't fight back. To send in a cycler, tap the button.

You also have a standard corruption virus (i.e. radioactive symbol) which will attack the anti-virus. To send in a corruption, tap the button.

Watch your energy bar on the right. Sending a virus will use up some of this charge. It fills back up automatically, but slowly. Keep an eye on it.

There's also the spoof virus (i.e. cross-like) which can't be seen by most of the anti-viruses. To send in a spoof, tap the button. The scanners (i.e. radar alike spinning clockwise) are able to see these spoof viruses. If this sees a spoof, it'll light it up and start an all-out attack. Try to destroy or disable the scanners before using spoofs.

You'll notice in some systems, there are weak spots (i.e. darker hexa-cell). Take advantage of these with a well aimed power spike. Move the cursor with the . To trigger a power spike hold down . You can also use the power spike on the anti-virus, though it won't be as effective.

Then, there is the slaver virus (i.e. biohazard symbol). To send in a slaver virus, tap the button. This confuses anti-virus systems, so they'll attack each other. Now the effect doesn't last for ever, and they have a limited range. Mix them up with some corruption units, and you can cause some real damage.

Laser Burn15
Successfully complete a Hardware Crack in any single player mode.

See Planet Cracker

Planet Cracker15
Successfully complete all Hardware Cracks in any single player mode.

Hardware Crack is some kind of pretty fun "laser" mini-game. The goal is to connect the laser beams to the according receivers matching their respective colors, using a limited amount of different kinds of tools (reflector, projector, chip removal).

If you can't figure out the solution for a specific laser puzzle, check my Hardware Crack videos or II OE II's Hardware Crack maps to find the Hardware Cracks solutions.

As soon as you finish the first laser mini-game, it will unlock the Laser Burn achievement.
You need to finish all Hardware Cracks using the 4 different paths to unlock Planet Cracker.

In game's tutorial: ("How to play" can be accessed at sub-menu "Help & options")

You need to direct the green energy beams into the green receivers and the red energy beams into the red receivers. You do this by reflecting the beam with the reflectors.

Put the cursor where you want a reflector, then press the button to drop one.
With the cursor on the reflector, press the button to rotate it.

If you make a mistake and want to remove a piece, you can. Pick the piece you want to remove, and press the button.

Keep an eye on the timer, if the system runs out of power it will reset.

Sometimes, you might need to split a beam. Pick the spot you want, and press the button to drop a projector.

You can also combine the red and green beams to make a yellow one, which then have to be used for the yellow receivers you'll come across.
On one side, send in a green beam, and on another side, send in a red beam. The outcome will be a yellow beam (2x).

You can also break off some of the components on the circuit board. Pick one that's in the way. To break a component, tap the button. Once you've removed a component, the beams can pass over where it was.

You'll also come across capacitors (i.e. vertically black rectangle components). If you get an energy beam too close, these will start to charge. If it reaches the top, the thing will explode, and knock loose any pieces you've placed. So be careful!

I haven't come to this part yet, but I have a feeling it has something to do with the "multiplayer".
As for the moment, as soon as you start the game, you get disconnected from LIVE. Even while in the game, it's totally impossible to connect to LIVE.

As for the achievement, my guess is that you'll have to do one (or more) hack(s) and that you're fastest time will be sent to the leaderboards. And, from the moment your time has been "sent", I think it will unlock it.

It's just a feeling...

To get the leader-board achievement you just go on the leader-boards and go on ignition then just click A, play the entire game and then pop achievement. The to get the other one just go back on the leader-board pick one of the three puzzle types then finish that puzzle then pop done!

Also great guide cheers.

I'm pre-ordering the Collectors Edition even though I won't be able to play it (I live in the UK, the CE isn't for Europe :l)

I got this Arcade for free (pre-order), and I'm not going to open the CE when I get it. I'm gonna be a nerd and hope it's worth a bit in the future (especially the replica gun).

It`s taking me more than 4 playthroughs to get the Ain’t got time to bleed! achievement in this game. You should put in your guide that it will take some players 4 playthroughs to get the Ain’t got time to bleed! achievement.

Is that the reason why you vote negative?

I did put "4+" on the road map. What do you think that does mean?

Oh, wait, you are the one who kept attacking stallion83 all the time on TA... that figures!

I had to do 5 playthroughs as well because the leader board path didn't count for me. I did A, leader board B, C, D. And then had to redo B in single player to get all the achievements

I went through all 4 different playthroughs, but didn't get half the achievements, like Chief Engineer, Planet Cracker, Infectious, and All your trace belong to us.. guess I'll have to do them again.

you only have to do the online playthrough (way) again - only do it locally this time! The online playthrough doesn't count towards those achievements! The OP did a mistake in his roadmap!

You can actually do the 2 Leaderboard achievements offline. You don't have to be connected to xbox live. My router died before I got those achievements, and I decided to do the hardware crack one on the leaderboards since it was fast just to see what happened. It gave me the cannot connect to leaderboards message, but I hit start game anyways. To my surprise, the achievement popped when I finished, even offline. I tried the leaderboard Ignition runthrough and it also popped. So this game can be done entirely offline.
