iM@S2 Achievement Guide

This won't be formatted as prettily as my original at http://imas.wikia.com/wiki/Achievements_Guide . But, by request here are the iDOLM@STER2 achievements. For other English-language iM@S2 gameplay information, please visit (and contribute to) the wiki!

There are 50 achievements for a total of 1000 gamerscore in iDOLM@STER2. Many of the achievements are unlockable through putting in the requisite gameplay time, yet there are some that require becoming quite proficient at producing your idol unit. The game is designed so that you can earn the complete list in nine playthroughs.

Go! Our First Job! (5G) (行け! はじめてのお仕事!)

Complete your first promotional job (TV, radio, events, etc.) with your idol unit. You will earn this automatically after the job you do during week 1 of your first playthrough.
Compete! Our First Audition! (5G) (挑め! 初オーディション!)

Complete your first audition. You will earn this automatically after The Debut audition in week 3 of your first playthrough.
Fight! Rising Moon! (5G) (戦え! RISING MOON!)

Participate in the Rising Moon festival. You will earn this automatically after the forced loss to Ryuuguu Komachi in week 10 of your first playthrough.
Finish in a Flash! Odyssey! (5G) (吹っ飛ばせ! ODYSSEY!)

Participate in the Odyssey festival. You will earn this automatically after the forced tie with Amagase Touma in week 31 of your first playthrough.
Gather! IA Nominations Presentation! (5G) (集え! IAノミネート発表会!)

Appear at the announcement ceremony nominating candidates for the Idol Academy Grand Prix award. You will earn this automatically after singing at the ceremony in week 41 of your first playthrough. To earn your spot here, you must either have a single in the top 20 by week 36 or beat the IA Survivor audition in week 40. If you do not succeed at earning the CD ranking, the story mode will automatically send you to the audition.
Take 'em Down! FIRE BALL! (5G) (ぶちのめせ! FIRE BALL!)

Participate in the Fire Ball festival. You will earn this after defeating Jupiter in week 54 of your first playthrough. They are tough, but if you fail, the game will rewind and give you a chance to raise your stats then try again. Eventually you will beat them. It's toughest on your first play due to not having many equippable items unlocked yet.
Collaborate! Our First Quintet Live! (5G) (集合! はじめてのクィンテットライブ!)

Successfully perform a quintet live with all idols showing up and participating. Win the live with your regular unit, then the two extra girls you invited will come for the encore (or ditch you). If they show, you'll unlock this achievement.
Aim for it! Our First Ranked Single! (5G) (目指せ! 初ランクイン!)

Have a single place in the top 100 on the Dotop TV sales charts. This should happen around week 6 of your first playthrough if you pick out your single at your first chance in week 3.
Top 50 (5G) (ベスト50)

Have a single place in the top 50 on the Dotop TV sales charts. CD sales are most influenced by song high score, fan awareness, and which of your five singles it is (later CDs sell better).
Top 20 (10G) (ベスト20)

Have a single place in the top 20 on the Dotop TV sales charts.
Top Ten (15G) (ベスト10)

Have a single place in the top 10 on the Dotop TV sales charts.
Top Five (20G) (ベスト5)

Have a single place in the top 5 on the Dotop TV sales charts.
Top Idol (35G) (トップアイドル)

Have a single reach first place on the Dotop TV sales charts.

It's OK if your fan count subsequently drops below 100K in the area after you beat the festival.

Fear! The Training from Hell! (5G) (恐怖! 地獄の特訓!)

Impose the Training from Hell upon your idol unit. This is a special running minigame that pumps up your stats, but it can only be accessed by needing some "help" with the official storyline events. It is highly likely that you will encounter at least one if not all of these during your first playthrough. There are three ways to access it.
  • Fail to beat Ryuuguu Komachi at Fujisan Rock in week 21, which is the second time you face them (you're supposed to win the second time). The game will rewind to week 20 and impose hell training, looping until you win the festival.
  • Fail to get any single in the top 20 of Dotop TV by week 36. Week 39 will be the hell training, and week 40 will be the IA Survivor Audition as the secondary way to get an IA Nomination. No rewind is required for Option 2.
  • Fail to beat Jupiter at Fire Ball in week 54. The game will rewind to week 53 and impose hell training, looping until you win the festival.

AweOfShe1's Gamercard
Dang, I wish I saw caught that wikia before I 1000GS/Plat both versions. It would have shaved off quite a bit of playtime, when I was playing it on 360. >_<

Great work, though! I wasn't sure if you needed help with a Promotion/Publicity section, but I can help with that if you need.
